This thing works great, I needed it for my Escape as part of a radio upgrade and bought it per Crutchfield's recommendation and am very happy with it. No pop from the factory subwoofer when turning on the radio, just like they said. Installation was simple, I just connected the three wires into the harnesses I used.

This converter is not work for the Ford Shaker 500 system. Have been through 2 complete reorders due the it not correcting the pop when the system is turned on or when changing between inputs. Only suggestion Crutchfield has is to try the PAC C2R-FRD1 Wiring Interface which multiple inputs that a 06 Mustang doesn't has

This is one of those things that's a bit difficult to review: If it works, nothing happens, and that's exactly what is supposed to happen. My best understanding (with, admitted, limited knowledge of all things that go spark in the night!) is that this item was required to eliminate a 'pop' sound when the receiver was first turned on - a problem unique to Ford vehicles. So, I can report, no 'pop', so I have to think it's working!
