Love this sub
William from Fulton, NY on 9/2/2023
2013 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
Let me start by saying how great Crutchfield is as a company. This is my 3 sub that I've purchased in the last 3 weeks. I have a 2013 Chevy Silverado extended cab and it was hard to find a powered sub that would fit good and hit hard. I started with JBL nano and for me that didn't impress so I returned it and ordered a Rockford fosgate p300 10t this was good but just didn't fit well in my truck so then did some research and found this sub fits great behind my seat and also hits hard even at low volume so I'm very happy. If I return this one it would only be to jump to the 12 inch.

Bass for a 2022 Dodge Challenger RT

This sub woofer sounds great. It's an easy way to get that quality bass from a stock head unit that doesnt have pre amp outputs. Installed this on my wife's 2022 Dodge Challenger RT using the rear deck speaker inputs, and it rocks! It's a bit pricey, but worth it. It has some boom now..not earth shattering, but quality bass. It will still rattle the rear view mirror..
Pros: Quality sound
Cons: It's pricey..

William from OAKLAND, ME on 6/22/2022
2021 GMC Sierra 1500
Installed in my 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 double cab under driver side rear seat. No Bose or factory amp, IOR option code with 8 inch screen. It sounded good when turned up, but seemed to overpower the factory speakers. When I turn the subwoofer down with the optional volume control knob, it just didn't sound right. I considered a return but read on a forum to change the front door factory speakers. I originally bought the JL C1-690 speakers, did not install them. I was told the dash speakers are not tweeters but midrange speakers So I bought the JL C1-690x instead. The difference in sound is incredible. The clarity, bass, and loudness seemed to come to life. I would highly recommend this subwoofer and the JL C1-690x speakers.
Pros: Fits under my back seat, sounds great, we'll made.
Cons: For the cost, I believe the optional volume control knob should have been included.

Great sound but needed more
Fred from Denver, CO on 5/10/2022
Initially I was impressed with the size and sound of the ACS110LG-TW1. It fit perfectly under the back seat of my 2014 Titan (with room to spare) and with its premium finish looked nice. After going through my music catalog though, I began to realize that it didn't quite meed the sound I was looking for. To me, it didn't feel/sound like a JL 10" subwoofer powered by a 400W amp. Maybe I was expecting too much but I don't think the sealed Power Wedge box was big enough to satisfy the "Boom" I was craving. Thankfully Crutchfield was great about setting up a painless return. Ultimately I ended up purchasing the MicroSub+ ACP110LG-TW1. The fit under the seat was a little tighter but the sound is exactly what I was looking for. If your limited on space and want quality punchy lows then this box will suffice but if Boom is what you're looking for and have the space and money to spend get the MicroSub+ ported box.
Pros: Premium finish, quality sound, easy set-up
Cons: Small box limits performance

Matthew from Norfolk, VA on 3/7/2022
I like it. Like other reviews said, this isn't going to blow your eardrums out with bass, but it provides enough to feel it, and it hits a bit too. Maxed out is a bit too much bass for my 4 x 65 RMS amp for my speakers in a coupe/hatchback. The power/remote/ground is actually a plug that easily comes off if you need to take the speaker out. I did get the bass knob for it but did not install it. I didn't think I would really need it, but I do listen to a lot of different music and would actually be really helpful to have an easy way to give or take a little bass depending on what I'm listening to (without having to go to the equalizer in the hu).
Pros: Easy to remove without having to 'de-wire' it. More than enough bass for me. Get the knob for easy bass adjustment.
Cons: It is a big rectangle box that may not really have a good spot to place in some vehicles.

I put this in my Crosstrek. I really wanted the 12 inch but the 10 sounds really good. The bass sounds like it's just right for the size of the car, and the size of the actual box still gives me plenty of room in my trunk. It doesn't sound obnoxious at all from the outside even when you have it turned up.
Pros: Great sound Doesn't sound obnoxious from the outside Great value (Built in amp) Saves space
Cons: The bass doesn't penetrate my soul and leave me not knowing whether I'm inhaling or not.

Big bass from a small sub
Russell from San Clemente, CA on 1/25/2022
Great sound and fits perfect behind the seat pedestal in my Sprinter. Would give it 5 stars but it rattled when I first got it. After opening the enclosure I found one of the speaker wires to the woofer was touching the wall of the enclosure causing the rattle. It was an easy fix but one that probably could've been avoided. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase it again.

