Keep your factory chimes and other features

Installing an aftermarket receiver in many older GM vehicles means losing the chime that warns the door is open, along with other handy factory features. Axxess' AXDI-GMLN11 wiring interface lets you replace the factory receiver in these vehicles and keep your audible safety warnings along with your balance and fade controls and retained accessory power (R.A.P.). Wire up the AXDI-GMLN11 to your aftermarket radio, mount the module in a location where the chime can be heard, and plug it into the existing factory plug. The module also supplies 12V 10-amp accessory power.

The package includes a pre-wired harness for Axxess' AXSWC steering wheel control adapter (sold separately) which allows you to keep your steering wheel audio controls if present.

Installation Note: The AXDI-GMLN11 interface is designed for use in non-amplified models, models with analog amplifiers, or when bypassing a factory amplifier.

Important Note: This AXDI-GMLN11 interface allows you to keep your factory door chime (needed to keep audible safety warnings functioning) while providing a switched 12-volt power source for your new radio. If you do not use a compatible adapter when you replace your factory radio, you will disable the audible warning system in your vehicle. Crutchfield cannot provide a free wiring harness for your vehicle, and we strongly recommend that you use this interface when replacing this vehicle's factory radio. Failure to do so may result in serious injury or death.

Retained Factory Features: The Axxess Integrate AXDI-GMLN11 retains the following factory features in your vehicle after you have replaced the stock radio with an aftermarket head unit.

Factory Amplifier: The AXDI-GMLN11 is designed to retain the factory amplifier with balance and fader control. It can also be used vehicles with non-amplified factory audio systems.
RAP (Retained Accessory Power): The radio replacement interface is compatible with your vehicle's RAP (Retained Accessory Power) feature, which keeps the radio on until one of the doors is opened.
Warning Chimes: The Axxess Integrate radio replacement interface module will also retain all of your vehicle's factory warning chimes through onboard speaker.

Optional Steering Wheel Control Retention: The AXDI-GMLN11 lets you retain your vehicle's factory steering wheel controls when used with the Axxess Integrate ASWC-1 steering wheel control interface (sold separately). Your new aftermarket head unit must also be steering wheel control ready with a 3.5mm SWC jack or SWC wire lead.

Outputs: The Axxess Integrate AXDI-GMLN11 provides a 12V/10A accessory output and navigation outputs to make installation easier and less time consuming.

12V/10A Accessory Output: Since there is no 12V accessory wire in the vehicle's factory harness, the AXDI-GMLN11 is designed to provide a 12V/10A switched accessory output to your new aftermarket stereo, preventing you from having to run an accessory wire to the fuse box or underneath the steering column.
Navigation Outputs: The Axxess Integrate AXDI-GMLN11 provides navigation outputs (Parking Brake, VSS, and Reverse) to help ease the installation process of an aftermarket navigation stereo.
