The product themselves are great but the fit was not quite right for my truck and you had to force them over to get the alignment. Only other feedback is that if there was a way to get the wiring clips they send to snap into the brackets that would be amazing, I had to glue mine so they would not rattle around.
Pros:
Cons: Not quite the right fit

DO NOT FIT 6 1/2 INCH SPEAKERS
Crutchfield customer from PHOENIX, AZ on 3/4/2025
2007 Lexus RX350
False advertising from Scosche. These brackets do NOT fit 6 1/2 inch speakers as advertised. The hole is only 5 inches. The screw holes on the bracket are where the 6 1/2 speaker's rubber surround is! Look at the pictures! And no, it's not a 6 3/4 speaker. I'm not an idiot. What's crazy is, if I had a 5 1/4 the hole would be to big. So, neither size they advertise would fit. Stick with Metra. Scosche sucks. I was all excited to put my new speakers in my car, but now I have to return them and get the Metra brand I should have gotten in the first place.
Pros: None.
Cons: Wouldn't fit a 5 1/4 or a 6 1/2

Junk. Too small. Does not fit 6.5"
Christopher from Huntingtn Bch, CA on 8/5/2024
2016 Toyota Tundra
These brackets are not for 6.5" speakers. Not even close. I'm sure a 5.25" speaker would fit but scosche needs to update the description and crutchfield should also. Not a lot of fun being in the middle of an install only to find out your speaker adapters are too small
Pros: None
Cons: Too small

Meh...they work(ish)
john from SPRING HILL, TN on 7/28/2024
2014 Toyota 4Runner
These work(ish) in a 2014 Toyota 4Runner's rear doors. But with the RF 165-S speakers, the mounting surface is too small to get all 3 screws into the housing. You can make two line up, but to secure a third, you just have to pick a hole in the speaker rim and put the screw through the plastic. Again, they work, but there's probably a better option.
Pros: Price, Compatibility
Cons: Not made for all 6.5in speakers

Normally reliable Crutchfield blew it on this one. No way this fits a 6.5 inch speaker. I thought I must have ordered the wrong part but nope. Their website as of 12/21/2023 says for both 5.25 and 6.5 speakers. It will only fit a 5.25. If you need a bracket for 6.5 try the Metra 82-8148. Crutchfield modify your product description so others are not wasting their time.

Good speaker mounting bracket.
Ricardo from Tobyhanna, PA on 8/7/2023
2007 Subaru Impreza 2.5i
Good mount but not perfect. My understanding is that all Subaru's from 1999-2008 have similar speakers. Front 6 1/2" and rear 5 1/4". The mounting holes on this bracket did not line up with the door. What I did was use the stock mount and mark the mounting holes on the new brackets. Easily drilled out the new holes and mounted a set of KICKER CS coaxial 6 1/2" speakers.
Pros: Sturdy and free with purchase.
Cons: Just had to drill new holes on the bracket to mount them to the door. Very easily resolved with a drill. Took less than 5 minutes.

Questionable Fit on 06 Impreza
Carlos from Sahuarita, AZ on 6/12/2023
2006 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport
It is a nice to have included for free when you buy speakers for your car, which do state they are a modified fit for my car. Wish I could have taken a picture of how they would have fit but I opted not to use them. I ended up just cutting out the speakers from the OEM brackets (speakers are built as one complete unit into the plastic bracket) and using the modified and trimmed brackets to mount the new 5 1/4 inch Sound Ordnance P-52B I purchased. I also purchased a set of XTC 5-1/4" Speaker Baffles (Slim-line: 2-1/2" depth) which fit perfect and sealed up my door speaker, keeping them protected from the elements. Perfect fit and looks OEM!
Pros: Nice to have just in case.
Cons: Installing them requires a bity of work.

Worked great for the 5 1/4 but the 6 1/2 not so much. You would have to cut and modify it for 6 1/2 so what's the point if you buy them. I was able to use the factory ones. If you are looking to down size your speakers then yes buy them but they are too small for the 6 1/2.

Cons: Too small for 6 1/2

Easily accommodated the speaker and aligned to the bolt pattern of car. However, it left a pretty substantial gap between the door and the mounting bracket where the Audi A4 OEM solution had a good gasket seal. I'm no audio professional but it seems that causes an 'acoustic short circuit' for the speaker. I will either seal it myself or modify the OEM bracket for a better fit.

2006 Tundra Rear Speaker install. Did not line up on all 3 mount points, but was easy enough to fix. I had to drill an additional hole in the mounting bracket (no holes drilled in door) once i rotated the bracket to a place where the 2 bottom mount points lined up. I knew I would need to do this, due to feedback from other reviewers, so impact was minimal. Overall, the brackets worked great for me.

