The one for me!
Collet from Bronx, NY on 6/20/2025
Great sound, even with the ambient sound to the max! I could care less about noise cancellation, I need to be able to fully hear my music how I like it and also know what is going on around me and the EAH-AZ100 NAILS IT!

Great Sound, Clear Bass, Good ANC
Daniel from Douglasville, GA on 6/20/2025
Pros: Amazing sound quality, excellent sound stage. I'm a bass player, and I love listening down to the bass in music. These earbuds allow the bass to speak in every song, without sounding boomy or muddy. Overall, the audio is extremely crisp. Sometimes, it feels like i'm in the recording room. The ANC is also pretty good. I'm not a stickler, but the ANC cancels enough noise to block out loud noises and lets me listen around 30% volume consistently. It's enough for me, but if you care about the best ANC, look elsewhere. Build quality is solid, both the earbuds and the case. Mic quality is great, pass-through also works quite well. Battery life very solid. Multipoint connection is stable I find the app very usable as well. Cons: Tap controls feel a little finicky. One tap and double tap are consistent, but 3 and 4 don't always respond the way I expect them to. The silicone eartips feel quite firm and may be uncomfortable for some people. I got some memory foam replacements. I wish the case had a pair button, instead you have to tap and hold on the earbuds for 5 seconds. Overall, i'm happy with these earbuds. I like then better than the Sony equivalent. If you want top tier sound quality, these are for you.

Solid upgrade to the 80s
Adam from Sparks, MD on 6/17/2025
I got these as an update to the AZ80s which I've had for over a year, not sure if they would be a worthwhile upgrade. They are better in every respect. - Slightly smaller but better shaped, they fit more snugly in your ear and don't stick out as much. Still, these are somewhat large buds. - Case is almost the same size but feels much smaller in hand and pocket thanks to a more curved design. Also feels more robust than the 80's case which was a bit squeaky. Buds fit in it nice and secure. - Buds start up and connect much faster than the 80s - about as quick as my Airpods - Sound quality is great, as everyone says. More bass than the 80s, I actually turned it down a little bit. But is well defined and not at all boomy. Midrange and treble excellent and natural sounding, no harshness. - ANC is also improved over the 80s, is about as good as any earbuds I've had. - Touch controls maybe slightly better at recognizing touches (especially multi-taps), but can still miss taps - Haven't used these much for calls so can't comment there. - Technics app is one of the best I've found, even better than the old Jabra app in terms of the amount of customization, and it's fast and easy to use.

Don't believe the hype
Christopher from Fort Wayne, IN on 5/27/2025
The sound was ok. Honestly, I AirPod pros sound just as good and I'm not the biggest fan of Apple. But the real killer was the noise cancellation. It is just sub par and I've tried all their ear tips, but I'm Stitt of shoving these things into my brain to block out noise. Again , Apple is WAY better. The bottom line is I'm not impressed and would petition to get my money back if possible, but I think I've gone past the point of return. I believed the hype and I got burned. Ah well, but I'll never be buying another Technics product again.
Pros: Small
Cons: Bad fit, ok sound, extremely disappointing sound cancellation.

Some of my best earbuds so far
Dmitri from Clifton Park, NY on 4/8/2025
Sound quality is excellent. Call quality (noise cancellation) is also excellent (even while moving at 16-17 mph on a bicycle). Now, noise cancellation during music playback (esp. on a bicycle) is a different matter altogther: you have to play with the noise cancelling options/settings to sort this out. That nagging "white noise" issue. The app has a lot of features, almost too many :) Tip size fitting tool is a little suspect. It "selected" size S for me, while size "M" fits fine (typically that's been my choice with any previous earbuds) and gives me the best sound quality/noise cancellation. Tap controls are not responsive if you are wearing a hat over your ears (no matter how thin) or gloves without e-tips. No big deal since most of us don't bike when your ears are about to freeze off.
Pros: Music playback sound quality Phone call quality and noise cancelling
Cons: Nothing that would stop me from recommending them to friends and family

What an upgrade!
Kourtney from San Francisco, CA on 3/17/2025
These are the best ear buds I have ever used from a sound quality standpoint. In addition, when using it for my work (either moving in a noisy environment or stationary) it has exceptional voice quality according to my colleagues. I will say that the buds themselves are a bit large, and so I knock off 1/2 a star for fit for those with smaller ears, even with the multiple insert sizes.

Technics EAH-AZ100
Jake from Bridgeport, CT on 1/26/2025
The sound quality has proven to be a revelation among earbuds. Truly High Fidelity, balanced sound, expressing all instruments and recording layers in accurate true tone with a warm overall signature. Most impressive is how great it sounds across genres, analog as electric instruments. and recordings. it just plain delivers accurately. B&W Pi8 by direct comparison is not in the same league: not nearly as accurate and detailed (and shockingly bass dominant which you can never fix completely by EQ, but with impressive and pleasing amp / loudness) AirPods Pro2 also direct comparo while incredible all-rounders is good but minor league in sound quality accuracy compared to the others.

Great earbuds but not for me.
Prescilla from Freeport, IL on 1/26/2025
This would have been a real good upgrade. I would have kept if they didn't lose the sound signature of the Technics EAH-AZ80. The longer I used it, I've heard an over-powering bass and it even enveloped the vocals, as well. They lost the real crispness and tanginess on the sound of it especially on the vocals side. It could be due to a wider soundstage that it sounded like in the cave or kind of the hall. The natural sound of it was just kind of gone. The bass was really good! Flawless! If bass is your thing, then this is for you! So far, the battery is very good, as well! The touch sensitivity of it when I switch to a different track or change the volume is really excellent than the AZ80. Very responsive! The fit has improved, as well. The earbuds are more stable to my ears than the AZ80. I would just wait for the next upgrade, the AZ120. I might find what I've been looking for the earbuds as a real upgrade.
