Looks great and enabled upgrading of the sound system from the 12 year-old outdated system. Avoid having to use a touchscreen to lower the fan on the A/C. I had it professionally installed so I can't speak to the simplicity of the installation. So far, so good.

Features

Vehicle Compatibility: The Metra Turbo Kit 2 (99-7809B) is designed specifically for 2004-2008 Acura TSX vehicles. The 99-7809B allows you to replace your factory stereo with an aftermarket stereo to improve the overall sound quality of your car audio system, while retaining factory climate & steering wheel controls (separate steering wheel control adapter required; sold separately).

Note: When you replace the factory radio, you'll lose your factory satellite radio capability (if equipped).

Single- or Double-DIN Dash Kit: The included dash kit features a recessed opening that will fit most single-DIN & double-DIN aftermarket head units. A pocket is included for single-DIN installation.  The kit features high-grade ABS plastic and is contoured to match your vehicle's factory dashboard color (black) and texture.

Integrated Climate Controls: The Metra Turbo Kit 2 (99-7809B) also retains retains full functionality of your factory climate controls by integrating soft-touch buttons and and LCD screen into the front-panel of the dash kit. Your vehicle's factory HVAC harnesses will plug into the rear-panel of the kit's climate control module.

Wiring Harness: The Metra Turbo Kit 2 (99-7809B) comes with a wiring harness which will plug into your vehicle's factory radio harness and the connector on the 6-pin connector on the back of the included climate control module. The harness also features a number of bare wires which will need to be hardwired to your new aftermarket head unit's wiring harness.

What are the secret button functions on the climate control? Like holding the AC button down will change the stick figure to a female or holding the Dual button will change Fahrenheit to Celsius, holding the Mode button will allow you to change the color of the display backlight color depending which button you are pressing like drivers side temp will change to Red colors Pass side temp will change to Blue colors and the Fan button will do Green colors. Are there any others and can i get a copy of all this Info if there is any more.

It sounds like you have Navigation and integrated HVAC controls in your 2012 TSX. If you have the 2012 Acura TSX with navigation, we do not have a dash kit that will allow you to replace your radio sadly, Natasha.

If you install just this and the radio then no, youll need an AWSC-1 for the wheel controlls.

How will my new stereo will connect to the car's amplifier? It sounds like it uses the speaker outputs going into the car's harness but wouldn't the line out be better going into the amplifier?

If you are putting in a new headunit, it will likely have it's own RCA input/output. You can use those RCAs to provide low level feed to your new amp. I did not install a new amp when I installed the new headunit using this kit. It's plug and play for me. I connected all wires (speakers, constant (yellow), accessory (red), antenna (blue))per instruction and everything worked great. Hope that helps

I have a 2004 Acura TSX and i bought the Pioneer AVH-4100NEX radio, which should fit in my car from what your website os saying. My question is what install kit do i need to buy? I know the Metra 95-5812 Double DIN Installation Kit should work in my car but I'm not sure if this particular install kit will fit both my car and the radio i just bought. If this Mantra kit isn't the correct kit for this radio, can you tell me which one i should purchase?

The Metra 99-7809B dash kit allows you to install an aftermarket single- (2" tall) or double-DIN (4" tall) stereo in the 2004 Acura TSX dash panel, while maintaining all heating, ventilation, and air conditioning controls. The Pioneer AVH-4100NEX is a double DIN, so it should work just fine with the kit. The Metra 95-5812 works for your double din installation. The negative thing is that you will probably have to cut out a couple of plastic parts out from the opening in your dash before installing the radio. The instructions tell you what to remove. I did not use a rotary tool like the instructions. I used a razor knife with a brand new blade. Wasn't too hard.

I have an 04 tsx and it comes with navigation id like to install an aftermarket head unit but i dont know if id be able to because i dont have my ac controls separate from my navigation screen would this kist fit and still allow me to have control of everythin?

Thanks for your question. This kit should fit any aftermarket receiver. It includes gear for single DIN or double DIN. Single DIN receivers are all approximately 2" tall by 7" wide.
