2.1Ch Driver Configuration: The Technics Ottava SC-C70MK2 All-in-One Music System features a 2.1ch driver configuration with two 0.75" silk soft-dome tweeters with optimized acoustic lenses, dual 3.125" mid-bass woofers, and a down-firing 4.25" subwoofer for dynamic full-range stereo sound.

• Two 0.75" Dome Tweeters: The two Hi-Res-ready 0.75" dome tweeters feature a lightweight silk diaphragm that provides beautiful transparent high-frequency sound. What's more, an acoustic lens is optimized and integrated for each tweeter to enhance the expansiveness of reproduced high-frequency sound-stage.
• Dual 3.125" Mid-Bass Woofers: The dual 3.125" mid-bass woofers provide superb response and sound clarity to reproduce mid- and bass-frequency sound comfortable to the ear, thanks to their lightweight voice coil, enhanced airflow design, and increased rigidity of the diaphragm.
• Down-Firing 4.25" Subwoofer: The down-firing 4.25" subwoofer coupled to two rear-firing ports allow this compact all-in-one speaker system to deliver surprisingly deep, articulate bass with low distortion for a more immersive listening experience.

JENO Engine Digital Amplifier: The Ottawa SC-C70MK2 uses JENO Engine amplifier technology, a high-precision fully digital amplifier design from Technics. It resolves problems in digital processing, such as degradation of precise timing caused by jittering, and minimizes degradation of sound quality during the conversion of multi-bit signals into 1-bit PWM signals. In order to faithfully reproduce rich, dynamic sound from the Technics Ottava's 2.1ch configuration, three JENO Engine full digital amplifiers have been employed to deliver a total of 100 watts of power. The three JENO Engine digital amplifier units faithfully deliver 30 watts to the left tweeter and mid-bass woofer, 30 watts to the right tweeter and mid-bass woofer, and 40 watts to the subwoofer for discrete and optimized amplification.

• Re-Master: The high-precision signal processing circuitry of the JENO Engine expands the frequency band of Bluetooth and Internet radio sources (in which high-frequency signals are commonly lost due to signal compression ) to a range equivalent to that of a CD source. This eliminates the lack of expansiveness in high-frequency sound and the loss of sound detail, and delivers enhanced sound quality.
• LAPC (Load Adaptive Phase Calibration): The SC-C70MK2 also features the LAPC function, which is load adaptive amplifier technology developed by Technics to ensure perfect alignment with the speakers. The system measures the phase and impedance properties of the integrated speakers and optimizes the resulting sound output using the data it has obtained.
• Twin Power Supply Circuit: To reduce mutual interference between the amplifier handling significant power and the sensitive small signal circuits, the Ottava SC-C70MK2 utilizes the Twin Power Supply Circuit System. This supplies power from two separate transformers for the two separate circuits. Furthermore, each circuit and power supply are connected using the shortest possible distance while also being positioned separate from one another to ensure minimal noise in the system.

Bass Reflex Enclosure: The Ottava SC-C70MK2 employs a bass reflex enclosure with dual rear-firing flared port for smooth bass response. The rear bass reflex port design is based on fluid analysis and reduces noise to create responsive low frequency reproduction with less distortion. The bass reflex port opening is positioned using CAE sound analysis, enabling dynamic and rich mid-low range without sound-absorbing materials. The bass-reflex enclosure features an elegant aluminum construction with a unique levered grille. As a result, the Ottava SC-C70MK2 will bring an elegant sound and presence to your living space.

Space Tune: The Ottava SC-C70MK2 is equipped with a built-in microphone and Technics' "Space Tune" function through the Technics Audio Center app (for Apple iOS & Android OS), to allow adjustment of sound space according to the room environment and installation location, so that anyone in the room can enjoy excellent music reproduction. Space Tune measures the speaker system's acoustic environment or you can select from one of four presets ("Free", "Wall", "Corner", or "In a Shelf") according to the speaker system's installation location to achieve the most suitable sound quality for a specific acoustic environment. As a result, the Ottava SC-C70MK2 can bring out the best sound reproduction in practically any installation condition.

• If you have an Apple iOS device running the Technics Audio Center app, more precise Space Tune adjustments (such as room noise & room acoustic conditions) can be made using the microphone integrated in your compatible iOS device for even higher-quality optimized sound performance.
• You can further tune the All-in-One Music System's sound by adjusting its Bass, Midrange, and Treble (from -10 to +10) in order to tailor its sound to your personal preference or genre of music.

Disc Player: The Technics Ottava SC-C70MK2 All-in-One Music System features a built-in CD player that supports playback CD-Audio, CD-R, and CD-RW discs. CD-R and CD-RW discs must contain PCM audio files (not compatible with MP3, WMA, or other compressed music files). Disc playback functions include Play/Pause, Stop, Previous/Next Track, Fast Forward/Rewind, Repeat (Track/All), Random, and Program (up to 20). The unit's front-panel display will indicate Track number and elapsed playing time (CD text information is not supported).

