Typical Crutchfield, honestly. Quite expensive for what it is, but it does what it says on the tin, and vanishes once installed. (Of course, there isn't much worth listening to over the airwaves, but it's nice to have the function work if you want it to work.)

Great reception

The antenna adapter works great. I still am able to get all of the stations I was before. That was one of my concerns with replacing the radio as the majority of what I listen to is based a little over an hour away from where I live.

But my car has an antennae, why do I need this? Yep, that was my thought too but if the geniuses at Crutchfield recommend this, get it! This part serves 2 purposes. First, it converts the stereo units push in antennae input to the OEM locking type. Second, it gives you an additional 10 or so inches of wire so that you can actually connect it in a comfortable position. Trust the experts at Crutchfield with this stuff, they definately have done their homework.

The antenna wire that is stuck in the vehicle is extremely short and no play. This adapter not only help the cable convert from factory to aftermarket but extend the length making the setup easier.

Could have been shorter. Between length of pigtail on the radio and factory antenna cable once the adapter installed I ended up with a lot of slack to package into the dash.
