Q
At what frequency do the high pass cross-overs that come with these speakers crossover at?
john  Nov 06, 2023
1 answer
A
The crossover frequency is set at 850Hz, though the speakers can technically operate at a minimum of 800Hz.

Q
How do these compare to a 1inch tweeter?

I'm certainly no audio expert, but these Kenwoods sound 1000 times better than the junk stock speakers that I replaced. I have been very pleased with them.

I wouldnt buy these again... Unfortunately one blew within 3 months Ended up getting a Memphis audio product
benjamin  Jun 11, 2023
A
With these being midrange speakers, they will be able to produce lower frequencies that a typical 1" tweeter. They will produce treble and mids, whereas a 1" tweeter focuses more on treble.

Q
How do these compare to a 1inch tweeter?
lex009  Jun 06, 2023

A
Greetings Alex, and thank you for your question. There are a lot of 1 inch tweeter options out there, but for the most part a tweeters frequency range can be anywhere from 2000 Hz to 40,000 Hz. These are more of a high midrange speaker. their range is 800 Hz to 20,000 Hz.

Q
Is what we see in the picture a in line base blocker? Comes with speakers?
andy  Dec 11, 2022

Yes those are in line bass blockers and they come with the speakers.

Q
Do these speakers come with base blockers??
andy  Dec 11, 2022

A
They do come with in line crossovers at 800Hz however if you wanted to block frequencies higher than that we do sell others that will restrict more.

I want to keep my factory radio in my 2018 Z71. Upgradr just speakers. Is there 4 0r 6 speaker dash , rear and front doors. Can you add a amp/ to factory radio?
benjamen  Jan 24, 2021

A
Yes you can just replace speakers. There are 6 speakers in a 4 door truck unless you have the Bose system. I replace all my speakers and added an amp and sub for superb sound.

Installing in a 2017 Colorado, non-Bose system, new aftermarket amp, new LC7i line converter. Do I keep, or remove the crossover? I'm not sure if the front door speakers are tied into the dash speakers?

Q
Is there an adapter connector for my 2018 Toyota Tacoma?
sam  Jul 14, 2020
1 answer
A
I have a 2016 Tacoma and I was not able to find a connector. You do need to splice the wires so that the front door speakers work. I'm not sure of the term but these speakers are 'in line' with the front door speakers.

Installed an aftermarket deck, with aftermarket speakers (not-component). Do I keep the crossover, or cut it off?

No keep

i only used the crossover that came with my aftermarket head unit and speakers. I didn't use any of the stock components from the original system. My front door component speaker crossover feeds these tweeters. I love them and they sound great.

Q
I'm installing these on a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I have an aftermarket stereo with the original Infinity factory speakers. Do I need to splice any wires, or is this plug 'n play?

I just installed these on a 2017 Tacoma and it was plug n play. Not sure on the Jeep. Better hit the forums...
ken  Jul 28, 2019
A
These speakers come with standard speaker wires. You would have to get OEM connectors to plug into your oem if applicable
tommie  Jul 28, 2019
A
They were not plug n play on my 2000. But splicing the wires was a piece of cake. They are nice speakers

Q
2019 GMC Canyon W/Bose stereo... Will these speakers work in the dash corners? I've read that Bose sometimes uses speakers with non-standard impedance numbers.

A
I changed my corner dash Bose speakers on my 2018 Nissan Murano with Bose system for a pair of these Kenwood speakers and they work perfectly. The sound difference is night and day. The only thing you need to consider is if you replace a 2 ohm speaker with a 4 ohm, you will not get the full volume on the 4 ohm because there is more resistance but you will get a fuller range of sound because of the better quality of the Kenwood speakers. I highly recommend them.

Yes it will fit .. not only will this Product be the perfect fit but it will give you the best sounds

Q
I am attaching these to the factory head unit. DO I leave the crossover attached or cut it off?
bryan joseph  Apr 17, 2019

A
ALWAYS use passive crossovers with tweeters/dash mids, even if you're running them active. It's a fail safe incase something gets messed up and they are accidentally feed a signal low enough to blow them
galen  Jan 03, 2021
A
I left the crossover on with the OEM head unit but I also have an aftermarket amp attached. They work great
donald  Apr 24, 2019
A
I just installed these on my Camry where the dash speakers are hooked up to the front door speakers from the factory. In that situation you leave the crossover on. If the dash speakers are independent then you can cut it off.
shawn  Apr 18, 2019
A
You would leave them attached for a factory head unit install. You only cut them off if you're hooking them up to an (aftermarket) amplifier that had crossover controls built into it.
dan  Apr 17, 2019
A
I left it all together I have a Bose system in an 06 Pathfinder I left everything all I did was hook the wires up and went with it
nicholas  Apr 17, 2019
