Amazing sound

This set of speakers has great highs and lows. The tweeters might be a tad loud but that may also be because of my oem placement in my 19 fiesta. You'll still need a subwoofer but they'll hit good all the way to your crossover frequency.

REplaced factory speakers in honda crv, and so these are so much better. Even my wife noticed for the first time hearing sound out of the tweeter. Need an amp to drive the woofer and great bass. Very pleased with this purchase. Sound overall is very good for my preference.

OMG!!!
Jordan from Temple Tx on 8/13/2022

I will try my best to lay aside any biased opinions, or preconceived notions I may have had prior or after my purchase. And give my honest opinion. These speakers are beyond words and comprehension, without hearing them for yourself. ( Now this is where ideally people rolled their eyes and skip the review, however keep reading on I implore you. ) I want you to picture that you are in heaven, (Oh lord here he goes) now imagine you are hearing a choir of angel's singing. Yup that is exactly it. The voice of the angels!!! WAIT HOLD UP, let's back the food truck up here now, absolutely nothing, could match or beat a live concert of angel's singing, however this is as close as your going to get. I'm buying a second set for the rear doors for a custom installation. And I might even install a third set in the rear deck if I cannot find a 6x9 to match it with. I even find myself taking extra long trips even with gas prices nearing 5$ a gallon just to be immersed in the imaging these put out. No I'm not blowing smoke, yes, yes they are THAT GOOD. Home run pioneer, home freaking run. (Starting a slow clap, that continues to increase in tempo) I do however want to take the time to say thank you to crutchfield for putting up with my annoying questions. And for having the answers to them or finding the answers in a expedient fashion. Thank you so much. Your awesome!!!
Pros: 96khz speakers do I need to say more? Ok here it is, the clarity, the bass, the mids, the highs, from these 6 1/2 inch size speakers, oh my, this is just UNREAL!!! I hate saying this because it's just so cliché but, IT BLEW MY FREAKING MIND. Now I literally listen to acoustic country, country, rock, rap, A cappella, Orchestras, show tunes and even elevator music. Basically everything except my own voice. Well sometimes even that. My singing makes my dog cringe. These do it all!!!!!!!!!
Cons: Now for the negative. You cannot get the right sound from these speakers (in my own opinion) without the correct amplifier. It's a must. The pioneer and Sony 100 watt rms 4 channel amplifier are the perfect combination for these speakers. However without the correct amplifier it's just another speaker. Get them both it's well worth it.

Good Audiophile Speakers
Rudy from Clearwater, FL on 3/5/2022

I have a pair of these as front speakers in my 2020 Wrangler with the matching TS-Z65F in my sound bar and the TS-Z10LS4 subwoofer. They are powered by a Kenwood Excelon XR600-6DSP amplifier. The sound is spot on for my taste which is clear with faithful reproduction of the audio. The setup was a little hard to dial in using the DSP in the amp, but not sure if it was the speakers, the amp, or just me. I find I needed to subdue the highs a bit as they tended to grate on my ears, but I am sensitive in the 3,400 range and this is in a 2 door Jeep with a soft top....so there's that. Overall, a great speaker combination. After several months, one tweeter blew out. 1 easy call to Crutchfield and 3 days later I had my replacement. No hassle. No Issues. Just purely amazing customer service!
Pros: Clear reproduction Good mounting hardware included
Cons: May be difficult to dial in

Great tweeters!

Choose this line of components from Pioneer for the tweeters. A relatively low crossover point of 2khz and good power handling really helps bring up the soundstage! Woofers are great too, but nothing extraordinary.

I have 100w rms of power running these speakers. They sound really good. This is my first component speaker system that I wasn't able to adjust the tweeter level but I was in shock on how great they sound. I wish I would've made this purchase along time ago.
Pros: Sound amazing.
Cons: For 100w rms speakers I feel the speakers wires should be a thicker guage.

Clear highs , but well balanced.
Pros: Really like the back strap mount that comes with the tweeter. Makes dash mounting very easy.
Cons: The clips that come on the crossover and speakers are not long enough if the tweeter and the woofer are not mounted close together.

Tweeters stopped working, bass still sounds great though
Pearce from Hampstead MD on 9/19/2020

Tweeters stopped working all together but I still like the subwoofers so I'll split them up into two categories. Door speakers: Easy to install and went right in where my other speakers were. Decent amount of bass for what they are and definitely provide a good sound. They're not the best sounding things in the world but definitely good. Tweeters: I think this has more to do with my car but I had to stuff tissues into the hole in my dash where the tweeters are held in to get them to stay, this really isn't a big deal and I could care less about that. Sound quality while they were working was great, they were loud and frankly awesome. Unfortunately, they STOPPED WORKING entirely one day (I've taken all of the steps to ensure it's not a problem with anything else, it's definitely the tweeters). I've had them for about 3 months or so and to see them stop working already is disheartening. Overall this is a decent kit and a huge upgrade from the stock speakers, but the reliability of the tweeters are definitely lackluster in my case. It's possible it's user error, but it's still a shame. Sound quality is fantastic from them but will definitely be going with a different brand for replacement tweeters.
Pros: Good sound in general
Cons: Tweeters stopped working only months after purchase

I've always heard the name pioneer and I have always been curious to how good they really are. And no doubt about it, they held up to my standards and in fact surpassed them. They sound amazing and make my music very clear. Combined with the amazing customer service from Crutchfield, it's almost like they're ere made for each other!
Pros: Very loud Fit perfect first try Quick connects, no soldering required
Cons: A little pricey, but very high end

These speakers leave something to be desired if you're a bass head imo, which isn't a let down considering their size/class/price/etc. I put these in my daily to compare to some components I had from Infinity I think? Those were on 75 watts each; these are on 100 each. Not significantly louder, but significantly less distortion. Sounds quality is good, I always wonder what the multi thousand-dollar component sounds like. My installer was blown away by these and absolutely loved the mids in the car.
Pros: Great staging, lots of treble
Cons: Overpowering highs if not tuned.

Excellence is worth the money.

Okay these speakers are excellent. I replace Infinity kappas, and these are much better. Better detail at low volume. I listen to a lot of jazz. OPEN & SMOOTH thanks to Pioneers technology and Crutchfield's ability to sell me some excellent speakers.
Pros: Open and smooth with great detail, the aluminum tweeters are excellent ,
Cons: Speaker Basket was a little bigger than kappas that I replaced. I had to modify my car door. 1969 impala fastback . Well worth it.
