Q
I have a cable box with an IR jack in the back. Will this item work with my cable box? I just need to click the remote to turn on the cable box and change channels.

Greetings Joe, and thank you for your question. This does the opposite of what you need. This would emit an infrared signal to a IR sensor on your device. Think of it as being a sender, and what you need is a receiver. Perhaps your cable provider has a sensor that might work. We have IR repeater systems which would have the receiver, a hub, and like this flasher (emiter). Great question. I'm building a house and put an extension in the wall to lengthen the cable and allow for me to replace it in the future if it goes bad. That said, I haven't been able to see if it works yet

Yes If they have the one in stock that has the 2 eyes I would get that one. This one works great and picks up very good.

Some receivers will have a jack on the back but not all do. If not you need a repeater instead.
