Flimsy Junk
Jeff from California on 1/5/2025
2015 Toyota Sienna
Metra's quality has fallen off a cliff and is now in the toilet. This thin, flimsy piece of plastic is a prime example of that. If it was not for Crutchfield promoting their products, they would likely not be able to get away with it. Crutchfield should do a bit more due diligence on the products they recommend.
Pros: Seem to be the only game in town.
Cons: (1) Poor quality materials and design. (2) Leaves a gap around a standard dual din radio

Double Din head unit DOES NOT FIT
David from West Granby, CT on 12/25/2024
2017 Toyota Sienna
It looks like it will fit the dash, but the Pioneer DMH-W3050NEX will not fit into IT. Double DIN standard is 7"W x 4"H. The opening in this kit is 6.9"W x 4"H. I will certainly contact Crutchfield Customer Support, but unless they can either increase the opening of this kit or decrease the width of the head unit by 3/32"...OVER THE PHONE...I am not sure what help they can offer. I bought from Crutchfield specifically to ensure hassle-free installation, and that's clearly not what I'm getting. Ugh.

It just doesn't fit.
Robert from OKLAHOMA CITY, OK on 8/31/2024
2015 Toyota Sienna
I've used several Metro kits over the years and they've always been decent. This one, however, is just unacceptable. Sadly, it's too late to return my order. It simply does not fit the Kenwood Excelon DNX697S that I'm installing on my 2015 Toyota Sienna. I had to cut the thinner side of the bracket to get it to fit over the unit. I almost broke the head unit trying to get it forced on. I tried slipping it over the back and the front, with the same clearance problem of about 1/8 of an inch on the left and right sides. Sadly, I'm going to have to install it like this while I look for an install kit that actually works. Additionally, if it had fit over it, it would have had the same problem as others with 1/4 of an inch Gap on either the top or the bottom.
Pros: None.
Cons: Extremely poor fit, even if it does go on.

Metra 95-8250 Dash Kit
Amit from Freehold, NJ on 8/27/2024
2016 Toyota Sienna
Not a snug fit. Cutout is slightly bigger than the 7in head unit and has a gap which I covered with electrical tape on the inside to not be visible. Hope it holds up for some time.
Pros:
Cons: Bigger cutout

Metra 95-8250 Dash Kit
Benjamin from PASSAIC, NJ on 6/23/2024

It works, but the brackets are pretty flimsy plastic. They flexed a lot during installation and it wouldn't surprise me if they loosen or crack over time. I'd rather pay more for steel. I'd also like to have a front that snaps on after radio installation, instead of screwing on before, since it's very susceptible to damage during installation.

Poor fitment, unbecoming of Crutchfield
Mark from Bismarck, ND on 2/13/2024
2018 Toyota Sienna
Poor fitment which is disappointing from Crutchfield. There is a 1/4" gap around the perimeter of the head unit, and the head unit is not flush, but recessed behind the panel. Looked awful. I returned my $600 order on account of this. I would not accept this if I had a professional install this, so I won't accept this from Crutchfield. When I contacted Crutchfield, I was told no one makes a 'nice kit' for the Toyota Sienna. I was welcome to add some trim seal on my own if desired. Well, that's why I buy from Crutchfield so I don't have hassles and poor fitment. If I want that, I'll buy some random garbage online.
Pros: None
Cons: Poor fitment, gaps, not flush with bezel

Metra 95-8250 Dash Kit
Crutchfield customer from ERIE, CO on 12/18/2023

As others noted, there's a gap left open in between the stereo and the trim kit face plate. But I put a strip of weathering insulation on the top front of the stereo and the gap is invisible.

Wish it was metal
Adam from Kuna, ID on 7/19/2023
2018 Toyota Sienna
I don't blame Crutchfield, this might be the only kit on the market for my application. There is a gap between the kit and the head unit, not huge but several mm. Plus I would pay extra for metal- it is almost flimsy, adequate but barely.
Pros: it did work, but not precise fit
Cons: not great material or thickness or design

Metra 95-8250 Dash Kit
Edward from Liberty Twp, OH on 4/18/2023

Install was very easy but the opening in the faceplate was bigger than the radio. Had about 1/16" gap that I decided to leave at the top.

Poor quality/fit.
Thomas from Smyrna, GA on 1/26/2023
2019 Toyota Sienna
I have used Metra dash kits many times in the past and they were excellent quality. This one is not even close for the opening needed for a double-DIN head unit. The opening is 6-5/8" by 4", so there is a terrible gap from top to bottom. If I keep this dash kit, I may enlarge the size from left to right to 7", so that I can flush mount the Kenwood DMX-809S and use the trim ring that was included with head unit to hide the gaps. I attempted to get the Crutchfield Sales Tech to change the kit to the Metra 99-8250, so that it would include the storage pocket in case I ever decided to change to a single-DIN unit, but they said it wouldn't fit and couldn't adjust the order. Would have liked to have the option to change to a halo display. The mounting "brackets" are very flimsy and I would've liked to use the factory brackets. Still may be able to make something to do this, since I am already having to modify the face. Seems like a good project for the 3D printer. Might try ordering the Scosche TA2120B dash kit, but it doesn't appear to be any better in the photos.
Pros: Not much
Cons: Poor quality material and wrong size opening for the radio face.

Solid for the price.
Josh from Manhattan, KS on 5/24/2022
2017 Toyota Sienna
The boarder looks like the factory. Fits nice in the old spot. I did find that the cutout for the radio was about 1/8" too small to make it look real smooth. The brackets are also a bit of a flimsy plastic than I expected and certainly not like the metal ones that are factory. Got the job done though.
Pros: Looks good.
Cons: Radio cutout too small for Boss system.

Disappointing quality
Crutchfield customer from Collegeville, PA on 4/13/2021
2016 Toyota Sienna
Not the best quality, brackets are plastic and the front face plate scratched easily when installing. There's also a small gap at the top and bottom of my Kenwood 6.95" radio. Installed in a 2016 Sienna XLE
Pros: It fits
