This stereo is super buggy. If it does connect wirelessly to my phone, it takes forever and on the 3rd try. Sound on CarPlay buffers while connected wirelessly and wired. FM radio has terrible connection. I get one a station in the city of Sacramento. Other than that it's pretty looking and pretty expensive.

AWSESOME unit in every way, and love that it fit in my older car with only a single DIN space (Honda S2000)! The install is smooth and straightforward, and the unit sync's up seamlessly with Apple and Android phones (my wife and I use different phones, so we needed a system that supports both). The wireless CarPlay function works perfectly, and the system software is simple to use and sounds fantastic! The only negative or item I'm not super thrilled with is Pioneer's Phone App (CarAVAssist)...the only real benefit this provides is making registering the unit easier.
Pros: Excellent sound, operation, and value!
Cons: None so far...

CarAVAssist Holding it Back
Charles A from CARY, NC on 5/30/2023

I like this receiver. it looks great and is the perfect size for truck. The screen is wider than factory U Connect 8.4, but it doesn't overwhelm the dash like a 10.1 inch screen does. It takes time to get used to the operation of this head unit, however. It's not as simple or intuitive as the UC. The Pioneer CarAVAssist app is the low point. It doesn't seem to play well with wireless CarPlay, so it's just clunky to use. I liked the fact that Alexa is built in, but due to the Pioneer app, I probably won't end up using it. Everything else works great or at least acceptably. I do love the Audio features. EQ, time correction etc. I changed nothing else from factory and the sound is much better because of these features.
Pros: EQ Time Correction Look and Feel Flexibility
Cons: Everything related to CarAVAssist

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
Doug from Overland Park, KS on 5/15/2023
2007 Chevrolet Avalanche
First the good - I have an '07 Avalanche with Bose factory system that always sounded lackluster. I installed this unit because I wanted wireless CarPlay and a backup camera. Perhaps due to the equalizer, it really woke up my factory speakers. It also allowed me to install a slim sub under the rear seat. The sound quality impressed my not easily impressed 28 year old audio-snob son. The Bad - From day one, I found the wireless CarPlay function to be glitchy. Most of the time it worked as expected. About 10% of the time it would not connect or I would experience dropouts, especially if I left my phone in my pocket rather than placing on my console directly in front of the unit. The functions of the radio requiring internet access are all but useless if you use an iPhone for your hotspot. Not a fault of the radio but due to the way Apple turns off the hotspot if idle for more than a few minutes. The process of updating the software version of the radio is completely unacceptable by today's standards especially considering it is tethered to a smartphone. The Ugly - DO NOT attempt to "restore to factory settings" as a last resort to fix glitchy performance. I tried a factory reset on the unit and the process locked it into a boot loop. I now have an expensive paperweight. I've researched the issue and many users have experienced exactly the same thing. No known fix on NEX units that don't use a boot SD card (which the 7600 and 8600 do not have). Shame on you Pioneer.
Pros: Amazing sound. Really woke up my Bose factory system Wireless CarPlay is great when the phone would connect itself
Cons: Glitchy since install and ultimately failed after less than 2 1/2 years Hands-free phone audio quality is reportedly not good on the receiving end in spite of ideal mic placement. Attempting "reset to factory settings" appears to brick the unit with no fix possible.

Great unit. The "floating" design is the best solution, though not elegant. It did impress me with the ease of setup and syncing my iPhone. I added the install kit, and wiring kit, which made the installation a breeze. I had to call to figure out how to setup the steering wheel control, and customer support was OUTSTANDING!!! I have a 4 channel amp, and a sub, and this unit has pre-outs for all 6 channels (front, rear, sub) The maps work well, and updates quickly, and Spotify is flawlessly integrated.