JL Audio ACS110LG-TW1 powered sub
Anthony from Des Moines, IA on 12/13/2021
2017 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid
Very impressed! It's not my dream sub but it's exactly what I needed! I have a Rav 4 Hybrid very limited in what I'm able to have power wise. To my surprise it rocks enough within my car and isn't obnoxious and attracting unwanted attention. It's tight, accurate, and is able to play well from rock to hip hop and country. Placement is very important and I've settled on up firing and placed as far away toward the rear hatch as possible. Overall satisfied. This set up is for those who are realistic about their requirements, not someone who wants attention!
Pros: Astonishing, accurate sound from such a small package! Don't forget the Bass Knob
Cons: You have to take a leap of faith with the price but you'll get it once you have it up and running!

I have a reg cab C1500 family heirloom which I wanted to have an enjoyable sound system without ruining the original and classic aesthetics. RetroSound makes the head unit and 4x6s that work best, but I went with the JL for the bottom end. I've experienced some of the powered 8" 125-200w units available (Rockford Fosgate, JBL BassPro, Alpine) and I wasn't impressed with how hard they had to work for less performance than what one would expect from that wattage range of 8" subwoofer. I don't want to be the guy who's bass you hear coming from a mile away, but sometimes I like to crank the tunes and those skinny 8"ers don't keep up; this JL does. After laying the cables, I used an M8 eye-nut on the factory cargo tray bolt and ratchet-strap to keep it secured, out of sight but fills the cab nicely!
Pros: Performance
Cons: Pricey, but you get what you pay for!

It's important to talk expectations here. If you're expecting loud bass that carries outside your vehicle causing people to turn their heads and take notice; this isn't it. This in my opinion provides nice clean bass that will complement your door speakers. Again, this IS NOT the wake up your neighborhood, hear you coming from a distance bass. With that said...this unit is overpriced in my opinion. I am on the fence, I do like the sound it outputs, but I also expect more for the price. What I like about this unit is that it sits perfectly under the rear seat of my 2019 Silverado crew cab without any protrusion or interfering with the position of the seat. I was also able to maintain where my jack and its accessories are mounted by the factory. So, if you looking for a modest system that sounds good in the cabin and takes up a small footprint. This is a good unit. If you want loud bass that makes people outside of your vehicle take notice, this isn't the best option for you. Also I feel that the bass knob is a needed accessory, but it has to be purchased separately.
Pros: Small footprint Clean, complementary bass for audio system
Cons: Price Bass knob needs to be purchased separately

Exactly what i was looking for
Brandon from Fargo, ND on 9/25/2021
First, finding a decent sub that fits behind the back seat in a (2014+) Tundra Crewmax isn't easy unless you look at custom options. An installer said it wouldn't fit but someone online said they got it to fit so I took a chance and installed it myself. It absolutely fits behind the rear passenger side seat with no modifications. It also sounds awesome. I have kappa 3 ways in the front and infinity reference coax in the rear and this was exactly what I needed to complete my setup. It puts out a lot of bass. If you are looking to shake the neighborhood this may not be it, but if you want to feel your music and complete your sound this will do the trick. Once you get your gain set properly you will definitely appreciate the output with this thing. I absolutely recommend getting the remote knob. Every song is a little different and being able to get the perfect amount of bass is critical.
Pros: Size, sound, fairly easy install.
Cons: None

It's been about 20+ years since I've done anything aftermarket as far as car stereo stuff goes and I'm thoroughly impressed with this box. I just bought a base model Lexus CT200h and it had no subwoofer unfortunately so I needed something that didn't take up too much space that gave me at least what a factory amp/sub would do. This setup installs easily, and bumps pretty dang good. Only downside is the price but you pay for what you get.

