Digital-to-Analog Converter with ARC: The CS-DACA is a digital-to-analog converter (DAC) that converts 2-channel PCM digital audio signals to analog stereo; or allows 2-channel PCM, Dolby Digital or DTS to pass-through digitally. It features a combination of digital inputs, as well as a variety of analog and digital outputs.
Supported Audio Formats: The CS-DACA digital-to-analog converter supports 2.0ch PCM, 5.1ch PCM, Dolby Digital, and DTS. However, only 2.0ch PCM digital audio signal can be converted to analog stereo. 2.0ch PCM, 5.1ch PCM, Dolby Digital, and DTS cann all pass-through digitally.
Inputs: The CS-DACA is outfitted with a HDMI ARC jack, optical (toslink) digital input, and a coaxial (SPDIF) digital input. A 3-way switch (labeled A, T, C) on the digital-to-analog convert allows you to select which input to use. Once selected, that input's audio will be transmitted from all connected outputs.

Note: The HDMI ARC jack only support audio transmission (video is not supported).
Outputs: The CS-DACA is equipped with analog & digital outputs. There is a 3.5mm headphone jack output and a stereo RCA output, as well as a optical (toslink) digital output and a coaxial (SPDIF) digital output. All outputs are live at the same time and the selected input source's digital audio will be transmitted from all connected analog & digital outputs.
- 2.0ch PCM, 5.1ch PCM, Dolby Digital, and DTS can pass-through the optical or coaxial digital outputs.
- Only 2.0ch PCM can be converted to analog via 3.5mm headphone jack or stereo RCA outputs.
Power Requirements: The CS-DACA features a DC port and comes with a 32" DC-to-USB cable for powering the digital-to-analog converter using a USB/AC power adapter (sold separately) or free USB charging port on a computer, TV or other device.

This was used to connect the digital audio out connection of an LG TV to a transmitter that supplies audio signals to a pair of hearing aids via an iPhone app. TOSLINK optical audio cables were used to connect each part to the next one. It is working, and I am pleased.