Bought this for a 2018 Tacoma and the exterior fit to the dash is PERFECT but it was a hard install and really didn't completely fit with out having to tear out stuff behind the headunit to allow it go back far enough. The wireless Android Auto is a dream, cable connection on old unit was failing and now no more of that. HDMI works good, played Nintendo Switch on it (while parked!).
Pros: Perfect Exterior Fit
Cons: Had to tear out more stuff in dash than planned to push it far enough back

Sounds good, but the price doesnt align with the user experience
Samuel from Gaithersburg, MD on 12/12/2022

The stereo sounds great and has some nice features, settings and all that jazz. However what's all this worth if the user experience is garbage? I'm running the latest firmware, connecting apple car play through the cable is very buggy. You have to try multiple times getting a connection failed each time until it finally connects. Once connected it's great! But I got sick of trying to connect every time I got in the car so I enabled the WiFi apple car play. The WiFi connects right up without any issues. However while listening to music it will occasionally start cutting in and out, lagging, and the menu being unresponsive. My phone is mounted on the dash maybe 6" away from the head unit so I'm not sure what else to do here, try a direct cable? Well we've tried that.. Apple car play complaints aside the head unit is laggy overall. Any time you try to switch pages, swipe on something, etc it gets stuck for a second while it loads. You can definitely tell the thing I'd rendering at a low FPS because it doesn't have enough processing power. I spent this much because I wanted a seamless premium experience. You're not going to get that with this. There's also the handful of times the software freezes requiring the head unit to be reset but it's not worth getting into it. Just avoid wasting your money on this.
Pros: Sounds great
Cons: Laggy, buggy, slow, freezes a lot definitely not worth the price.

Overall the Nex series from Pioneer is a solid solution, when combined with the Maestro RR it completely replaces my system with some small exceptions. The stereo has great features. My only real issue is that the CarAVAssist app, Hotspot connection and Apple CarPlay dont really play nice together. Overall this isn't a problem unless you want to use CarPlay and Alexa at the same time. I was able to get it to work most of the time, but because CarPlay doesn't allow the receiver to get internet access through it, Alexa requires that you connect to either a wifi hotspot (your phone) or internet access through CarAVAssist. CarPlay works consistently, unfortunately the other two dont. With CarPlay on connecting to your phones wifi is hit and miss. With CarPlay on connecting to CarAVAssist's internet link seems to work 10% of the time. Overall love the product, but, may consider keeping my Alexa Auto on the side.

Overall decent product however I have a few gripes that warrant star subtraction. 1. Fan comes on very loud and lasts a few minutes, that doesnt seem normal and cant be good for the unit. 2. Touch response time is pretty delayed, when playing around and moving through screens this can become a real nuisance/annoyance. Visually a great product and sound quality to amps for door speakers and subs are great.
Pros: graphics sound ease of use

Not too big not too small
John from Denton, TX on 11/26/2021
This is great unit. If this is going to be your first floating screen then you won't be disappointed bc this thing can be mounted in many different positions. Plus if you don't want to draw attention to your vehicles interior this one is better then the 8600. It flows much better with the dash and is less inconspicuous. Trust me I've had my radios stolen before, not a good feeling when you spent $1000+. Install is easy and maestro makes that much easier to retain everything that came stock like steering wheel controls, cameras, and cluster source info. I'm getting more info then before like tranny temp with the maestro RR, which comes in handy when towing a trailer.
Pros: Clear screen that comes with a protector, sound quality and separation. Wireless/wired CarPlay. Hdmi mirroring, maestro rr compatibility, Sirius xm sounds decent, very customizable thru the car AV. Good time alignment.
Cons: Wireless CarPlay is spotty and freezes causing music to cut in and out. If you try going wired it still pays off wireless unless you forget the network. Hdmi mirroring will not work if bluetooth is on. Usb c amd micro hdmi ports should have came with angle adapters.

Pros: Awesome size screen, tiltable, adjustable button lighting for matching to stock colors. Also there's a small light bar on the bottom that lights up the area underneath nicely at night.