Worked great for my 2016 4Runner in the rear doors. Perfect fit with existing holes and new speaker lined up great as well. Ended up orienting them basically upside down to match up. Only complaint and removal of a star is that there is not enough hardware included. I did not use the speed clips since I was able to reuse the OEM bolts but I did use the screws to attach the speakers to the mounting brackets but there were not enough for all 8 speaker mounting points. Thankfully Crutchfield also sent a small hardware packet but the screws in that were about twice the length as the included Scosche ones. It all worked out but I'd like to see some more included.

2005 Tundra 4-door. Speakers fit bracket perfectly. Brackets did not fit rear doors perfectly. Tried to line up all the differing holes to mount bracket to door with original screws with no joy! Finally, got the old, reliable, round, metal file out and used it to adjust the holes of the brackets to align the speakers dead-center on the door position. Everything worked fine then. Photo is worth a thousand words of explanation.
Pros: Right depth and speakers fit perfectly
Cons: Holes for mounting bracket to door do not line up at all. Need to take a round metal file to the bracket to mount to door properly.

No good for my application
Crutchfield customer from E Brunswick, NJ on 12/12/2019
2003 Toyota Highlander
I would give less stars if possible (for my application). The diameter of this ring is slightly too small and did not allow me to screw my speakers into them. The whole point of a bracket is to save the custom work for the end level user. I do not want to buy brackets only to drill more holes into my door. Kind of defeats the purpose. I know they were free, but hey. Vehicle: 2003 Toyota Highlander Speakers: Infinity Reference 6.5
Pros: It was free.
Cons: Speakers didn't fit to the bracket. Bracket didn't fit to car.

Get the drill out
Guest from Natick, MA on 12/1/2019
2004 Toyota Highlander
Crutchfield provided Scosche SAT6 Speaker Mounting Brackets to allow installation of Infinity Reference REF-6530cx component speakers in my 2004 Toyota Highlander, the non-JBL base model. The Infinity woofers will not mount onto them, because the mounting tabs of the speaker are of a wider radius than the deck of the Scosche adapter, so the tabs hang out over it- nothing to screw the speakers to. Using a drill and some self-tapping sheet metal screws, I screwed the plastic mounting ring included with the speakers onto the Scosche, and then mounted the speaker onto that ring with zip ties, because the included clips would not work with this setup, and I had already been to the hardware store twice for the tweeter kludge. These adapters are necessary to move the speakers out from the door to the door panel, but on my Toyota, they were certainly not plug and play.
Pros: Move the speakers the proper distance from the door
Cons: Had to use mounting ring from speaker company to use

Marginal improvement over stock speakers in a 2004 Toyota Highlander
Crutchfield customer from Natick, MA on 12/1/2019
I bought Infinity Reference REF-6530cx component speakers for my 2004 Toyota Highlander, the non-JBL base model. I mostly listen to speech, not music, such as NPR and various podcasts. The stock speakers had an annoying bass boost to male voices. I chose the Infinity speakers on the advice of a Crutchfield rep, who said they were very efficient and would work well with my low-powered stock radio head. Long story short, the Infinitys are marginally better, not decisively better, with voices. Now I will likely change the head unit for one with a multiband equalizer to flatten out the speakers. But if I had done that first, I would likely not have needed the Infinitys.
Pros: Crutchfield Tech Support very good, and you may need them, because instruction sheet is lacking
Cons: Not appreciably better than the stock speakers Included Crutchfield instruction sheet gives no help about wiring and mounting crossover

Doesn't fit in door, requires modification
Mo from Seattle, WA on 9/27/2018
2006 Subaru Impreza 2.5i
These brackets work great to put my speakers on, however they didn't sit flush with my door panel with the mounting holes. To fit them into my car I had to drill through the brackets to actually get them to fit into my car, and just screwed them into the holes already on my door. I don't see the point in selling this as a compatible item if it doesn't fit without modification, and even if the bracket did sit flush with my door, I'd still end up having to drill holes through there. Another issue with these brackets is they feel flimsy and I'm concerned they might brake after I've installed them.
Pros: Holds my speakers
Cons: Flimsy, not directly compatible with 2006/07 Imprezas. If you have a preference 2008 Subaru I'd suggest looking elsewhere and I'm sure you could find a better product for your money that is actually compatible with your car.

Scosche SAT6 Speaker Mounting Brackets
Alex from Kent, WA on 9/19/2018
2007 Subaru Impreza WRX
Requires significant modification to fit in a pre-2008 Impreza door. Rather than drill holes in my door, I used the old speaker housing as a template and drilled new holes in the Scosche mounting brackets, then re-used the original screws to mount it to the original mounting holes. I had to break off all the mounting tabs to get it to sit right. It's less work than making a custom bracket out of wood, but it's not a simple bolt-in operation. The bracket's slots to mount the speakers into are also flimsy. It was free with my speakers, and based on the overall quality and "ease" of installation, I'd say that's about as much as I'd pay for these.
Pros: It's better than nothing.
Cons: Flimsy and requires modification, either to your doors or to the brackets themselves.

