Axxess HDCC-01 Wiring Interface

Used Axxcess online instructions and took my time to wire the radio harness to the Axxcess harness. 90% first pass success. Small hang-up due to my particular radio, but Crutchfield tech support quickly sorted it out and I was rolling. Highly recommend this harness as it allows you to still use other functions on your car that would be lost if you use a home-built harness.

Easy to install if you read the directions carefully and disregard the info which does not apply. Crutchfield knows exactly what is needed that takes the guesswork out of installation. Attaching the wire to the caBluetooth unit could use addition instruction. The wire from pin 15 is very small diameter so some simple instructions would be helpful. Highly recommend soldering but not mandatory.

Works well. Needs better instructions. Needed technician to help with blue and white wire connections. Once that was connected the head unit worked well.

Worth the money

The wiring kits that Crutchfield provides are definitely worth the money. This is my second purchase of a stereo from them and the install this time took a total of an hour and a half from start to finish. Couldnt be happier thanks Crutchfield

Overall this is a great set up! The receiver is easy to set up and use. I have a few downsides. It will not hook up to my phone via usb, probably because I have an iPhone. The wiring instructions are a bit tasking. The info is basic and I had to go to use a website for part of it. I should have paid extra for it to be pre-wired. And the steering wheel controlls only work on the volume side. You have to use your phone or the radio.

Extremely easy to install!

Made the installation process super easy since I only had to solder the power, remote power, and ground wires to my head unit. Came prepared for the AWSC-1 as well which was super helpful. Only gripe is that the instructions on the website for the HDCC-01 didn't specify what the grey/blue wire was for, and instead had to figure out from a forum specialized for my car. They also said to download the AX-DSP app to tune everything in and after a brief call to Metra's tech support, figured out that wasn't necessary since the DSP is an entirely different module and I wasn't using one.

This worked perfectly. Wiring to the other harnesses was pretty straightforward. The only glitch was that during installation in the car, the covers fell off. One fell behind the center console, which required more disassembly to find. Once I retrieved it, I put the covers back on and secured them with a long cable tire. Functionally, it was flawless.

Unit works like a champ. The instructions could have been more complete. They said nothing about how to make the unit "learn" the buttons in the steering wheel. But Crutchfield tech support knew how to do it.

Easy to wire, easy to install

Very easy to follow wiring instructions (esp. when using the installation instructions that come with your headunit). Basically after wiring, your headunit is plug-and-play to your car. I installed in combination with the ASWC-1 steering wheel control adaptor. Work seamlessly together.
