Steve from Jennings, LA on 3/26/2023
These speakers replaced my old worn out speakers that were at least 15 years old. They sounded great until my 3 month old stereo quit working. Now I have to wait at least 2 months to get my stereo repaired, so I can here my favorite music once again.
Pros: Super easy install.
Cons: None.

Serious Audio Output
Michael T from EAGLE POINT, OR on 3/22/2022
These replaced factory Buick Monsoon 6x9 rear components. The original rear speakers have a 2 Ohm 6x9" and a 4" 4 Ohm tweeter wired in parallel (3 Omh load) @30w RMS. These 6x9's are being powered by an Alpine PDR-V75 (certified at 91w/channel RMS 4 Ohm) so they are not quite being driven to their full potential. To dial in a new system I use Bass Mekanik, Bass 305, Rammstein, Enya, EDM and older Rock and Roll tracks. The factory speakers seemed to carry low frequencies better than these. What I think is actually happening is that the Pioneers carry the low frequencies to a louder volume than the factory speakers but beyond a certain point the 6x9 woofer can't produce enough low frequency SPL to keep up the the 4-way mid-high output. Perhaps with the extra 30w RMS they are rated for they might pull up the bottom end better, I cannot say for sure. Yes these 6x9's can produce good bass with a fairly flat response all the way down into the low 20 Hz range, which is impressive. But again the 4-way portion of the speaker can literally make that impressive bass seem to vanish. The 4-way portion on these is fantastic. The vocals can get extremely loud without distortion. The tweeters are absolutely phenomenal and truly NAIL the high-hats, salt shakers, and the -T-T-T-T- in rap and EDM with authority while not being fatiguing to the ears, and turned out to be a perfect match to the Polk Audio DB 5252 component tweeters I ended up putting in the fro
Pros: Seriously low frequency response (verified). Tweeters for DAYS. Massive vocals.
Cons: The 4-way is so awesome that even the substantial bass output of the 6x9 woofer may seem to disappear (is this a con)? Needed a 400w subwoofer to truly even out the system (again, not really a con).

2008 Saturn Aura
bought these to replace the factory speakers, which still worked but didn't sound very good. These Pioneers sound so much better, even with the stock radio/CD player, which I may upgrade in the future. The install in my Saturn took some extra work, but thanks to the included instructions, I handled it with ease.
Pros: sound so much better than stock speakers
Cons: none

Only 6x9's I've ever not blown tweeters. Kenwood- blown. R fosgate, alpine ,jvc, you name it. I've blown tweeters in EVERY other 6x9
Pros: Great full range with plenty of highs
Cons: Lower bass response. That's what subs are for

Great sound from bass to high range.

Great sound. Well built. Put these in an old muscle car where rear speakers are the only option. I did put a 350 watt amp behind them. But the sound range is awesome & handles the power great without breaking down at all. Great bass with good mid & upper range clarity. Fit my car perfect!

Better than a JL 6w3v3!
Nate from Hampton, NH on 2/1/2019
I have these on my rear deck with dynamat and didn't realize the trunk would act like a box making these overpower my center console JL 6w3v3! Hindsight right.
Pros: Makes a sub unnecessary when you put 240w RMS to them with dynamat.
Cons: Makes you wish you didnt buy a sub first.
