Technics SU-G700M2 Grand Class
Donald from Carriere, MS on 7/14/2023
Looks and sounds awesome. Everything works as it should. Has bass, treble and mid range controls that work great. The only downside in this unit is it doesn't have enough bass to drive the 15 in woofers on my klipsch Cornwall IV to the level of my old gear. The bass is strong and on some music will drive the Cornwallis bass pretty good just not to the level I'm used to.

Shutdowns using dimmer function
KEVIN from CHAPEL HILL, NC on 3/25/2023
Used dimmer function on meters. F76 error code resulted. Shut off loop persisted. Could fool it by turning amp on and quickly holding down dimmer function on the remote until it wasn't dimmed at all, then it played. Shouldn't have to do that. Shouldn't have to be without a dimming function. Returned to Crutchfield no problem other than a pain to disconnect and send off in mail. Reset up another one that was back ordered.. In system now.. working, no shut offs, no error codes.. probably because I haven't used the dimmer function. Technics should do a recall. Sad, they should have caught this problem before releasing this unit. Good luck future buyers.

If I could rate this 0 stars I would. When the amp worked for the first hour hour of use it sounded wonderful. It looks and sounds good when it works but this F76 problem has been a nightmare. The error comes up using the dimmer, listening to multiple headphones, and multiple speakers whose resistance are well with in tolerance. I purchased this amp, got the dreaded F76, got a replacement, bought new speakers, tried different headphones, but still get the error. Went passed the Crutchfield return time, was given a Panasonic number to call where no customer service rep can help with the product. I was given a US Technics website to submit a ticket through. Waiting now. Ill be back to edit my review if things change for the better.

This AMP is my happy place, and it replaced a long-loved tube amp. I did not think I could love a solid-state AMP this much, but I do. Not had any shutting-off problems, feel sorry for those that did have a working version and wish you had gotten one. But this AMP changed my mind on Solid state, I love the detail.
Pros: AMAZING sound, the sound floor is zero, and that alone is amazing. rich detail no color.
Cons: It cost but was so worth it.

I love this amp :) Sounds amazing connected to my JBL L82 speakers. Plays well with my vintage Technics 1200mk2 turntable. So good!
Pros: Sounds Amazing, VU Meters Look Great, Matches Perfectly with Vintage 1200mk2
Cons: Never in stock lol Wish VU meters were a little more warmer in color

Just got this amplifier less than 3 weeks ago, love the sound, looks and how awesome my turn table sounded with it but... it's going back. Keeps shutting off giving an error code of F76. Crutchfield has been awesome about it but I'm sending it back really wish it would've worked right. Beautiful amp but that doesn't matter if it won't stay on and for the price it should work perfectly.
Pros: Good looking great sound plays way harder that 70 watts. If you get one that works you'll love it.
Cons: Shutting off after about 20, Technics customer support was non existent.

Technics SU-G700M2 Grand Class

Did not live up to the hype. Perhaps my expectations were too high given the glowing reviews online. Very pretty AMP limited connectivity and features. Phono stage okay. Sound is very clear but I found it lacking some meat. Experienced random audio drops through coax input that I don't normally get with other gear. It did sound pretty good connected to Cambridge CXNV2 via optical input. Probably would have kept it if it were priced around 2k.
Pros: Sounds good with Cambridge CXNV2.
Cons: Limited connectivity and features. Random audio drops via coax input.

Loved the sound -- airy and clear. Unfortunately, it kept shutting off randomly (the first shutoff came after I dimmed the display through the remote). It also had a loose/broken volume knob. I got a replacement, and it, too suffered from the same shutoff problems. It had plenty of airspace around it, and the volume was kept low. After talking with tech support, I swapped speakers, speaker cables, and interconnects and still I could keep it powered up and playing music no longer than an hour. The remote also became inoperable. I sent it back for a refund. This is all very disappointing -- I spent a great deal of time choosing it as my next amp. Crutchfield was helpful, but to this day my queries to Technics have gone unacknowledged.
Pros: Clear, airy, handsome looks
Cons: Multiple points of failure

Phenomenal integrated
Mose from Farmingtn Hls, MI on 9/14/2022
I sold some very good separates to down size. I bought this integrated thinking I would have to settle for just ok sound, boy was I wrong the SU-G700M2 has left me speechless and very happy. Immersive sound and absolutely no noise. Simple setup and a very striking appearance. This unit has plenty of power to drive my Tannoy speakers to high levels. I've looked at lots of YouTube videos before I bought this amp and all of them have been spot on about the sound, detailed plenty of midrange, glorious treble and tight bass. This is exactly what I was looking for in a integrated and much more. The best part of this story is that this particular unit was an open box purchase marked down but perfect in appearance and performance.
Pros: Glorious sound and still breaking in. Striking design. VU meters!
Cons: None so far

Perfection.
Crutchfield customer from Washington, DC on 8/25/2022
For my new Streamer Rose 150B paired with my Vintage JBL L100 I was looking for the right amplifier. So many choices and so many opinions made me dizzy. This new line of technic amp got my attention and I decide to give a chance to the SU-G700M2. The look was superb and the reviews was on par. Well, how to describe what's coming out of my system ? May be one word : PERFECTION. Everything coming in comes out like musical heaven. From bass, middle range, hight frequency, everything comes together In clarity, nuances, presence, separation and depth. The LAPC that I have activated is like doing the right cooking to the best ingredients. A recipe for sound's Nirvana. At this price nothing comes close.

Technics SU-G700M2 Grand Class
Todd from SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ on 8/20/2022
Amazing analog amp. I didn't want bluetooth or digital inputs. I have a Cambridge Network Player for all that. Love the meters. Classic look with modern build. My friends dad had a Technics amp growing up and I always wanted one of my own. Sounded great out of the box but after running through the automatic speaker leveling setup it took the sound to an even greater level. Really couldn't be happier.
Pros: Phono Input, Level Meters, Quality build, Powerful, automated speaker leveling.
Cons: None.
