Retained Factory Features: The Axxess Integrate AXDI-CL2 retains the following factory features in your vehicle after you have replaced the stock radio with an aftermarket head unit.
- Factory Non-Amplified and Amplified System Compatible: The Axxess Integrate AXDI-CL2 is designed for GM vehicles with factory non-amplified audio systems, factory analog amplified audio systems, or when bypassing the factory amplifier. The AXDI-CL2 will retain balance and fade control.
- R.A.P. (Retained Accessory Power): The ignition power source of most GM vehicles keeps the radio on until one of the doors is opened. This feature is called the R.A.P. (retained accessory power). The Axxess Integrate AXDI-CL2 is designed to retain this feature.
- Retains Warning Chimes: The Axxess Integrate AXDI-CL2 retains factory warning chimes through the use of an on-board speaker.
Outputs: The Axxess Integrate AXDI-CL2 provides a 12V/10A accessory output and navigation outputs to make installation easier and less time consuming.
- 12V/10A Accessory Output: In many GM vehicles, there is no 12-volt accessory wire in the factory harness, which requires the installer to run an accessory wire to the fuse box or underneath the steering column when installing an aftermarket radio. The AXDI-CL2 is designed to provide a 12-volt/10-amp switched accessory output (red wire).
- Navigation Outputs: The AXDI-CL2 provides navigation outputs (VSS, Parking Brake, and Reverse) to help ease the installation process of an aftermarket navigation stereo.
Optional Steering Wheel Control Adapter: The AXDI-CL2 allows you to retain your vehicle's steering wheel controls using Metra's ASWC-1 steering wheel control interface module (sold separately). Your aftermarket stereo must also support steering wheel controls.

This wiring interface does not work to install a new radio into your pickup. We have a few different wiring interfaces that can work and a few other vehicle specific installation parts that are needed too. I recommend contacting a product advisor by calling 1-800-324-9695 to get a personal recommendation on all the gear you will need

This harness works in some of the Colorado pickups and there might be a better harness depending on the options that comes in the pickup. I recommend contacting a product advisor by calling 1-800-324-9695 to check your Colorado

Saves time doing self install. I also added the pre-connected harness for the extra $28, very well worth it & saves both time & frustration. Original chimes were retained, not that I necessarily like chimes but reminds me to take my keys which I sometimes forget.