JL Powered 10" Sub in Tacoma '15 Doublecab
Crutchfield customer from St Petersburg, FL on 9/1/2021
After an exhaustive search and 2 calls to Crutchfield for a sub that would fit in my '15 Taco double cab, I ended up trying this sub. I had heard others using this but they didn't leave enough details as to the install. I wanted something that would boom but also be concealed and require no permanent mods. I removed both plactic organizers behind the rear seats and it just barely fits behind the driver's side. I'm tuning it now then will reinstall the passenger side organizer. It will bend the plastic a little and you won't have access to the amp controls but once it's tuned you can use your head unit to make minor changes. This sub sounds fantastic and really thumps. I'm very impressed with the quality and my only regret was not getting it sooner. Crutchfield rocks and their advice is always top notch. If your on the fence give it a shot, you won't regret it.
Pros: Exceptional sound, deep responsive, loud bass, top notch advisors, return policy.
Cons: None, the Taco has limitations where you can put subs without modifications. This fits well and protects your resale value.

Big bass in a small space

It really evens out a system that is balanced. It's not gonna set off any car alarms, but for what it is and it's under a $1000 to install. It's a great addition to the sound of your car. I have a convertible and it still blows me away how loud it is. Bass knob is a must. Well worth the extra $50. I honestly thought it wasn't gonna be loud enough because of how small it was. But if you're on the fence about buying it and don't want annoying bass. Then this is for you. Clean bass.
Pros: I have a 12" clearance in my trunk. It fits perfectly. Bass knob.
Cons: There are no brackets to hold the sub in place for the trunk. But I'm sure I can rig something u.

I did not want to cut into the fiberglass of my boat to install a subwoofer, so I was looking for something that I could put in a storage area. Storage is at a premium in a 19ft bowrider, so I was worried not only about the sound, but also the size. This compact box fit perfectly and I couldn't be happier with the sound. I am still using the stock Fusion head unit and speakers (no separate amp) and my boat now sounds incredible. This box has plenty of power. If I turned it up all the way I would be afraid of cracking the hull! Since my application is a little different, I can't attest to how it would sound if it were in the trunk. But for me, you can feel the bass through your bones from anywhere on the boat. Great product.

2007 Chevrolet Silverado 2500/3500
I searched tirelessly for a small, powered subwoofer to mount under the backseat of my 2007 duramax crew cab. I had already installed JL speakers in all four doors and went ahead and ordered this to finish the system out. I was apprehensive to spend this much money because I really wasn't planning on adding much bass. This is way more bass than I was expecting in such a small package. The box was smaller than I pictured in my mind d so it fit nicely under the seat. Installation was a breeze since everything is in one unit. My head unit has plenty of adjustment for controlling the sub, so it has no problem coming down to manageable levels or turning up to get things shaking. I am thoroughly impressed and pleased with this purchase. Would recommend to anyone needing bass without much room to spare.
Pros: Size, sound, ease of installation
Cons: Price (expensive but worth the price, you won't regret it)

Very solid built and very nice overall powered 10" sub. The sound is great, very accurate and tight bass. Looks great and it's size makes it very easy to fit under or in our case behind the seat. I do have 3 complaints though... 1 - it comes with no mounting brackets or anything to mount it with at all. 2 - it doesn't come with the remote bass control, must purchase separate. 3 - they put the positive and negative leads on the amp connector side by side right next to each other, every other amp I've installed has them separated, so be very carful and make certain the wires don't fray and touch. Normally the remote on wire is in the middle to separate the pos and neg.

Installed behind passenger seat of my 2017 tacoma limited. Removed the JBL sub and trimmed the plastic to fit around the new sub box. Waited a little bit to receive the optional bass knob, but it sounds great now that I can adjust the bass according to music type. This sub is just like everyone has said, surprising for its size, and hits pretty hard with tight, clean bass. Crutchfield is fantastic with their fast shipping and tech support.

Since there is not one specifically for my truck, I chose this one based on its exterior dimensions, as well as the integrated amp. It fits perfectly behind the bench seat, and as a bonus, the width of the unit was perfect to fit between existing mounting points on the cab wall. Combined with the remote level control, I get nice, tight punch on the low end, and can adjust the volume so it doesn't overpower the front stage.

