NOT FOR SERIOUS CAR AUDIO

BE ADVISED: THIS BATTERY IS NOT DESIGNED TO POWER A SERIOUS CAR AUDIO SYSTEM. After purchasing it, (and A LOT of trying to get a hold of XS customer support,) I found out that the XP series is not designed to provide bursts of large output amperages. Even though this battery is supposed to have a 750 amp max output, it is not actually rated for any specific cranking amperage (testing revealed that it typically maxes out at about 100 - 240 amps.) I found this out only AFTER contacting XS Power support. The XS advisor stated that the XP series is designed to run lower power devices for a longer period of time, such as a stereo in a boat or an RV. I told him I'm running a system with a total of 520 watts RMS and a maximum draw of 80 amps. He stated that with that level of demand, it would probably shorten the life of the battery by half. He instead advised me to purchase one of their D-series batteries, which are designed for car audio, and therefore actually have specific amperage output ratings. I ended up purchasing the D680, which is rated at 370 cranking amps (despite the claim of "up to" 1000 amps,) which should be able to handle my power demands. The 4-star rating on this battery is purely for lack of clear information on its capabilities. I never actually installed it.
Pros: I'm sure it would work fine for the intended applications
Cons: Has NO amperage rating, and is therefore impossible to test. Will NOT kick out the advertised 750 watts for more than a fraction of a second. I would guess that any sustained demand of more than 30 or 40 amps will probably shorten the life of this battery.

It is being used as a secondary battery for my audio and it has worked fantastic. The compact size made easier to hide for a cleaner look

So far this product is holding up to its reputation I only ran it for about an hour had a voltage meter attached it held its voltage for that long haven't had it long so will see after about a month then rate again

I purchased this battery for use with a speaker cooler and the battery was just what I needed, it lasted an entire eight hour float trip and still had plenty of life on it the rest of the evening!

Bought this for a cooler stereo and it is awesome, it ran for 8 hours and was all playing at the end of the day. This battery is light weight and full of power

The battery has definitely done its job for me my lights don't flicker very much at all.. I have also noticed that my voltage has stabilize throughout the car with the addition of the battery.. this was just what I needed to supplement my in car battery.
Pros: The battery is small and compact and allows me to use a small space that cannot accommodate a regular battery
Cons: None right now.. I have only had the battery for one week..
