About the Pioneer TS-A3000LS4

A shallow-mount sub that rocks
A shallow-mount sub that rocks
Pioneer's TS Series shallow-mount subs bring great bass to vehicles where conventional subs won't fit. Their low profile allows the use of slender enclosures that'll fit behind a truck seat or in any tight space while delivering the bass performance you need. The TS-A3000LS4 12" shallow-mount sub handles up to 400 watts with a mounting depth of just 3-1/2".
The TS-A3000LS4 features an oversized, injected polypropylene cone that moves more air and delivers accurate bass. The sub works best in a small sealed enclosure, making it ideal for fitting those tight spaces in today's smaller vehicles.

Features
Woofer Cone: Pioneer uses a glass fiber and mica reinforced injection molded polypropylene (IMPP) cone, making it more rigid than polypropylene alone.
Shallow Mount Woofer: Pioneer's "Shallow-Mount" subwoofers are designed to provide wider installation options for a broad range of vehicles. They can be mounted behind or under the seats of many vehicles.
Terminals: The spring post terminals will accept pin connectors, single banana plugs, or bare wire up to 8 gauge.
Sealed Box Volume: Pioneer recommends a sealed enclosure with an internal volume between 0.5 ft³ and 1.0 ft³, with an ideal volume of 0.8 ft³. Sealed enclosures provide the most control over the woofer, will handle a lot of power, and provide accurate sonic reproduction, making them suitable to all types of music.
Ported Box Volume: The recommended ported box volume ranges from 0.65 ft³ to 1.0 ft³, with the ideal size being 0.8 ft³, using a single 3" diameter x 5⅞" long port. Ported (or vented) enclosures typically provide better overall efficiency than sealed, maximizing bass output for a given amplifier.
Free-Air: The woofer can also be mounted in free air to a baffle board (infinite baffle, no enclosure). When mounted in free air, the power handling is reduced by 75% (to 100 watts RMS).
Measurements: When mounting the woofer without the trim ring, the dimensions change as follows:
- Mounting Height: 0.733"
- Flange Height: 0.18"
- Frame Diameter: 12.235"

There are hardly any reviews for this subwoofer, but I bought 2 of them for my extended cab truck and WOW they sound amazing. I would highly recommend these subs!
