Metra 95-7521B Dash Kit
Sean from Long Beach, NY on 1/8/2023

Does the job. I remember these being a little bit better made. The plastic braces that hold it in felt flimsy but it all went in fine. I had to mess with the fitment a bit to get seams to line up but other than that it looks great once installed.

Metra 95-7521B Dash Kit
Nicholas from Fayetteville, NC on 11/9/2022

The finish is smooth, but there is a slight gap between the trim and unit. Also, the holes on the bracket did not line up well with my car so I had to leave the screws a little loose to leave a little play.
Pros: Looks clean if you don't look too closely. Trim is smooth to the touch.
Cons: Not a perfect fit. Could be better.

95% there.

Fit is almost right - there is some gap on the upper and lower edge. However , the texture/surface finish is slightly different from that on the neighboring trim panels on my car (maybe because the car is ~10 years old at this point).

Not great but works and looks fine

The Good: The front panel looks good on the radio after the install is done The Bad: The side panels will line up with both the upper and lower screw holes in my vehicle, 2012 Mazda 5. I decided to just use the upper screws to hold in the Pioneer 8200 NEX I used with this kit. To line up the lower holes in the vehicle with the upper ones already secured, I would have to twist the side brackets so badly that it appeared they might break under the stress. Additionally, I have used kits in the past where the side panels screw into the front trim panel securing the whole thing together nicely. The sides and the front on this kit do not connect. Overall if Crutchfield sold something better than this unit I would go with it in a second. However, at the time of writing this review I think this is the only option. So bottom line, this kit works, but be aware of its limitations. (and check if Crutchfield is selling any better alternative)
Pros: The front trim panel looks good.
Cons: The side panels cannot be attached to both the upper and lower screw holes simultaneously in the car (2012 Mazda 5) that the original radio used without stressing the side panels to near breaking. Hence the radio (pioneer 8200 NEX) was only held in by the two upper screws.

Works alright

Needed this for a double din install, kit comes with clear instructions how to disassemble dash and brackets/bolts as needed. There is no guidance which holes to use with the brackets and it's really a test fit/adjust game to get the right depth set so that the stereo aligns to the face plate with no obvious gaps. The bracket itself did not align with the OEM holes at all, had to "stretch" the bracket to make it work with the mounting holes. The face plate did not snap into the tab holes on all four corners but it held "fine" after the other trim pieces below and above it were in place to give it a bit extra support. The matte finish is low key but was already scuffed somehow out of the bag. We were too many hours into the install to let that bother me at that point. Wish a higher quality kit was available with tighter fitment and better finish.
Pros: cheap, generally fits, comes with dash removal instructions
Cons: fitment is only ok at best, surface is matte and easily scuffs

Nice fit and finish into the Mazda 5. I just wished the stereo brackets were less flimsy
Pros: fit and finish is good
Cons: side brackets seem a little flimsy
