Overview: The Technics EAH-AZ100 Reference Class true-wireless ear buds let you enjoy excellent sound quality while showing your style. The ear buds and charging case feature a beautiful brushed aluminum finish with engraved Technics logos for an elegant look. They offer Adaptive Noise Cancelling technology that adjusts in real time to block ambient noise while you immerse yourself in your music. The ear buds are IPX4 water-resistant, and can withstand heavy rain or a vigorous workout. The ear buds are designed to fit comfortably in the concha groove of the outer ear. Five pairs of ear tips are included to help you find the best fit. The AZ100s can be stored in the included case where the batteries can be immediately recharged.

Drivers: The AZ100s are equipped with 10mm Magnetic Fluid Drivers with a wide frequency response and low distortion. The drivers were developed from the reference class EAH-TZ700 wired in-ear monitors. The ultra-thin free edge drive structure and aluminum diaphragm help produce natural and realistic audio. The ear buds support high-res wireless audio (with LDAC).

Ear Tips: Because differences in ear shape vary from person-to-person, the AZ100s come with five pairs of ear tips to help you find the pair that fits best and gives you the best acoustic isolation from the outside world. Available sizes include Extra Small (XS), Small (S), Medium (M), Large (L), and Extra Large (XL). The better the seal in the ear canal, the better the frequency response (especially bass) and passive noise reduction.

Bluetooth 5.3: The ear buds feature Bluetooth 5.3 for better stability, security, and efficiency than older versions. They support the typical codecs (SBC and AAC), plus LDAC for high-res wireless audio. LDAC enables wireless audio in 96kHz/24-bit and bit rates of up to 990 kbps when connected with compatible devices. Multipoint capability lets you simultaneously pair with up to three devices (i.e. phone, tablet, and laptop) and seamlessly switch between them.

Spatial Audio/Dolby Atmos®: The Technics AZ100 ear buds let you experience natural, lifelike sound that moves with your with Dolby Head Tracking™. As you turn your head, the audio recalibrates to keep you in the middle of the sound stage. You can enjoy Spatial Audio with much of your mobile content, including that with Dolby Atmos®.

Voice Assistants: You can activate your preferred voice assistant on your smartphone. You can select your desired voice assistant in the Technics Audio Connect app.

Technics Audio Connect App: The Technics Audio Connect app (for iOS 15.0+ and Android 9.0+) helps with setup, pairing, and use of the AZ100 ear buds. In the app, you can check the battery status of each ear bud individually and the charging case at a glance. The app lets you customize the sound quality to your personal taste or mood using the built-in 5-band equalizer or preset curves. The Adaptive Noise Cancelling and Ambient Sound modes can be adjusted in 100 steps with a finger wheel on the app. The JustMyVoice feature can also be fine-tuned in the app. If you lose one or both ear buds, you can use the app to locate on a map the last location where the headphones were paired. If they are within range, you can have them emit a sound. The touch controls can be customized in the app, especially if you frequently listen with only one ear bud. When firmware updates become available, you will be notified through the app, download the update, and transmit it wirelessly to the ear buds.

Touch Controls: The AZ100 ear buds have touch sensors on the flat portion of the outer body that let you control your music and phone calls with taps and hold gestures. Music playback controls include playback/pause, next track, previous track, and volume up and down. Phone call controls include answer call, mute/unmute your voice, reject call, and end call. You can also select Noise Cancelling, External Sound Control, and activate your voice assistant. You can switch to using only one ear bud after connecting to Bluetooth, returning the other ear bud to the charging case. Because specific operations are assigned to each ear bud, only the operations available to the chosen ear bud will be possible.

Wear Sensors: Wear Sensors in the ear buds automatically pause the music when you remove an ear bud from your ear. When you reinsert the ear bud, the music automatically resumes playback.

Adaptive Noise Cancelling: The EAH-AZ100s feature Full Adaptive Noise Cancelling to help you enjoy your listening experience without distraction from the noise around you. The Adaptive, or Auto Optimizing, Noise Cancelling can be turned on or off in the Technics Audio Connect app. When turned on, the ear buds continuously adjust to your ears and the surrounding environment, ensuring that the noise cancelling is at its most effective level. If Adaptive NC turned off, you can manually adjust the level of external noise in the app on a scale of 0 to 100. The Ambient Sound (or Attention) mode, if turned on, can be adjusted in the app as well. The ear buds use a feed-forward microphone and a digital software filter to suppress noise from the outside. At the same time, a feedback mic and analog hardware filter cuts out noise from inside the earbud. This allows the noise-cancelling levels to be adjusted based on the changing environment.

JustMyVoice: Technics' JustMyVoice technology uses unique signal processing for clear, natural phone conversations. Each ear bud is equipped with four microphones (eight total) to pick up your voice and ambient noise. Voice detection mics pick up your voice when speaking, while two MEMS mics actively isolates your voice and reduce the surrounding noise with beamforming technology. Your voice is clear and natural, whether you're in a crowded room or outside on a windy day.

Battery: The EAH-AZ100 ear buds are equipped with 3.7-volt, 85 mAh Lithium polymer rechargeable batteries, and the charging case with a 3.7-volt 550 mAh battery. The ear buds charge when they are placed inside of the charging case. The charging case can be charged via USB with the included USB-C cable (5V / 500mA minimum). You can also charge the case wirelessly by placing the case on a Qi-compatible wireless charging pad (sold separately). Battery life and charging specs can be found below.