So much better
Jeff from San Marcos, CA on 5/11/2020
Installed this in my 2019 Charger Hellcat with factory Harman Kardon optional audio system. I was very unhappy with the HK system sound, particularly the bass. This system has a free air woofer center mounted on the rear parcel tray. So I used this JL self powered sub installed in the spare tire area (car is delivered with no spare tire.) I tapped the center factory woofer for high level source and unplugged the factory woofer. Spliced the factory positive to both positive wires on the JL high level harness and did the same for the negatives. Unit fits the foam spare tire well very securely. I shaved down the foam insert on the rear side so the subs grill would be low enough for the spare tire well cover to sit flush. I cut an access hole in the foam cover on the passenger side for all the wiring to pass through. All wiring done in the trunk (battery for car is in the trunk.) Only had to remove the rear shelf lower cover (fastened by push pins) to tap the factory woofer wires. I did not use a line output converter or processor. So easy install. Used 180 degrees on the output polarity setting (sounded better) and 1/2 scale on the input sensitivity (can get a lot out if desired but I like enhancing bass vs overpowering.) Head unit set to flat with surround off. Results are vastly improved bass response. Clean and tight. Now I can actually enjoy music in this car. For a fairly affordable, non-invasive, easy major improvement for the HK system, this worked out very well.
Pros: Very easy install, no loss of trunk space in my application. Sounds amazingly good and exceeded my expectations.
Cons: None

I had this installed in the trunk of my 2006 a Toyota Avalon. It really warms up the overall SQ and impressive bass for such a small sub. It takes up very little room in my trunk which is what I was going for. Does not his like a huge custom box but I am very happy with this sub. I highly recommend it for just bringing your overall SQ up to a really nice level. Huge difference vs. prior to getting the sub. I wish I'd done this years ago!

Turn it up and this thing cranks - puts a smile on my face - and at lower listening volumes, this fills the gap where my speakers roll off. No, this won't "entertain" the whole neighborhood, but 400 watts gets the job done. Really glad I went with this over the range of 100 W under-seat units. Installing this in the rear seat storage of my 3rd gen Tacoma required trimming out the bottom of the storage well, but it wasn't a big deal. Almost no temperature rise during use, which bodes well for long-term reliability.

Big Van, Big Bass
Chris from Philadelphia on 6/25/2019
2018 Ram Promaster
My situation is a bit different than many who choose this sub. I am converting a cargo van to a camper and actually have an enormous about of space, but that space is intended for other things than a large sub box like I've used in vehicles previously. As such, I needed a sub that would fit in the cab area (under the driver seat), but be powerful enough to sound good in such a large van. I tried an Alpine PWE-S8 at first and while I don't doubt that unit is great for classic cars, coupes, and so on - it just did not have enough power to compliment the amplified door speakers in the van. I've used JL subwoofers for 15 years in my other vehicles so I finally bit the bullet and went for the "right" solution. This thing slams. I have it mounted under the driver seat and it is absolutely loud enough. No distortion. Fits perfectly under the seat. Shakes the mirrors to where you cannot see out of them, for better or worse. It feels like the 10" in my hatchback. I am extremely pleased with its performance - not just for the size, but in general. So glad I didn't go down a rabbit hole of trying to run a separate amp and enclosure. This thing lets you have your cake and eat it too.
Pros: Amazing Sound, Engineering Marvel, More Compact Than Expected, Convenient
Cons: Pricey

Crisp, clear, low-end with a good thump
Tim from Goodhue, MN on 3/8/2019
Added this to my 2005 F350 dually with the Powerstroke. The factory speakers simply were not enough to overpower the engine and road noise of the vehicle. My head unit is a Kenwood DNX9980HD from some time ago, but it still works very well. I replaced the factory speakers with JBL Club 8620s front and rear. Those alone provide far more clarity I had not heard before, but still lacked solid low-end. Coming from my younger years where I'd dropped 5k+ in systems and had component speakers, dual 12"s and caps, as well as previous vehicles with premium BOSE or JBL audio from the Factory, something was missing. Adding in this 10" unit to the JBL speakers did just the trick. It provided that low end which had been missing. The lows are now very present, clear, and you get a little thump in your chest. You certainly know it's there. It's not an overpowering annoyance of a bandpass box, and with some tuning from the Kenwood, I can dial in the sub to a very comfortable listening level. If you really wanted, you can push the levels up and then you wind up with far more booming bass, but that's not what I was going for. I have the bucket seats in my back, so this was about the only enclosure that had a chance of fitting without losing space or being noticeable. I have the speaker firing towards the back of the cab vs. into the seat as to limit the muffling of the sound. This met and exceeded my expectations. I'm no longer irritated listening to music from techno
Pros: A small, fully contained unit, and simple to install. Great sound, clear, crisp hits, and can easily be dialed in to not annoy your spouse when riding together, or dial it up a bit to re-live your days of Tag Team and Run DMC.
Cons: None so far.

