Does not go in as easy, needs better quality and be more flexible. 6 of the 8 connections I made was quite too tight bending the speaker connectors. I've tried Red Wolf connectors and they were nice.

Works, but speaker connection can be treacherous

Works as designed. Used when upgrading the factory dash speakers and subwoofer in a Lexus NX with the base audio system (4 total). I fed the factory sub signal into an amp, so for that one I just cut the speaker connectors off of the adapter and spliced it to the amp's input leads. The only problem, and the reason for docking a star, is that the small speaker connector is virtually impossible to seat. The large one slides right on and locks into place, but the small one gets about halfway onto the tab and then stops. I have to force it into place using pliers, and I can see the speaker's tab starting to deform from the pressure. I'm not talking about the PCB that the tabs sit on, mind you, I'm talking about the metal tab itself starting to deform at its base. I've had the same problem on several installations using various brands of speakers over many years, so it's not the speakers' fault.

Fast to get here..after ordering from another site and receiving a universal adapter (which didn't work) and holding up project.went to the pros and received the correct adapters and finished the install.should have gone there first

23 Rav4 Prime with advanced package, bought Infinity front dash replacement speakers from another retailer and the wire adapters they recommended weren't close to correct, looked on Crutchfield's site, found what I needed, ordered and had the proper part in hand a few days later, they fit perfectly and installed easily. Fits the 2024 Corolla, minimal effort installation. Wish it was a little longer though to forgive you if you mounted the speaker with the terminals on the opposite side of the stock harness, just slightly too short if you do that.

Good product!

This product has good build quality and perfect fit for 2021 RAV4 XSE hybrid front and rear doors speakers. You do have to reverse the polarity to make it right with the non JBL head unit of this model year and below. I can't speak for the later years.

Beware to get proper adapter

This adapter works perfect with the 2022+ Lexus NX model. Do NOT accept what the Sales Advisor says about not fitting. The Metra 72-7902 DO NOT FIT, period.

Easy to use adapter

Extremely easy to plug in and use adapter, it just clips into the OEM speaker connection, and hooks onto the speaker terminals. The positive and negative are both two different sizes too so that it gets even less confusing!

They work.. but only if you cut off one of the ends to connect to Hertz speakers. One is visibly smaller than the other as you'd expect, but these need to be modified to work.

Does NOT work out of the box with current Rav4 generation

This harness is NOT plug and play with the Rav4 Generation 5 (2019-2021). The positive and negative are flipped so you still have to cut the wires, switch them, and crimp/solder. There is no mention of this in the Rav4 guide that Crutchfield provides. Nice of Crutchfield to supply a free harness but irresponsible in that it is not plug and play. Wonder how many people have installed this thing not knowing the positive and negative are flipped, tbis having a flawed install...

Great plug and play

Great plug and play for 2021 tacoma double cab rear door speakers. Only issue I had was trying to get the white wire through the speaker adapter. The plastic on the female disconnect was a tad large and I had to force it through the hole. Other than that it took less than 30 minutes to install my brand new infinity reference speakers.
