Exceptional

Overall, this turntable is one of the best in the business. The engineering quality is superb. I purchased the SP-15 mounted on a professional base a few decades ago, and in comparison, the over performance is considerably better. I would prefer to give this a 4-1/2 stars, but I'm unable to. The only drawback that I have found is in the footing adjustments. They're cheap, and easily break. My recommendation is to use shims, rather than risk moving the base mounts. I have to admit that this is a minor failure in an otherwise exceptional piece of equipment. You won't be disappointed with this purchase.

Pros: Overall performance is excellent.

Cons: Foot/leveling adjustments are cheap.

So far so good!! I wanted a second turntable. I decided on a GR-2 because I already own the GR and enjoy that table so much! Love the updated look! Can't go wrong with a Technics!!

Pros: Sounds great!

Cons:

Don't hesitate, don't worry, this is a no-brainer. Quiet as a church mouse and bold as burglar. This thing is built like a tank but light on its feet. Any good MM cartridge and you are ready to be blown away! Folks, you don't need to spend $5k to be in the sonic stratosphere. Spend half as much and bank the rest. Crutchfield has my business in the future too. ( Anthem Integrated, B&W 803n, KEF ls50 meta, AT vm540ml cart)

Pros: Glad I could buy one.

Cons: Not any I can think of.