This sub fits well underneath the right rear passenger seat of my 2019 Ford F-150 Raptor supercrew. Wiring was fairly simple after viewing several youtube videos. The supplied installation instructions were lacking to say the least. The sound is very clean and it hits the lowest notes. I just wish the wiring harness was a bit cleaner. There is a plug for the power and plugs for the inputs, but they could have combined this into a single cable that hides away better.
Pros: Easy installation, sound quality is very good.
Cons: Wiring is very messy, no combination cable to make a clean install.

So good, I bought a second one.
Derek Hill from Vancouver, WA on 11/1/2018
Such a great powered sub, I bought a second one for a different car. Initially, I installed one of these in my 2017 F-150 SuperCrew under the right rear seat. It sounds great. Really brings the right level of bass to the listening experience, complementing the JL C2 speakers in both the front and rear doors. Recently I purchased a convertible and I could not find a sub that fit. I couldn't use trunk space as the hard top folds into the trunk area. I decided to see if my JL Powerwedge+ would fit and it did with a extremely tight fit, but it fit. So I ordered another one to solve another "lack of decent bass" problem.
Pros: Compact Powerful Good looks Made in USA (using global components)

Sub install in a 2007 Scion
RJM - New Hampshire from Jackson, NH on 10/22/2018
I installed the sub with my 16 year old grandson in his 2007 Scion. I had planed the project to teach him some basic skills in using a soldering iron, shrink-wrapping, and electrical wiring theory (ohms law). After removing the back seat and side panels, running and connection the power and audio signals, we did our 1st power on. We then adjusted the gain and bypass on the subwoofer confirming the operation and installation of the wiring. Installing the panels and closing the trunk lid , we did a few test using select files from a iPhone. The sub added punch to the stock audio system, but most of all a fun project! The product is constructed with high quality components, and provides several installation options such as hi/low audio input, and timed power on/off. I selected JL because it was US Made.
Pros: High quality components Installation options US made
Cons: Price band

Rich bass in a small powered enclosure
Jorge from Tampa, FL on 8/7/2018
2007 Mazda CX-9
I just wanted to replace the factory radio on my 2007 CX-9 with a new head unit that supported CarPlay. That was the initial goal... I then went down this rabbit hole where I ended up replacing the head unit plus all the speakers, and since the head unit had preamp outputs for a subwoofer I was like, why not? I already had ordered the JL speakers and little did I know that subwoofers are what JL is known for. This unit is the smallest of their powered subwoofers, just slightly slimmer than the 8". This means that I was able to fit this unit under the cargo area of my CX-9 with little modification. The unit also generates very little heat since it has a super efficient power supply, which helps since this area has little ventilation. The bass in my opinion is impressive, I was just looking for something that complemented my system, this exceeded my expectations. It delivers clean, deep bass and it can rattle the windshield mirror if I wanted to (95% of the time I don't)... I usually run it a 6.5dB below the speakers level from my Kenwood head unit crossover settings (that's about 1/4 of the level of the speakers) and is still loud! I also got a killer deal with a scratch and dent unit so couldn't be happier.

No surprises here. The build quality and performance were exactly what you'd expect from a JL product. No question you can buy something with a comparable sound for a little less, but I doubt it would have the longevity. They cost more for a reason.
Pros: Easy setup and quality components that should last a long time.
Cons: Price. You have to think of it as a long term investment rather than something you'll use for 2-3 years and throw away.

Line input circuitry needs work....
Mark from Oswego, IL on 8/18/2017
I would first indicate that this package does not possess the signal level input sensitivity for use with the line level inputs. As a matter of fact, I sent the first one back because I nearly had zero output. I added this to the JVC/Kenwood KW-R910BT head unit, that supplies (2) sub outputs, left and right, with full menu control over the sub parameters, for direct connection to an Sub. I ended up putting an vintage and high quality Kenwood amplifier inline with the head sub outputs and then proceeded to feed the amplifier's speaker output to the JL Audio sub speaker level inputs and WOW this unit is very impressive, with the drive required to better match the sub input impedance and sensitivity. I think JL Audio missed the mark though, by not incorporating a simple circuit with switch, to change the input impedance sensitivity, to match the desired input usage. So, be forewarned, that you may not get the performance from this unit, if your head unit does not posses the drive for the line level inputs. again in my case the above stated JVC model. My biggest complaint, after all was said and done, was having to remove my interior ie. seats and console, and then replace and remove again, for having to wait for the replacement, but still needing the vehicle for use.....lol. Bottom line, this sub is very capable and clean, if you can drive it with enough signal. For what it may be worth, I am a component level bench tech for the industrial imaging industry for
Pros: Very small size with large clean sound. Simple removable design
Cons: Preamp circuitry needs work. Value for cost is quite iffy. Remote control is way too expensive for the design implemented .

