Metra 95-1005 Dash Kit

2004 Kia Sedona
It needs about another 1/8 inch to be perfect with my setup. I was able to make it work but with the dash of my 2004 Kia Sedona it needed a little more length to fit flush with the dash. I used a little electrical tape to hold the front on the radio during installation. Otherwise it is solidly installed and secure.
Pros:
Cons: It could use a little more adjustability.

Decent fit, be careful trimming the tabs
Crutchfield customer from Wilsonville, OR on 9/6/2019
2005 Kia Spectra
I've used several Metra dash kits over the years with good success. This one for a 2005 Kia Spectra was not my favorite. The instructions are vague when determine where to trim which tabs (this is a multi-model multi-year kit so trimming is required). I managed to mess up the side plates the first time and had to replace them. Once properly trimmed and installed the fit was decent in the dash but not great. The Spectra dash is sloped at the radio and the kit does not match that slope. So the bottom of the radio is sunken in about 3/16" and a small gap is visible. The mount is solid and the radio slid right into place. I was just bummed about the gap.
Pros: Radio mounting was solid
Cons: Vague instructions in places, poor match to angled dash results in gap near the bottom.

After some trial and error, I discovered that the face trim plate will not fit when you put the factory trim back on, so I did not install it and just used the side plates to hold the radio in place. There is a bit of a gap around the radio, but doesn't look too bad.
Pros: Works, with some modification
Cons: Face plate did not work. Had to use trial and error to get the side plates position properly. The instructions were a bit vague.

Good fit, requires trimming

2005 Kia Sorento LX
Fits great in my 05 Sorento LX. Mounts the radio securely and fits the dash opening well. The brackets attach directly to the radio housing with the screws supplied with the radio, they are not included in this kit. You will need a small saw or Dremel to trim off the unused tabs prior to installation. This does not work with EX trucks or LX trucks with sport package. If you have black headlight housings and tube side steps, you probably have the sport package, which uses the EX dash.
Pros: Fits well, sturdy mounting brackets
Cons: Lots of extra tabs to trim

wrong kit,

2006 Kia Spectra
This kit does not fit correctly in the 2006 Kia Spectra. The kit leaves a gap at the bottom of the radio and there is no way to correct it. This kit faces straight down vertically causing a gap. the center bezel is in a vertical angel. However, the kit that should fit correctly is the Metra 95-7318 Dash Kit. It reads " Does not fit" but the Metra website reads it does fit. I will give it a try, then review when installed.

Does not fit

Does not fit. Even called support and they argued with me saying that it fits. I have installed over 40 head units in my life and never have I had one made for a vehicle that did not fit. seems like many others have the same issue
Pros: None
Cons: Do Not Buy

2005 Kia Spectra SX has the same dash as the Spectra 5. This doesn't work. I had to reorder. Crutchfield took care of it and sent me out another
Pros: None.
Cons: Doesn't fit my car.

Metra Kia Kit
ReneN from Blacksburg, VA on 6/25/2014
Works, but requires extensive modification of bracket for use (cutting, filing). These are not break-off plastic pieces nor easily cut; you will need a good coping saw (or similar) and patience to modify the bracket for your vehicle. Instructions inaccurate for Kia Spectra (states not to secure radio to vehicle!).
Pros: Once modified, provides a reasonable fit of double din radio in a Kia Spectra.
Cons: A "one kit fits all" approach requires the user to modify the bracket for their specific vehicle (a pain). Make brackets specific for a given vehicle or easier to modify (it's probably $0.10 worth of plastic). And you want me to leave an expensive radio unattached in a vehicle? I don't think so. For the Spectra at least, ATTACH the bracket to the vehicle using the original OEM hardware (worked fine for me).

It was pretty easy setting this one up and the only issue was taking the plastic pieces off to fit it on my car.
Pros: Fast and Easy instsall
Cons: Plastic was a bit hard to remove the tabs which was too frustrating.

These are one of those "one size fits too many" things that get the job done but they are just plastic parts that fit together and in my case I had to break off most of the mounting tabs that didn't apply to this vehicle.
Pros:
Cons: Plastic parts