Great unit, if you understand a few things
Randy from Phoenix, AZ on 10/27/2021
2008 Acura 3.2TL
Installed this DMH-WT7600NEX into my 2008 Acura TL to replace the factory stereo- what this radio does is well documented so I'll address drop-outs and glitchy behavior. Anyhow, the trick to making sure the unit plays well during wireless is to have the phone somewhat near to the unit. I typically leave my phone in the center console and that pretty much eliminates any wireless connectivity issues; this radio needs the phone close to avoid crashing. Both the this 7600 and 8600NEX (previously owned) are alike in that respect. This unit is actually very snappy compared to the Alpine ILX-207 in my Z06. Backup camera fires up immediately, rest of unit takes very little time to get past the disclaimer screen and is ready to go within 6 seconds of startup.. The Alpine takes seconds loner, and always has to find the USB before playback, not a big deal, but noticeable. This Pioneer indexes information on the USB so it doesn't need to search and load everything every time you start the car. This Pioneer indexes information on the USB so it doesn't need to search and load everything every time you start the car. This is a great unit, just understand you need to be conscious of a few things to get the best out of it.
Pros: Fast startup, decent UI, great display, FLAC playback, HD radio, Sirius, accurate GPS thanks to included GPS antenna.
Cons: very weak wifi and bluetooth range; need to keep phone close to unit for it to work reliably under wireless.

Buyer Beware, Unfinished Product at Best
Nate from LINCOLN, NE on 8/31/2021
2008 Honda Accord
I've had my 7600NEX installed for a couple months now and it's one of the most disappointing purchases I've made in quite some time. I could go on for some time about all of the issues I've had with the Pioneer 7600NEX but I'll keep it to the deal breakers to keep this as "to the point" as possible. (Fully Updated Firmware) 1. The RCA's don't have enough voltage to power the system which makes getting mid bass non existent. 2. The lag on the touch screen is very bad. The screen is what you would expect on a budget tablet about 6 years ago. 3. The Screen freezes in usually under ten minutes which is only remedied by shutting the car off and turning it back on which I usually do at stop lights. 4. The Screen changes to the connection settings menu on itself every couple minutes which I have to back out of for every single action I want to perform. 5. If I connect the USB C to my iPhone 12 the head unit power cycles about once every ten minutes. (Bluetooth Only) 6. I have to wait a solid ten seconds after I start my car to put it into gear or the Bluetooth won't connect to my phone correctly. If I do, the audio comes out of my iphone, yet I can switch songs with the touch screen on the head unit. For me, each one of the items I listed above is a deal breaker. I waited so long to get it installed and now I leave it off most the time on short trips because its too much hassle to keep the music playing.
Pros: Looks Great!
Cons: Can't play music longer than ten minutes without head unit failure.

Glitchy software
Corey from Davenport, IA on 7/16/2021
Firmware is very glitchy. When is there going to be another update? Things I'd like to see address since I spent a bunch of money on this and it doesn't work well... When I click car features it automatically reverts right back to the previous screen. I like to use the car features to monitor my diesel truck engine parameters and most the time I can't. As stated before I click car features, the screen goes to the car features screen and then immediately back to the previous screen. The next issue I have is that a lot of times when putting the vehicle from Park to reverse to drive it goes mute as indicated on the screen. I cannot get it to unmute with any of the volume keys or anything unless I shut the head unit power off and restart it. Android auto connection is very inconsistent. Sometimes it automatically connects sometimes it doesn't and if it doesn't I have to once again cycle the power and restart the head unit. The last problem I have is that the Bluetooth audio when using as hands-free phone is terrible. I can hardly hear what the person on the other end of the line is saying to me and they can hardly hear what I'm saying to them. My wife's Sony audio visual head unit sounds amazing compared to this. All in all I'm very disappointed with this product especially considering how much I paid for it and thinking I was getting a top of the line product.
Pros: Looks and sounds great
Cons: Glitchy software causes some features to be almost useless.