This thing is the cat's ass! Absolutely crisp and clear and getting better everyday as it gets broken in. I have about 20 hours on it now and the subtle tones are coming through better. The kick drums are just enough to shake the rear view mirror at a comfortable listening level. I put this under the back seat in a 2016 F150 supercrew cab and I could not be happier. It really has a nice punch and plenty of power. I considered smaller 8 inch subs that go behind the rear seat for $250 but I was afraid I wouldn't be satisfied. Perfect Addition to F150
Micah from Rome, GA on 12/27/2016
My 2013 F150 came with the factory subwoofer which was missing on my new 2016 F150. Since I was missing this in my new truck; I was searching for a specific subwoofer with as much bass as I could get which would also fit underneath the rear seat of my supercrew cab. I did not want a subwoofer that would stick out underneath the seat and have people kicking it. I found many small "under seat" subwoofers which were 8". I wanted a 10" subwoofer but was having a hard time finding one that met all of the above criteria. After finding this one, it had everything I was looking for, although it was quite expensive. You can buy a shallow mount subwoofer/enclosure/amp for way less than the price of this. But, I will say, it is very 'clean' looking with it all in one box. Also, with it being in one box, I get to save more room. The only downside, if I had to be picky, is the built-in remote turn-on with signal. At low volumes, the subwoofer cuts out, and at semi-low volumes I can hear the subwoofer cut on and off at different times. I might try to find a way to get an actual remote wire over to eliminate this problem.
Pros: Clean Bass, Clean and very simple Install, Plenty of Power.
Cons: Remote Turn-on from DC or Signal can be intermittent at low volumes. Price is a little steep at first, but once hearing the quality and punch, I am okay with it. Hard sell at first though.

Great Quality Product
Jarrett from Stayton, OR on 11/16/2016
When I received the subwoofer, the grille's mesh already had a large dent in it. This is a good quality unit, and it helped fill in the lacking low end of my system. The output is very defined and clear, but it does not stay very loud at frequencies below 50 Hz. The sweet spot seems to be between 63-80 Hz. I've been running it for about 4 months now and it has never failed to bring good bass into my music. I haven't had any problems with overheating the amplifier, even at loud volumes for extended periods of time. Overall it is was well worth the money, but if you're looking for a chest thumping bass this might not be enough for you.
Pros: Well built, Very easy installation, Good quality sound, Easy to tune, Very Compact.
Cons: The grille was already dented when I received it. There is a very small rattle somewhere inside of it when it plays very intense low bass. It isn't very loud.

Good sound in a small package. Easy to install and fit under the Ford F-150 back seat with no problem. High power inputs take factory stereo power with no need for a line output converter. In fact, many amps can take high level inputs so line the line output converters are built in, save yourself some money and check your amp before buying a converter, there's no need to have 2, the amp already has one.
Pros: Easy Install

If you're looking for deep, or impressive bass.... This isn't the way to go. Buy separate subs and an amp and build a system. This setup is perfect if your looking for something a little better than a quality factory system with a factory sub. It's not a horrible product. But if you're looking for loud bass don't buy this. It is, however good for a quality, mild sounding system.
Pros: Simple. Takes no space. It is a JL Audio product. There's no such thing as a bad JL Audio product.
Cons: The connection to the amp is cheap. When is says use 8awg it means it. Don't use 6awg. Needs a higher quality speaker.

