Love this! Have had no issues. When setting up, I was using an RTA to view the signal. Signal was nice and flat. When starting to adjust the settings, the signal was no longer flat on my RTA. The front and rear signals didn't look the same. Couldn't flatten the signal out and get them equal so I reset the unit. Tried again and the signal stayed flat as well as front and rear were exact looking signals. Finished programming and everything has worked flawlessly. Chimes work as well as blinker tick but the blinker tick sounds a little weird. My chimes and tick are set low. Have no issues with popping while powering up/down. I do hear a very small thump when I believe the interface powers up my amps. I can adjust the delay setting of the interface and/or my amps but I don't feel the need to, it doesn't bother me at all. I am not using the dsp from the interface, am using the dsp from my JL Audio amp. Interface works and the harnesses are perfect. Completely removed the Bose amplifier.

Pros: After initial set up, has been flawless!

Cons: Had to reset a few times during initial set up and start over.

Lose the Blose

This DSP/integration box is not for the average shade tree installer, you need some skill and common sense before taking on the installation. It's a device imo that was made for professional installers and the instructions are very vague. But, once installed properly it allowed me to completely remove the Bose (Blose) amp out of the equation and allow my aftermarket amps to shine in my 2024 Sierra AT4 HD. The DSP is somewhat basic, but very usable, with only LR crossovers (no Butterworth or Bessel) but it does have a parametric option on the EQ and the turn tick and chime volume adjustment works perfect...you can even turn them off if you want. Make sure you update to the latest firmware (I believe v1.5 is latest available) and go to GMupfitter.com to get the pinouts for your T3 audio amplifier connections (X1, X2, and X3)... don't expect the instructions to give you the correct pinouts. Trust me, once installed properly it works perfectly. Ignore the naysayers...they probably installed it wrong or they got a bogus unit...I assume the aforementioned.

2025 GMC Sierra AT4 w/Bose So far so good. Read a lot of mixed reviews on its functionality but everything is working as expected currently. Easy installation and configuration. Replaced entire Bose system using the axxess to add 2 amps and associated speakers.

Pros: Simple install.

Cons: Little pricey for what it is but I guess the "dsp" portion is what makes it expensive.

It works, until it doesn't. Installed in a 2024 GMC 2500 pickup truck. The install is straight forward, the app connects and controls the unit well enough, but there are glitches. Biggest issue is that it randomly does not play audio. Blinkers/tones will play but no audio from any music sources. The only fix is to turn the vehicle off for several minutes until the unit powers off. I've had it take anywhere from 2 to 10 minutes for the interface to stop showing up in the Bluetooth scan - the only way to know if it is off from the drivers seat. Once rebooted it works, but it's very obnoxious to have to delay your drive by several minutes at completely random intervals if you want music/gps/phone calls. Contacted manufacturer support and tried a couple of their suggestions, ran into weird issues with the updates they recommended, and ultimately got no solution/resolution to the issue. Did get confirmation from them that you can safely install a toggle switch to cut power to the unit so a reboot of it will be much simpler and can be done with the truck running. Less than ideal, but the stuff you have to tolerate to be modifying systems in brand new model year vehicles I guess. Still beats having the Bose processing present. Oh, and the choice of blinker sound it makes is annoying but that's a minor complaint. Would be cool if there were a few options to choose from.

this product after the install provided a nasty signal to the speakers and there is a constant humming sound it does bypass the bose amp completely so if you were to use a separate dsp and use this to get the speaker inputs that's definitely the best route but using this by itself isn't a good idea.

Maybe this unit works well for some models but, despite what Metra says, it is absolutely not compatible with 2024 GM Bose systems. I went through two units, both of which crashed beyond recovery. The unit had annoying quirks with no solution while working, and then nothing at all-no music, no calls, no signals, no vehicle notifications, and the manufacturer has no idea how to fix it. Thankfully Crutchfield customer service is legendary and made it right without hesitation. I hope you have better luck than me if you choose this route!

Pros: Sounds great, simple user interface

Cons: Product was not ready for market when released, quality is subpar, manufacturer is clueless how to fix units that fail.

My installer is a big fan of the Axxes harness after using it to install a full system in a 2023 Silverado. The amp is small and put out punchy, clean power. Very happy.