AM/FM Tuner: The Technics Ottava SC-C70MK2 All-in-One Music System even features a built-in AM/FM tuner with a FM wire antenna and AM loop antenna. The unit offers a total of 45 AM/FM presets; you can store up to 30 radio stations for FM and 15 stations for AM.

Headphone Out: The Ottava SC-C70MK2 is equipped with a front-panel 3.5mm headphone jack for connecting a set of headphones, so you can listen to your music privately. When a set of headphones are connected, the unit's speakers will be muted automatically.

Analog/Digital & Bluetooth Sources

Analog & Digital Inputs: The Ottava SC-C70MK2 All-in-One Music System is outfitted with both analog and digital audio inputs. The analog input consists of a stereo minijack (3.5mm) port, while the digital audio input consists of a optical (toslink) jack. The optical (toslink) digital input supports up to 2ch stereo PCM, up to 24-bit/96kHz.

USB-A Ports The Technics Ottava SC-C70MK2 is equipped with a rear-panel USB-A 2.0 port for playback of a variety of compressed and Hi-Res music files stored on a USB MSC (mass storage class) device. A USB thumbdrive (256MB) or USB HDD (up to 1TB) can be connected to the rear-panel USB port. Compatible USB devices must be formatted in FAT16, FAT32, or NTFS. It can recognize up to 800 music folders and 8000 music files. You can control music playback from the included remote or top-panel controls, as well as view song/artist/album information (no album art) on the front-panel display. The rear USB-A port (5V/0.5A) can also be used to charge USB-enabled electronic devices, such as a smartphone. Compatible music files include -

Bluetooth Audio Streaming: Built-in Bluetooth 4.2 with support for wireless audio streaming (A2DP) and control (AVRCP) allows you to wirelessly stream audio from stored music, music apps, and other audio content from Bluetooth-enabled source devices (such as a smartphone, tablet, laptop, or computer) to the Technics SC-CX700 speaker system. The unit supports SBC and AAC Bluetooth codecs. You'll also be able to operate basic playback functions (such as Play/Pause, Stop, and Skip) from the system's remote or top-panel controls. You can pair multiple devices (up to 8) to the SC-CX700, but only one can be connected and used for playback at a time. The unit will automatically connect to the last paired Bluetooth device when switching the input source to Bluetooth when the Bluetooth source is in wireless range (up to 33').

Network & Internet Integration

Wired or Wireless Network Connection: The Technics Ottava SC-C70MK2 offers a wired (Ethernet) and wireless (WiFi) network connection. The Ottava SC-C70MK2 is outfitted with a Ethernet (RJ45) jack for a hardwired connection to your network router. It also features dual-band 2.4/5GHz WiFi 5 (802.11ac) for a wireless connection to your WiFi network router. A wired or wireless network provides access to online music services from Technics Audio Center app, Google Cast, and Apple AirPlay 2; as well as local digital music libraries stored on DLNA-compliant network devices.

Technics Audio Center app: The Technics Audio Center app (for (Apple iOS & Android OS) lets you access select online music services and internet radio, as well as and create a wireless multi-room audio system through multiple Technics Audio Center (TAC) app compatible devices. The Technics Audio Center app also provides access to the music stored on a connected DLNA-compatible server, content stored on the smartphone or tablet device running the app, and music files on a connected USB MSC devices or songs on CD, giving you integrated playback control.

• Online Music Services: The Technics Audio Center (TAC) app allows access and control of select Internet Radio and online music services such as Amazon Music (including HD), Tidal, Deezer, Qobuz, and TuneIn. Up to 9 presets can be set on the main unit, such as favorite internet radio station or playlists - making it possible to listen to your favorite music with a touch of a button.
• Multiroom Audio: If you have multiple compatible Technics Audio Center (TAC) app devices, you can create a wireless multiroom audio system that allows you to enjoy compatible online music service (listed above) and internet radio; as well the built-in CD player & AM/FM tuner, Bluetooth & USB audio, plus analog & digital source inputs on the Ottava SC-C70MK2 and other TAC app compatible devices (up to 6 total devices) in different rooms throughout your home. *AirPlay 2 and Google Cast are not supported since they are their own proprietary multiroom eco-system.

Spotify Connect: The integration of Spotify Connect will enable Spotify Premium users to instantly select and wirelessly stream music to the Ottava SC-C70MK2 from within the Spotify app (Apple iOS or Android). Spotify is a digital music service that gives you on-demand access to one of the largest music libraries in the world. Spotify makes it easier than ever to discover, manage, and share music with your friends. You can browse music by artist, album, track, or most popular; and create your own music library with customized playlists.