I bought open box for the price and because of the shortage of selection of other brands and price ranges. At the time I made this purchase the only selections Crutchfield had (chip shortage) were the very cheap brands or the most expensive. I thought it was get a quality brand for a respectable price. I'm a couple months In and I now know why it was open box. When it works which is about 50% of the time it's everything I hoped for. But the other 50% the GPS accuracy is off ( it'll show my vehicle WAY off to the side off the road), the music will cut in and out, and connection to my hotspot/WiFi isn't always automatic. I probably would've returned to Crutchfield had this not been sporadic and there was zero to choose from in the same price range. I will probably end up using Pioneer warranty and hope for the best. Not what I thought I'd be doing after dropping $1200 on what I thought was a quality brand. Lesson learned about buying open box!
Pros: Nice big screen Updated look CarPlay/voice to text
Cons: GPS isn't always accurate Music cuts out sometimes Connectivity can take a couple minutes Buying open box can bite you in the butt.

Just purchased and installed. The only thing that works is the HD radio! No XM radio (not even on the display), to connect to phone takes a good 5 minutes every time you start and 80% of the apps just aren't there. You won't be able to register the unit if your car/truck manufacturer starts with a letter between S and Z. The only indication, from ALL the manuals and setup guides, is that you will also have to "accept " user agreement which doesn't give you that option. If you want to experience a 5 day nightmare then I strongly suggest buying this unit but be prepared to have spent this much on a radio. Unfortunately now I have to find a sucker to buy this off me and only hope I can reclaim half my money. On a good note, the Kicker Speakers I also purchased work fantastic with my new radio.

I wanted to replace an Android head unit I had for a few years to resolve a few issues. My WRX STI had the Harman Kardon factory audio that I initially thought I would use, so I configured the Maestro-RR to do that and it actually worked, however I did not like how bright the dash speakers were. I had previously installed a DSP and AMPs to power the factory speakers, so I ran new wires off the Pre-outs, but I had really bad alternator whine. All my grounds appeared to be solid, and so to fix it I put in two ground loop isolators and that removed the alternator whine. Overall I like this unit, I really missed not having HD Radio and I wanted to have Wireless CarPlay. I have one major annoyance and two minor ones, the cooling fan is very noticeable when the car is off and it constantly runs. The other one is Waze does not accept my finger input while in Wireless CarPlay mode, but works fine in wired mode. Can't figure out how to get the reverse camera assist lines to automatically appear.
Pros: Big bright and clear "HD" screen Wireless CarPlay HD Radio Excellent sound
Cons: Loud cooling fan Sluggish performance

It is the third Pioneer unit I've owned so I wasn't even really skeptical. Unit works great and sound is amazing as I've always experienced with Pioneer. This is a great upgrade for any vehicle. The screen is much larger than the stock unit I had in my Prius but it doesn't look out of place or too big. The Android auto is seamless and starts right up when I connect my phone. Compared to other OEM radios, I don't find this any slower to navigate and use like other reviewers stated and I have been using it for two weeks now. I highly recommend this unit and it is worth the extra $$ over other smaller screen units. Installation is easy and having a single DIN size, makes it very versatile. I am planning on getting another one for my Tacoma.
Pros: Large screen, great graphics, Android auto compatibility, OBD connectivity and GPS built in for navigating in google maps without a phone connected.
Cons: None yet.

I drive a 2017 Titan. I replaced my factory unit. This is a nice unit lots of features. Makes the factory speakers sound amazing. Very bright you can see very well. It's responsive to touch it dose everything you would need it to do. But the Android Auto keeps cutting and if you do something on your phone not through AA it will stop working. You literally have to turn your vehicle off or go on your phone and restart AA. It dose this with wired Android Auto also. I did the software update. Did not fix the problem. Hope they fix that part of it.Other than that great unit.

