If you're ready to upgrade the sound on your 2014-up Harley-Davidson®, Kenwood has a solution. The Excelon P-HD2R speaker and amp package features saddlebag speakers and a compact amplifier designed specifically for select Road Glide and Street Glide models (excluding CVO® models). This kit fits right into your Harley, and no flashing of the factory radio is required.

A compact, powerful amp

This package includes a 2-channel Kenwood Excelon XM160-2 amplifier that'll produce big-time power. This compact Class D amp is built to handle life on the road, so you'll enjoy excellent performance no matter where your travels take you.

The XM160-2 is made to rock hard and run cool, even when tucked into a tight space. Plus, the high-efficiency design won't overload your motorcycle's electrical systems, and it'll work with your factory radio or any aftermarket receiver. You'll install your amp using the included mounting plates and Harley-specific wiring kit — no wire trimming or special modifications required.

Big sound for the saddlebags

For the saddlebags, there's a pair of Kenwood Excelon 6”x9” XM69R speakers plus a pair of sharp-looking metal mesh grilles. These powerful speakers feature a sealed design that keeps water from passing through, plus silicone gaskets for extra protection. The package also includes a cut-in kit for the saddlebags.

Amplifier

No Flashing Required: The Kenwood amplifier is tuned for the best performance with a stock Harley-Davidson headunit, letting you install the amp without the need for flashing the factory radio.

Power: The Kenwood XM160-2 amplifier can output 80W RMS (2Ω) x 2 channels.

Class D Design: The amplifier features a Class D design, which uses digital switching power supplies. The result is a more efficient amplifier, generating less heat than Class AB amps of equal power. The Class D design also allows the amplifier to be built on a small chassis, and installed where space is limited.

Signal Sensing: The amplifier has a signal-sensing turn-on circuit on the speaker level input. When a signal is detected on the speaker level inputs, the amplifier will automatically power on. When the signal is no longer detected, the amp will turn off. This allows you to install the amplifier without a remote turn-on lead.

Input Sensitivity Control: The XM160-2 features an Input Sensitivity control, letting you dial in the maximum headunit signal while keeping it below the distortion point.

Connections:

Power & Ground: The amplifier features an attached 8" power & ground input harness consisting of 10-gauge wire terminated in a Molex plug. An additional 5' power & ground harness attaches to this and gets run to the vehicle battery. The amp's 8" power wire includes an inline 15A ATO fuse, and the 5' extension includes an additional inline 15A fuse for protection at the battery. The power and ground wires are terminated in 0.32" ring terminals.
Speaker Level Input/Bypass: A 17" 8-pin harness provides the input channels, with connectors that plug directly into the factory radio output wiring. A 4-pin Bypass harness is attached, letting you jumper the input signal back out to additional amplifiers (sold separately) using the provided Input Link harness.
Speaker Output: A 21" 4-pin output harness provides the connection to the Harley-Davidson factory front speaker wires.

Amplifier Mounting: Two amplifier mounting plates are provided for Harley-Davidson Road Glide/Road Glide Ultra and Street Glide/Street Glide Ultra. Both brackets include pre-applied hook-and-loop fastener as well as on the amplifier, letting you easily attach/detach the amp to either mounting plate. The mounting plates use factory hardware for mounting.

Rear Speakers

Saddlebag Speakers: The included Kenwood XM69R 6"x9" 2-way speakers are designed for mounting into the hardshell saddlebag lids on select Harley-Davidson motorcycles. The XM69Rs feature IMPP (Injection-Molded Polypropylene) woofer cones with rubber surrounds and 1" PEI dome tweeters. The speakers feature a sealed design to prevent water ingress and include 2 pairs of silicon mounting gaskets. The 2-ohm speakers can handle up to 200 watts RMS (400W peak) and have a frequency response of 20Hz-25kHz.

Speaker Installation

Saddlebag Installation Kit: The Kenwood CA-CUT14 6X9" Cut-In Lid Kit lets you install your 6x9" speakers into the hardshell saddlebag lids of select 2014-up Harley-Davidson motorcycles. The installation kit positions your speakers facing towards the rider for optimal sound projection. The CA-CUT14 minimizes bag space loss and features built-in water drain channels.

Note: Installation of the Kenwood CA-CUT14 kit will require modifications to your factory hardshell saddlebags.