Google Cast: Use the Google Home App (for Apple iOS and Android OS) to enable Google Cast. Google Cast gives you access to hundreds of online music streaming services, internet radio, and podcasts. Google Cast streams audio directly from the cloud, so you get the 24-bit/96kHz sound quality and the ability to enjoy crystal clear sound exactly the way the artist intended. Simply tap the Cast button from a Google Cast compatible music app on your Apple iOS or Android OS device to start streaming to the Ottava SC-C70MK2. You can search, browse, play, skip, and turn up the volume directly from the music apps you know and love on your compatible smartphone or tablet. Google Cast supports FLAC, WAV, AAC, and MP3 music files. While you cast your music, you can still use your smartphone to answer a call, play a game, send a text, and even leave the room - all without interrupting what's playing on the Technics Ottava SC-C70MK2.

• Music, Radio, & Podcasts: Google Cast lets you play music from popular music services and search by artist, song, genre, album playlist, mood, or activity. You can also listen to your favorite internet radio stations and podcasts. Compatible music and internet radio apps include Tidal, Spotify, Pandora, TuneIn, iHeart Radio, YouTube Music, and more (subscriptions and fees will apply). Click here for a complete list of Google Cast compatible apps. You'll also be able to stream your favorite music, playlists, podcasts, and more that are stored on your Android (OS 6.0+) device to the Ottava SC-C70MK2. You cannot stream stored content on an Apple iOS device using Google Cast. If you're on your laptop or computer, you can also cast any music streaming website through the Chrome web browser to the network player.
• Multiroom Audio: Add more Google Cast speakers throughout your home (sold separately) to create a whole house audio experience. You can play the same Google Cast compatible music app (like Tidal, Spotify, or Pandora) on all speakers or groups of speakers in different rooms of your home. You'll be able control the multiroom audio system from the Google Home app on your Apple iOS or Android device, or using the Google Assistant and your voice on a compatible Google Home device.
• Voice Control (Optional): Purchase a Google Home wireless speaker (sold separately) and gain voice control of compatible Google Cast music apps. You'll be able to access a specific music app and then select a specific station or song using only your voice. You'll also have voice control over Play, Pause, Skip, & Volume. The Technics Ottava SC-C70MK2 and your Google Home speaker must be connected to the same wireless (WiFi) network.

AirPlay 2: AirPlay 2 is an advanced and easy-to-use wireless multiroom audio platform for iTunes, Apple Music, and other compatible Apple iOS apps. With AirPlay 2 you can play any sound from your Apple iOS device (running iOS 11.4 or later) or Mac computer (running OS X 10.13.2) through the Ottava SC-C70MK2 and other compatible AirPlay 2 products throughout your home. You can choose to play audio in one room, play the same audio in grouped rooms, or play the same audio in every room. If you are an Apple Music subscriber, you can even play different music in different rooms (you can control and group directly from Apple's Music App and Home app on your Apple iOS device). You will also be able to ask Siri-enabled devices (like your Apple iPhone, iPad, or Watch) to control playback of your Apple Music on the Ottava SC-C70MK2 speaker system. You can even watch videos and movies from YouTube and Netflix on your compatible Apple iOS device or Mac computer with perfectly synced audio on the Technics Ottava SC-C70MK2 All-In-One Music System.

DLNA Compliant: The Technics Ottava SC-C70MK2 is DLNA compliant for playback of various music files stored on your Windows PC (7-up) or DLNA-certified NAS drives connected to your home network. MAC OSX computers and laptops require third party software to be visible on the network (Twonky, Plex, Servio etc.) as they do not support DLNA. You can control music playback from the included remote or top-panel controls, as well as view song/artist/album information (no album art) on the front-panel display.

Control & Convenience Features

Front-Panel Display: The Technics All-in-One Music System's front-panel display indicates input source, song/artist/album information (when applicable), clock, playback status, and more. Song/artist/album information (no album art) is supported from Network & USB audio sources. Bluetooth audio does not support song/artist/album info.

Top-Panel Controls: Touch-sensitive top-panel controls allow you to operate Power On/Off, Volume (0-100), Play/Pause, Stop, Previous/Next Track, and Favorites.

Remote Control:  The included IR remote provides wireless operation of the Ottava SC-C70MK2 speaker system. However, you'll also need a compatible Apple iOS or Android OS device with Technics Audio Center (TAC) app and other supported applications for complete control of the system.

Power Requirements: The Ottava SC-C70MK2 comes with a detachable 5' AC power cord (3-prong; C5) that plugs into the back of the speaker system and into an AC power wall outlet or surge protector/line-conditioner (sold separately).

• Play Timer: You can set the speaker system so it turns on and plays a selected source at a set time every day.
• Sleep Timer: The Sleep Timer can be set to turn the system off automatically after a certain period of time.
• Auto Off: This unit will automatically enter standby mode and turn off if no sound output or operation is preformed for approximately 20 minutes.

Mounting & Placement Options: The Technics Ottava SC-C70MK2 All-in-One Music System can simply be tabletop mounted on shelf, desk, counter-top, nightstand, or other flat mounting surface. If you install the speaker system close to a wall or a corner, the bass sound will be more powerful. However, if the system is too close to a wall, sound localization performance and sound ambiance may deteriorate. If this occurs, adjust the distance between the speaker system and the wall.