I purchased this to replace my previous head unit. It is much better since it has Android Auto wireless. I like the larger screen and having the map larger helps a lot. It does take a little time to initialize and connect to the android auto as well as the SW controls to connect.
Pros: Large Screen Android Auto easy hookup to Maestro
Cons: Slow start up

Great radio with big, bright and easy to read screen
Crutchfield customer from Littleton, CO on 10/15/2020
2007 Dodge Ram 2500
I purchased this radio to replace a failed 13 year old Kenwood double-din unit. It is remarkably better than the 13 year old technology it replaced. I have an Alpine Halo 9 in another car and I like this Pioneer unit better. What I like: - Big, easy to read screen. Text is crisp and sharp. - Wireless Car Play. Car play interface is bright and easy to read. - Lots of sound options to make my crappy stock speakers sound ok - Clean, not gaudy or distracting user interface - Somewhat customizable user interface. - Dual camera inputs. - HD Radio My only gripes are: - Occasional glitches, but no worse than any other aftermarket double-din I have used from either Kenwood or Alpine. - The menu options for wireless connections, bluetooth, wifi and wifi hotspot are confusing to say the least. - Sometimes the apple car play wireless connection is glitchy where the radio will give an error connecting. The only way to get it to connect is to restart the unit. This radio could use another firmware upgrade to fix the occasional glitches. This is my first Pioneer car radio. Hopefully Pioneer will keep updating it instead of abandoning it like my experience has been with both Kenwood and Alipine. All in all, I recommend this unit.

Overall a good unit
Jason from Ft Wayne, IN on 9/13/2020
2017 Toyota Highlander Hybrid
The USB-C connection on the back of the unit is a severely flawed design. The USB-C is a very thin connector and you are expected to plug the supplied straight connector into the back of the unit. As you insert your radio into the mounting position, there is nothing to support this weak connection point from breaking. As you push the unit in, you run out of clearance and there is a lot of stress placed on the connector. I've purchased two of these units (two vehicles) and after breaking the connector on the first installation, I was VERY careful during the install in the second vehicle and I STILL managed to break the weak USB-C connector. I did not contact Pioneer as I expected them to send me the same straight connector that can not handle the torque while installing the unit. I found some 90 degree cables that worked great, but sadly, I had to spend additional time and money to fix Pioneer's flawed design. Be sure to find a cable that supports OTG; More time and money to figure that out. Overall, the unit is ok. Screen is bright, adjustable screen positions is great, wireless carplay is convenient, iMaestro features work well, and stock speakers sound better now after playing with the sound options that are available. Would appreciate a faster response time. Updating the firmware through the iOS app was another exercise in patience; Absolutely terrible experience.
Pros: Screen, Wireless CarPlay, iMaestro
Cons: Flawed design in USB-C connection in the back of the unit.

Awesome headunit!! At first I thought I was going to have connection issues using wireless android auto so I routed the USB cable so I can use it plugged in not wireless and to my surprise I had a few connection issues so I went qoreless and I've yet to have an issue. Shouldve just went wiresless from the beginning. Anyways headunit is awesome 9 inch screen is beautiful overall very satisfied with my purchase. One thing to note is this is not my first stereo install but it is my first floating display install and it would be nice if the monitor and adjustment instructions were explained better.
Pros: Great wireless aundroid auto head unit. Beautiful large display and great sound quality upgrade with stock speakers.
Cons: Instructions could be better IF you've never installed this type of stereo.

The system is very good but not perfect. Sound quality is excellent, screen size is wonderful, touch screen with remote is useful. Wireless Apple CarPlay is a great feature but does drain your phone battery. It is definitely an upgrade from my original unit. The cons: button touch is responsive but touch screen is not very responsive when trying to slide the screen left or right. It's better when using CarPlay but not in its original home screen. In order to use Alexa, the system must be connected to WiFi, so if I'm home no problem, but while I drive I must turn on my wireless hotspot. In another car I have Alexa Auto and it uses Bluetooth and works very well. Since I have Siri it's similar enough for me not to care to use Alexa. Also Alexa won't play from Spotify while using this device, but Siri will. Both Alexa and CarPlay cannot be used together. Overall I'm happy with this unit, although it's not perfect it's still pretty great. I would recommend this unit, ambient light is a beautiful touch, sound quality is wonderful, Bluetooth phone calls is very useful since this car never had it. Wireless CarPlay is awesome, and having a large screen is like having a mini tablet in your car.

