The Magnets on these switches were so weak that the tolerances had to be right on in order for any of them to work. Wired up all 8 and they all tested with no continuity to ground when closed however had enough of a residual ground that it would still trigger the alarm and show the trunk was open. Tossed in a relay and it had at least 500ma of ground current to trip the relay without on hatch being opened? Buyer beware lots of labor $ lost and now have switches that cannot be returned.
Pros: Cheaper than some other brands
Cons: Not worth the headache and loss of labor $
