This Ethereal Velox HDMI cable provides the bandwidth you need to take full advantage of sources like PS5 and Xbox Series X gaming consoles, which can output high-frame-rate 4K/120Hz video to a compatible display. It also supports video resolution up to 8K, plus an audio feature known as "eARC" (enhanced Audio Return Channel), which lets you pass high-quality, uncompressed audio signals back to your receiver or sound bar from your compatible TV.

Directional fiber-optic design, powered by USB

This high-quality fiber-optic cable is "active" — it requires AC power at both ends, which is supplied by a pair of included USB adapters. Its directional design means that signals only work properly flowing one way, and the cable ends are labeled with "Source" and "Display" to show you how to hook them up correctly.

Features

USB Powered: The Velox Active Fiber HDMI cable must receive 5V/1A of power to transmit an audio/video signal. It comes with two USB/AC power adapters and two 29" USB cables to connect at each end of the cable and to a power source.

HDMI 2.1 (8K/48Gbps): The Velox Active Fiber HDMI cable meets HDMI 2.1 specifications with bandwidth capability up to 48Gbps (12Gbps x 4ch) for uncompressed ultimate high speed audio/video performance. It supports up to 8K video and up to 32 audio channels, as well as Dynamic HDR and all color subsampling. It is also HDCP 2.3 compliant for compatibility with latest copyright protections. In addition, it supports eARC, ARC, and Ethernet.

Note: It is backward compatible with HDMI 2.0, HDCP 2.2 and all earlier versions.

High-Quality Construction: Velox's ultra-premium construction and high-tech engineering results in clean, reliable performance for the demands of higher bandwidth 8K content even in long runs. The Velox Active Fiber HDMI cable features multi-layer shielding to prevent electromagnetic interference, maximizing noise isolation and protecting components from HDMI ultra-low speed emanations. It also features 24K gold-plated, corrosion-resistant contact connectors.

Directional: The Velox Active Fiber HDMI cable can only be used in one direction. The HDMI connectors on each end of the cable are marked with "Source" and "Display". Each HDMI connector must be plugged into the correct port to avoid signal loss. Locking connectors and screws are included to secure the HDMI connector to your source and display device.

Make the appropriate connections with your Source and Display device turned off.
Do not use any intermediate cables or adapters between the connections, as the signal transmission performance maybe attenuated.

CL-Listed: The Velox Active Fiber HDMI cable is CL-listed for in-wall installations. It is intended for indoor use only; do not use it outdoors (contact with moisture must be avoided under all circumstances). The PVC jacket is also lightweight, flexible, and has a small diameter of only 0.1875". The HDMI connector measures 0.875" (w) x 0.4375" x 0.9375" (d).

I have never used a HDMI cable that requires power, how exactly does this work? I have a Denon AVR-X3300W receiver that the cable will be run from through the wall to a LG C1 77 OLED. I need this to support the 4k 120 for the PS5.

This cable is designed to plug into an AC power outlets to get the power it needs to carry the 4K/120Hz signals. It comes with two USB power adapters and two 29" long power cables (one for each end).