Brilliant display and great sound
Joel from Ashburn, VA on 8/5/2020
2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid
Brilliant display and great sound. Pre-outs only detected distortion at the highest volumes (level 40) at 1KHz. A frequency sweep on both channels showed minimal distortion across all frequencies at max volume. Lowering to even 35 was clean across all frequencies. UI was as expected and Android Auto works as well as other Android Auto setup. My only gripe would be that this screen is 720p, but the backup camera input is RCA. An option for an HD backup camera would future proof the device a little more.
Pros: Display Pre-outs
Cons: Backup camera input is limited to RCA

I'm glad I got this deck over the standard double din. The floating screen really modernizes the otherwise very basic and traditional interior of the 2015 Subaru WRX. Every advertised function is smooth and effortless making this top-of-the-line unit from Pioneer the one to seriously consider. With the appropriate harnesses, install was as easy and frustration free as any other head unit and Crutchfield made the process with install guides seamless.
Pros: HD resolution Sleek design Ease of install Wireless Apple CarPlay Quick Bluetooth Sync

Best floating screen
Crutchfield customer from PORTLAND, OR on 7/22/2020
In my search for a great floating screen head unit I've lived with the Halo 9 and tested the Stinger HEIGH10. DMH-WT7600NEX is a completely different animal. You actually get your monies worth. My only regret is that I didn't get the bigger one! My primary concern was excellent and correct CarPlay support. So many units have washed out, pixelated, or very laggy CarPlay. Since that is my everything (music, nav, text, phone, search) it needs to look and work correctly. This unit might be the best I've seen yet, within striking distance of high end OE CarPlay support -- even when wireless! I was about to give up, return to stock, and tape an iPad to my dash. Really glad I found this unit.
Pros: + Hardware is excellent. Clean, sleek, capacitive glass surface, 720p resolution, rich saturated accent LEDs. Should look great in any modern vehicle. + Software that actually makes use of the large screens with home screen widgets. CarPlay is perfect. + Connections - Everything you've come to expect. + Sounds good to me (with factory amplifier and speakers.) Not super picky. + Install is similar to other floating screens, but easiest in it's class.
Cons: - Software can be laggy at times, but all units are. No worse than any other I tested. - I want more widgets, hopefully in an update. - I wish 2nd camera had a 12v+ control, similar to reverse. - Alexa is a waste of space, but you don't have to use it. Siri works great. - Fans seem to always be running and in an electric car I can hear it at times.

Beautiful screen, hardware lacking. I want to love it so bad!
Mark from Aliso Viejo, CA on 7/22/2020
2015 Toyota Prius
I've had this head unit for about a month now and feel like I can finally write a short review on it. For the most part I love it, or want to love it, because my stock unit was so basic (but NEVER dropped audio). The screen on the WT7600NEX is gorgeous no doubt about it. Capacitive touch is superb. Apple CarPlay works well for the most part. Pros: screen is beautiful and responsive in CarPlay Screen CarPlay Dual camera inputs Boot time is quick, reverse camera is almost instant HD radio is nice (but I won't use it) Wired CarPlay works fantastic Did I mention the screen? 720p is amazing! Cons: Wireless CarPlay is terrible. Audio cuts out on almost every drive even if my music is downloaded to my phone and phone is always close to the Pioneer. If I even look at my phone the audio will cut out. My iPhone is an 11 Pro and I've tested it with my wife's, same issues. Siri audio quality is very poor, except during navigation. Call quality is also very poor. Pioneer interface is very laggy. Can these issues be fixed in a firmware update? I really hope so, I want to love this unit but it needs some serious work.
Pros: Screen resolution CarPlay is fluid Front and rear camera inputs HD radio
Cons: Wireless CarPlay is terrible Call quality is terrible Siri is terrible except when navigating Pioneer UI is very slow

