About the Pioneer TS-D12D2

Built tough for solid bass
Built tough for solid bass
Great bass is all about power, and Pioneer created their D-Series subs with that thought in mind. They built the TS-D12D2 12" subwoofer to handle up to 600 watts RMS, while it dishes out impressive low-frequency punch. This sub features an injection-molded polypropylene cone that's impregnated with Aramid fibers for exceptional precision and strength. A butyl rubber surround supports the woofer during cone excursion so you'll get accurate, hard-hitting bass notes even when the music's turned up loud. The sub's dual 2-ohm voice coils give you more wiring options when setting up your system.
Add some boom to your daily drive
If your vehicle's audio system is sounding a little thin, this potent Pioneer sub can remedy that situation, bringing out all the punch and power in your music by filling in the lowest frequencies of the sound spectrum. Throw one or two of these subs in your daily ride, power them up with a nice amp, and you'll understand what the fuss is all about — whatever you listen to, great bass will make it sound much, much better.

Features
Woofer Cone: Pioneer uses aramid fiber interlaced injection molded polypropylene (IMPP) for the cone, making it more rigid than polypropylene alone.
Dual 2Ω Voice Coils: This woofer features two 2Ω voice coils, offering wiring flexibility. When the voice coils are wired in parallel, the woofer presents a 1Ω load; when wired in series, the woofer presents a 4Ω load.
Terminals: The spring post terminals will accept pin connectors, single banana plugs, or bare wire up to 10 gauge.
Sealed Box Volume: The sealed box sizes recommended by Pioneer range from 0.8 ft³ to 1.2 ft³; within this range the ideal size is 1.0 ft³.
Vented Box Volume: The vented box sizes recommended by Pioneer range from 0.8ft³ to 1.2 ft³; within this range the ideal size is 1.0 ft³ with a single 3" diameter x 6" long port.
Double-stacked Magnet: The woofer uses double-stacked magnets to create a powerful magnetic force. This increases the control exerted over the voice coil.
Free-Air: The woofer can also be mounted in free air to a baffle board (infinite baffle, no enclosure). When mounted in free air, the power handling is reduced by 75% (to 150 watts).
Measurements: When mounting the woofer without the trim ring, the dimensions change as follows:
- Mounting Height: 0.564"
- Flange Height: 0.165"
- Frame Diameter: 12.26"
