I installed them with a 5 channel amp with 300 watts RMS. With just one it hits hard. I am using a sealed box and it hasn't given me any issues. It doesn't smell even after bumping it for a while. I am definitely thinking about getting another, especially considering the price

great hitting subs, very satisfied with the outcome, just make sure you have an amp that is strong enough to push the subs

I purchased 2 of these 12's and used a sealed dual chamber box and I am powering each sub with 2 Kenwood KAC-5207 amplifiers bridged in mono mode. According to the Kenwood information each amp is putting out 170 watts rms. So that's 340 watts total system RMS power. I installed them in 2017 Hyundai Tucson and to say I am impressed is an understatement. The bass is tight and with the power to them they are very efficient, they will rattle everything around them. No distortion issues at all. I highly recommend them!