Sweet Screen and Buttery Smooth UI

2013 Toyota Camry Hybrid
Car: 2013 Toyota Camry Hybrid XLE without JBL speakers If you are one of the 1.5 million people who bought this generation Camry, chances are the car is still running beautifully. You love being able to get from point A to point B on a daily basis without a hiccup. Despite that awesome reliability, you absolutely hate your OEM stereo because occasionally the Bluetooth refuses to connect, the navigation maps is woefully out of date, or the Entune suite of apps is useless. You see all of the new cars out there with Carplay or Android Auto and you secretly dream of those stereos but do not want to fork over tens of thousands for a new car -especially since yours runs smooth as butter. Up to this point, I have been waiting for a wireless Carplay and Android Auto option with a decent screen. I really cannot digest the idea of paying 1K for a WVGA screen when 4K tablets are readily available everywhere. Enter the Pioneer DMH-WT7600NEX. 9" 720P capacitive touchscreen with wireless Carplay and Android Auto. Hell yes please. Considering this was my first install ever, it was not too bad. Using the instructions from Crutchfield and Pioneer, things went smoothly. After two weeks of use, I have only noticed two problems: 1) the system reset itself randomly once, 2) the streaming music will occasionally skip (like old CDs) when wireless Carplay is connected, 3) the microphone is only so-so during phone calls or with use of voice-to-text resulting in frequent errors. I have no regre
Pros: Buttery smooth UI without any lag. Beautiful and bright screen visible even in direct sunlight. Fast boot up time (think less than 5 seconds). Fast automatic connection to wireless Carplay or Android Auto (less than 10 seconds). Keeps steering wheel buttons, original back up camera, and brings in advanced car info (like individual tire pressures) with use of separate Maestro RR module.
Cons: Occasional skipping of music when connected to wireless Carplay. Microphone and GPS antenna is worse than factory mic+antenna even when mounted properly. Some settings for the unit is buried within tons of menus.

The unit has raised the bar for my expectations in an aftermarket radio and I think i will keep this unit for the life of my vehicle.
Pros: -Wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto -Amazon Alexa -Internet browser (Need hotspot) -HD Radio -High-Resolution screen means Hie resolution video playback

Awesome unit! I installed it a 2016 Highlander and is a night and day compared to the stock unit. The software is fluid and I do not notice any lag between screens, sources, or apps. It's on the higher price end but is definitely worth it. For self installation, I wish the unit and the integration hardware had a little bit more clear directions but I got it in, working, and all the steering wheel controls and usb work. Wireless CarPlay is awesome to have, the only downside is that it will drain the phone battery faster due to the Bluetooth and data use but is easily solved by plugging it in to the usb or charger.

Large screen and good for those with 1 din only
Nicolas from Los Angeles, CA on 6/6/2020
2002 Dodge Intrepid
First of all, it fits a 2002 Dodge Intrepid. But you ll need to improvise. I use an extra 1 din chassis to secure the headunit, and fastened the unit to the chassis. Make sure also that all your cable are secure and with working connection (in my case, reverse signal), otherwise, you ll loose your head. Now, this is a wonderfully unit. Screen is clear and large. Very comfortable, as you don't have to look to long on it (safety while driving) Touch screen is responsive, take a little bit to navigate in the menu at first, but after a bit, it s getting intuitive. The 4 volt RCA are awesome. My sound is much better (feeding a GM DX975, ts z65ch upfront, and ts d69c in the rear). Coming from a Pioneer with 2 volts, I had to redo my amplifier tuning, but, a very big gain in quality. Still working on the overall sound tuning. So far a great unit, very happy with this purchase. Crutchfield is super fast for the shipping. I choose them after a bad encounter with a concurrent, where the radio was preorder since March, and they were not able to deliver in the end, with poor communication. Now, I ll only trust Crutchfield, thank you.
Pros: Large screen, very bright, good sound quality, Android auto, lots of extras
Cons: Big load of cable to fit in tight space.
