Good Buy - Does What It Needs To
Christopher from Perkiomenville, PA on 2/1/2025
Works great and does exactly what I needed. Was relatively easy to pull through my walls since it is a pretty flexible cord as well. One note is that the High Speed HDMI cables are NOT symmetrical - you need to make sure you have the correct ends connected to the source and display. The ends are clearly labeled, but that wasn't something I was looking for and of course installed it backwards.
Pros: Works great Relatively flexible
Cons: Not cheap

Not good for in-wall installs
Christopher from BUCKEYE, AZ on 6/8/2024
Far too bulky of a head to install in-wall combined with the delicateness of fiber. Recommend avoiding this technology for in-wall installations despite the description suggesting it can do so. Typical wall thicknesses and low voltage box setups with keystones make this cable near impossible to deal with.
Pros: Zero
Cons: Delicate, large plug, requires power

Works as advertised
Thomas from Clay, NY on 1/13/2024
Great product, works as advertised, no signal transmission issues. I purchased this cable due to the distance between my a/v components and my TV. I have a Panasonic 4k Blu-ray player (DP-UB9000P1K) and an LG 75" 4k TV (75SM9070PUA). The two components are approximately 20 feet apart and I didn't want any signal degradation that you get with copper cables. I did have a problem with one of the 2 USB power cables supplied. The USB cables power the Fiber transceivers at each end of the cable. The cable came with a bad connector (intermittent connection) that plugged into the HDMI connector. I contacted Crutchfield customer service and they sent me a replacement power brick . I had to contact them again to clarify that I needed the USB cable. Customer service then sent the cable, problem solved. Crutchfield customer service folks were very friendly and helpful. Will purchase products again from Crutchfield.
Pros: NO 8k signal issues. Cable is easy to work with. Lightweight and not large in diameter like copper equivalents.
Cons: The USB power cable connection to the HDMI plug (very small jack) is a little flimsy needs a bigger connection jack. A little pricey.

Great!
Zachary from San Antonio, TX on 12/13/2023
These are top notch cables and my picture is better than ever. They are pricey, but with the performance they provide with a lifetime warranty, I feel it is worth it. To those of you who have newer devices with the 2.1 HDMI standard, you don't need the power adapters that are provided with this cable. I'm completely satisfied with my purchase, thank you Crutchfield!

Didnt work
Crutchfield customer from GAINESVILLE, VA on 1/25/2023
I was very hopeful, but it still didn't help push the signal from receiver to projector very well. I received a signal after 15 minutes when adding a HDMI boost to the setup. Switched to HDMI extender over CAT for a much better result.

Perfect projector HDMI solution

Great for the long run for my 4K projector.
Pros: Excellent signal and seems to be very high quality.
Cons: A little expensive but doing research the price is fair for certified.

Expensive, but worth in on 10m length
Keith from Hamilton, MI on 8/5/2022
Cost more than I wanted to spend, but I had trouble with eARC dropping out with other 8k cables in 10m length and these work great. System is only as good as the weakest link, and the long 8k hdmi run was mine.
Pros: Works great on long length
Cons: Expensive

So far so good
Bill from Leesburg, VA on 3/11/2022
Working as expected. I was able to power the display end of the cable using a USB port on the TV which helps cut down on the clutter. My only complaint is the lack of an option to remove the connector body from the cable. I'd like to run one of these to my projector but with the bulk of the connector body it won't fit in the flex duct I have running to it. I'm also not exactly sure what they are expecting you to do with the screw plate option. I have never seen an HDMI chassis connector with a threaded hole next to it to accept that screw.
Pros: Flawless performance Unobtrusive cable
Cons: HDMI connector shell not removable. Color code insert difficult to remove Requires USB power supply
