Features

Crutchfield Wiring Harness: Crutchfield wiring harnesses prevent you from having to cut your vehicle's factory radio plug when replacing your factory radio with an aftermarket head unit. Simply solder or crimp the Crutchfield wiring harness to your aftermarket head unit's harness (solder & crimps not included), plug the aftermarket head unit's plug into the rear chassis of the aftermarket head unit, and plug the Crutchfield wiring harness into your vehicle's factory radio plug.

Note: Installation tools, hardware, & accessories are not included & sold separately. Please see the Accessories tab for recommendations & availability.

Wiring Notes: If the Crutchfield wiring harness is not equipped with a ground wire, you will need to ground the aftermarket head unit's ground wire to the metal chassis of your vehicle. Some vehicle's may require you to bypass the vehicle's factory amplifier (in another location from factory radio) or hardwire certain connections. If your vehicle is equipped with factory steering wheel controls, an additional adapter is required & sold separately.

Wire Code Chart:

Wire Color Function
Red +12 Volt Accessory
Yellow +12 Volt Constant
Black Chassis Ground (for Subaru only)
Blue/White Amp Turn-On
Orange Illumination
White RCA Left Front Channel
Gray RCA Right Front Channel
Green RCA Left Rear Channel
Violet RCA Right Rear Channel

Factory Amp Note: This harness includes RCA connections (instead of speaker wire leads) to connect the aftermarket head unit's preamp outputs to your vehicle's factory amp. Your aftermarket head unit must be equipped with front & rear preamp outputs.

Ground Wire Note: The ground wire found in the wiring harness is only for select vehicles only. Confirm that your vehicle's wiring harness has a corresponding ground wire. If no wire is present, connect the ground wire of your aftermarket head unit to the vehicle's metal chassis.

Q
Is it possible to retain SWC with this specific harness?

Greetings Jerred. Thank you for your question. This harness is just for the power, memory, ground and signal. It does not have the steering wheel control interface built in. For all the correct install gear for your vehicle, please call one of our advisors at 800-324-9695.

I'd call and talk to an expert at Crutchfield. When installing on an Outback, I ran into several issues and had to reach out for support. If memory serves, the Crutchfield rep had to dive deep into documentation online to find the right configuration.

I have this wiring harness for a 2008 nisssan rogue with bose sound system. The harness white adapter part is not snaping in all the way with factory harness. Im getting no power to the stereo. Connections are strong checked with a multimeter testing harness connects. The only thing i didn't realize is the antenna adopter has a blue power wire i didn't solder yet maybe thats why my stereo wont power up?