Thought JL Audio Made Good Subs...
Matthew from Canton, OH on 3/22/2016
2016 Subaru WRX
I ordered this at the end of November, but just got it installed a couple weeks ago. Wife, kids, and job kept putting the install on the back burner, plus Crutchfield goofed up and didn't include the harness adapter with the sub they sent me (it was a scratch and dent). When I got the sub, I had a few days off work to install it, but decided to wait until I had the harness before I installed it, which didn't arrive until after I went back to work. My original plan was to keep the factory head unit in my 2016 WRX and just add the sub to fill in the lacking low end. I tried that with the speaker level input to the sub and it sounded awful. Decided to go ahead and upgrade the head unit and factory speakers to see if I could get better sound. I was hoping a better HU (Kenwood DDX9702S) and RCA cables to the sub would make it sound better. It was only a minimal improvement. No matter what I do, it sounds muddy and doesn't hit hard. Any time I turn the power up over 55-60%, the sub distorts with modest settings on the HU. I have to say that I don't think I could be any more disappointed with it. I'm wondering if it's defective as bad as it sounds. I had a 10" Kicker Comp with a Sony Xplod amp running at 150 watts and it puts the JL to shame in every way. Bottom line, I would have returned it in a heartbeat if I had heard it before the return period was over. I'd still be upset if it cost much less.
Pros: Looks nice.
Cons: Ridiculously overpriced and poor sound quality.

Bought this to go in my 2003 Ford F-150 Regular Cab Truck not alot of room in there because it is a regular cab, but enough for this subwoofer to fit behind the rear seat. So that is where it is sitting and it is a beauty, I was not for sure if it would produce good sound or just ok sound but this subwoofer really surprised me it hit's really hard and really low, enough so that it shakes every thing in my truck if I really turn it up, the biggest thing that I like is it plays low and hit's hard with out any distortion and I listen to a broad range of music.
Pros: Small enough to fit behind the back seat of Regular Cab Truck's or under the seat if you have good spacers to lift the seat a little, sound of this subwoofer is great, hit's low and hit's hard, you can't go wrong with this beauty by JL AUDIO and Crutchfield.
Cons: None at the moment

Power wedge+

This speaker really impresses! I was unsure if it would really fill out what was missing from my (mostly) factory system in my F-150 SuperCrew, but once I got this thing hooked up and dialed in, it was just what I needed. I'll admit, the price was a little high, but hey you get what you pay for right? JL Audio does not fail to deliver on this product and it's made in the USA, which also made me feel better about the purchase! Bottom line, if you are needing to supplement some missing low end in whatever you're riding in right now I would definitely recommend this little 10. It really produces, and you might think there are more/larger drivers hidden somewhere because it really hits. I would also recommend the RBC-1 remote level controller. That really makes it easy to dial this thing in while listening to a variety of different music styles.
Pros: Compact, all in one, easy to take out if needed. SOUNDS AMAZING!
Cons: Price, but for the quality I don't think its totally unreasonable.

Great sound for such a compact sub. It fits perfectly in the back of the 370Z. It definitely fills the cabin with plenty of bass.
Pros: Compact, great sound.

Amazing Sound
MarkS from Wayzata, MN on 1/5/2016
Bought this to upgrade the "premium sound" in my 2016 F150. The Ford sub wasn't quite enough. I thought it would add a LITTLE bass. Just one little 10" pounds like the (2) 12" I used to have years ago when I was 16. Additionally, it is tiny and fits under the backseat without taking up any space. Well worth the money!
Pros: Amazing sound!
Cons: None!

Fits 2014-2015 Tundra crew cab.
TRD PRO 15 from Louisiana on 8/10/2015
It fits the 2015 crew cab like a glove , it fits so perfectly that there is no need to bolt it down at all. The sound is spectacular, is tight and clean , No engine noise or humming problems . Just make sure to tap in the 2 front channels and not rear , rear speakers output has a high pass filter, and you wouldn't not hear all the awesome bass this tiny box can produce.
Pros: tiny size , awesome and powerful amp , no sub popping . Is a JL Audio that says it all. Also has speaker and RCA inputs no need for adapter .
Cons: Can really name one yet .

Great sound in a small package
DennisY from Colorado on 8/3/2015
This sub sounds great in my Tacoma double cab. With very limited space, my options were limited, but I don't feel I lack bass with this little sub. The installation of the JL gain control knob works well with my factory headunit, as it lets me easily tone the bass down when listening to podcasts instead of music. That I feel the need to turn the bass down is a testimony to how much sound this little powerhouse delivers.
Pros: Great sound, small package, easy installation.
Cons: None
