Unfortunately for my 2023 Corolla this kit is not well suited to couple with the Kenwood DMX40S. The mounting plates do not screw comfortably into the radio and cause it to sit too low in the dashboard, causing the cover plates to not be able to fit. the screws were too short and had inconveniently large heads that prevented a lot of variability in the mounting process.

The hole for the head unit is slightly too tight for a single din head. But hey, no gap! The gloss is nice and the plastic feels robust. Keep in mind the screw holes vary from brand to brand so attaching the side brackets to the radio is a little bit trial and error. I'm my case the front trim piece doesn't quite seat right so the stock rear trim piece isn't snapping in place. I'll work on it. Might have to shave a bit of plastic off so it sits right.

Pros: The plastics used feel strong and look great

Cons: Doesn't quite fit the 2020 Corolla stock rear bezel right. Needs a little trim.

2019 Toyota Corolla

This kit was recommended for my 2019 Toyota Corolla Hatchback, but none of the parts would work with the Sony XAV-AX8100, not even the side brackets. The plastic parts feel cheap and not very sturdy--I have to assume the sum of the parts gives it strength. Your mileage may vary.
