About the Pioneer TS-W384C
Make sure the nuts and bolts on your vehicle are tightened before you crank up the TS-W384C from Pioneer. Otherwise, this 15" monster will shake them loose in no time flat!
The diamondplate foamed IMPP woofer cone is lightweight and rigid for excellent response and booming bass. The Voice Coil Cooling System works to dissipate heat and limit distortion, while a dual layer urethane surround will stand up to road and weather extremes. 1-year warranty.

Product Research
Woofer: The TS-W384C has a Foamed IMPP (Injection Molded Polypropylene) Rigilite composite cone woofer. This process of cone molding assures a uniform cone thickness for superior linearity and clarity. The cone is lightweight and rigid for low distortion and superior bass response.
Dual-Layer Urethane Surround: The dual-layer urethane surround has very high internal loss, which reduces speaker cone distortion.
Voice Coil Cooling System: The Voice Coil Cooling System reduces voice coil heat, allowing for stable bass reproduction and reinforced power handling capability.
Long Voice Coil Design: The long voice coil design allows expanded piston motion for better linearity and improved power handling.
Extended Pole Yoke: The extended pole yoke extends the magnetic field, greatly improving linearity during large woofer excursions at high input levels.
Vented Pole Yoke: The vented pole yoke allows air circulation in the magnetic circuitry to ensure better heat dissipation.
Enclosure Compatibility: This woofer can provide extended bass in sealed, vented and bandpass enclosures (see the "Specifications" section for more information on enclosures).
Recommended Sealed Box Volume: The sealed box sizes recommended by Pioneer range from 1.8 cu/ft to 2.2 cu/ft. Within this range, the ideal size recommended by Pioneer is 2.0 cu/ft, so this is the enclosure recommended by Crutchfield.
Vented Box Volume: The vented box sizes recommended by Pioneer range from 1.98 cu/ft to 2.42 cu/ft. Within this range, the ideal size recommended by Pioneer is 2.2 cu/ft, so this is the enclosure recommended by Crutchfield. One 4" diameter x 8" long port should be used with a 2.2 cu/ft enclosure.
Single Reflex Bandpass Volume: The bandpass box sizes recommended by Pioneer range from 2.385 cu/ft to 2.915 cu/ft. Within this range, the ideal size recommended by Pioneer is 2.65 cu/ft, so this is the enclosure recommended by Crutchfield. The 2.65 cu/ft enclosure should have a sealed chamber volume of 1.5 cu/ft and a vented chamber volume of 1.15 cu/ft. One 4" diameter x 5" long port should be used with a 2.65 cu/ft enclosure.