Pros: Small, powerful, great build quality, runs cool, lots of settings.

Cons: None

This does work on the 2024 Silverado 2500. However make sure you have the updates installed on controller for it to work properly. Can't speak on DSP, I left levels flat and used a different dsp.

Instructions are not that easy and the Apple app doesn't work right. Had to borrow an android phone and use their app to adjust the crossovers and frequencies. Other than those things it's a decent little factory DSP. Made my truck sound way better using this and a JL 5 channel than the Bose system.

Pros: Gives you the ability to upgrade the Bose

Cons: Apple app does not work right. Must use android for crossovers and frequency settings

What I'd Improve: I would like if there were more options to configure the location of the channels (I have a center rear speaker). Also, the phone calls output from all speakers which is very loud and distorted coming from the subwoofer this, I'd like if this were changed. Its ok, could be 5 starts... as of now it's only advantage over a good LOC is an improvement in SQ. If AudioControl's LOC/DSP's where priced more reasonably, I'd likely go with one of those over this unit.

Pros: -Easy to install -Sound is improved over a Line-Out Converter (its noticeable improvement but not drastic) -Has 10 channels

Cons: -Seems like the software may have been rushed -Channels are muted when the crossover or EQ is adjusted -The turn signal volume does not consistently adjust when set in app

2021 GMC Sierra with Bose. It works. The instructions are very poor my vehicle has a separate channel for the dash tweeters. Through trial and error I found that the front left are red/ red/black and the front right are blue/ blue/black. The bass knob also does nothing at all. The door chimes are too loud on level 2 but on level 1 have no volume at all. The mute button on the head unit and steering wheel no longer work. It says "audio muted" but nothing actually happens to the sound. The equalizer is very tedious and finicky. However, after hours and hours of playing around with the extremely glitchy app my stereo sound miles beyond the stock Bose system. I'd also like to add that I did contact Axess tech support because I was getting a weird hissing noise from the front left channel and no chimes or audio. They answered right away even on a Saturday and helped me fix it within 10 min.

Pros: Complete Bose bypass Tech support was great Very useful app if they work out the bugs.

Cons: Instructions are horrible App needs serious attention No mute

Axxess AXDSPX-ETH1 Aftermarket Amplifier Interface

Night and day difference. I was using a Fix-86 to generate preamp signals for an Alpine amp and could never get it to sound right. Getting rid of the stock Bose amp with the AXDSPX-ETH1 solved the problem and it sounds so much better now. The difference is amazing. Bose really mangled the signal coming out of the AMP and you can't really fix it with DSPs that use the output from the amp. You have to eliminate the amp completely and this does the job well. The install instructions are weak and confusing so be prepared to spend some time during installation. The generated tones for turn signals and other warnings sound a little weird. No way to actually mount the box so you need to be a little creative. This made an incredible difference on my 2021 Sierra Denali and I would recommend it to anyone trying to fix the terrible sound coming from the stock sound system.

Works great, not plug-n-play though!

Works great once you have it up and running! Be advised though, this thing is not plug-n-play. The instructions included are generic and don't make any sense unless you are a car audio installer (I am not). I couldn't have done it without the help of Jac at Crutchfield. He moved heaven and earth to find the answers to my every question with constant communication with both me and the people at Axxess. Once successfully connected you will still have to go a thru a basic setup process with the app on your phone and some troubleshooting. I heard no sound from my front right side speaker and my rear speakers were flipped. Switch some speaker wires around on the amp and Ta-dah. This puppy combined with a JL Audio 8 channel amp and my music is now loud and clear, I can actually hear my rear speakers now, unlike when they still were connected to the OEM amp. This could easily be a 5 star product if Axxess had tried a little harder on the included instructions, I have installed their factory interfaces in my other vehicles in the past and those were nice and straightforward like an IKEA manual.

Attempted install on a 2022 Sierra Denali the instructions directed to use harness labeled ETH-2 for my model. First the main Power and Speaker connector did not fit the factory connector. The data connector (Brown) was not wired to match my vehicle but the ETH-1 Brown connector matched but still could not get the main connector to fit. This is frustrating since I have all the components and equipment to upgrade the entire system but no interface to integrate and bypass Bose amp.
