JL Audio's M6-880X-L-GwSw marine speaker sports a discreet satin white Luxe grille, so it'll look at home in your cabin or other protected areas. The infinite-baffle design lets you mount it almost anywhere including bulkheads or ceilings.

This versatile speaker features a fine mesh Luxe grille that matches a wide range of boat interiors.

True 2-way crossover

The 1" treated-silk dome tweeter pumps out sharp detail, and the built-in 2-way multi-order crossover fully separates the highs from the lows for the tweeter and woofer. That means better protection, balanced power handling, tighter phase alignment, and cleaner acoustic blending — with less distortion. And since the crossover is sealed inside the speaker frame, you don't have to worry about installation or water damage.

Features

Marine Tested: JL Audio's marine speakers are tested in ultraviolet chambers to simulate years of sun exposure, and salt fog chambers to simulate years of exposure to salt-water environments.

Woofers: The woofer cones are injection-molded, mica-filled polypropylene with UV inhibitors and synthetic rubber surrounds. The precisely engineered dust cap profiles help smooth the upper-end response. Each woofer uses a marine-grade synthetic fiber spider with a progressive roll design and a vented motor structure with a marine grade stainless steel rear diffuser plate.

DMA (Dynamic Motor Analysis): DMA is JL Audio's proprietary method of improving dynamic motor behavior. The DMA-optimized long-excursion design enhances output, bass extension and power handling of the speaker.

Tweeters: Each speaker features a bridge mounted 1.25" treated silk dome tweeter with a specially formulated treatment to withstand the marine environment. The tweeters use neodymium magnets for higher efficiency levels and is Ferrofluid-cooled and damped for improved response and power handling capabilities.

Crossover: The JL audio marine speakers utilize a true 2-way crossover network with 1st order low-pass and 2nd order high-pass circuits. The crossover network also features a polyswitch solid-state tweeter protection circuit. The crossover is built into the terminal assembly to protect it from vibration and corrosion.

Basket & Grille: The speaker basket is UV-resistant polymer that encapsulate the woofers' motor systems to prevent corrosion. A metal mesh Luxe-style grille is included that magnetically mounts to the front of the speaker.

Infinite-Baffle Operation: The speakers are optimized for infinite-baffle operation so they can be installed in a variety of locations, without the need for a dedicated enclosure.

Power Handling: JL Audio recommends two RMS power figures for this model; 125 watts RMS continuous power handling and 50-250 watts recommended amplifier power. We've listed the more conservative 125 watts RMS in the specs table.