2011 Kia Sorento
11-13 Kia Sorento, Scosche SAT-6 Brackets get 3 stars even though I didn't use them. I'm certain they would have worked as instructed for installation. After removing rivets & stock speakers and dry fitting aftermarket bracket, I decided to mount the new Kenwood 6 1/2 KFC-1665s speakers without utilizing Scoshe brackets. Instead I utilized the stock speaker housing, this can be done WITHOUT removing housing or rivets, I learned this the hard way. Unplug male to Female wiring harness plug, peel off speaker material and cut speaker wire between female plug and soldered portion of speaker, Remove female plug portion off stock housing by using very small width regular screw driver & insert and push release clip slide forward and off. Cut away inside edge of plastic cross members of housing, I used wood saw of a leatherman tool. I recommend buying Metra 72-7300 speaker wiring harness it will slide onto stock holder and lock in place, drill out stock hole for wire lead to fit through, drill a second hole for the second lead. Dry fit new 6 1/2 speakers placing speaker connection for leads near holes drilled in housing. Then predrill holes for new speakers, connect speaker leads to speaker them tighten to housing using metal screws from new speakers. Connect male and female portion of harness and your done. It cost me $15 for nuts and bolts, washers and serviceable thread locker to remount housing. Essentially by doing it this way you don't need aftermarket brackets. Blessings
Pros: I'm sure they would work as instructed for installation.
Cons: After dry fitting brackets and talking to Tech support I seen there could possibly be an issue with the remounting of door panel if brackets aren't centered appropriately. I chose not to use them.

Speaker brackets are close but no cigar
Matt from Martinez, CA on 6/7/2017

These speaker adapters look like they work for many applications. They worked for my 2006 Toyota Tundra, but we're not a perfect fit. I tried the adapter to the stock holes, turning as many ways as possible, but could only align two out of three hole. So I drilled the third hole myself in each bracket to install the third mounting screw. These brackets are required to mount new speakers!
Pros: Better then the mounts that came with the new speakers. Easy to modify. Also came with lots of hardware.
Cons: Not a perfect fit on my 2006 Toyota tundra. 2 out of 3 screw holes line up, but the 3rd needed to be drilled out.

These worked for front door panel speakers in my 2005 Lexus ES330. They could be better - the fit isn't exactly 100% perfect, but pretty close. They definitely should come with a foam pad though, to ensure that the not 100% perfectly fitted brackets don't vibrate against the door frame. I had to make my own, but consider it unacceptable that they didn't have them in the box. On the other hand, they were free with my order and it did make the install a lot easier than it would have been otherwise - which still would have left me making my own foam gaskets, but drilling holes as well. So, I'm not raving, but can't really complain either.
Pros: Install is easier than not having them.
Cons: Need a foam gasket or pad (not included) to ensure no vibration noise due to slightly imperfect fit.

Used to install 5.25 speakers in a 6.5 opening on my 2016 Toyota 4Runner tailgate. The instructions were a little vague, and the provided screws were to short to bolt my speaker onto it. I needed to get my own hardware which included longer screws, washers and nuts. I also needed to drill out the slots on the adapter to allow for the wider screws.. Not hard just a little inconvenient. The adapter itself fit perfectly into the existing speaker opening.
Pros: Brackets fit into opening perfectly

Pros: made with high grade plastic very easy to use

Adequate but not perfect.
AlexAloha from Kaneohe, HI on 4/28/2016
2002 Toyota Highlander
These adapters allowed me to mount both Rockford Fosgate component woofers and Kenwood 2-way 6.5" speakers into the front and rear doors. However the stock speakers had a mount that extended the speaker away from the door nearly double the distance, thus there is at least a 1" gap now between the front of the speaker and the door speaker grille.
Pros: It works. It fits.
Cons: Not as deep as the original mounts on stock speakers.

Easy to use
Makes the job simple from brighton, MI on 2/21/2016
2003 Lexus RX300
These mounts are almost as tall as the OEM risers and so they fit well behind the door panel with no cutting at all. I did apply silicone between the mount and the door since the OEM mount had a gasket for moisture control, plus it would help dampen some vibration from the hard plastic mount against door shell.
Pros: Easy to use and all hardware was included.
Cons:

Product was too big to be used in my 07 STi. You would have to drill holes further out from the factory cutout and thus not able to use the screw retainers that came with the kit.
Pros: Good solid construction.
Cons: Was not able to be installed by the given instructions.

Mounts were fine, but hardware was useless. Screw heads smaller than holes in the mounts. Two mounts sent and each had different type snap tabs neither of which worked because the screw hole was too from the edge of the speaker hole. Found some larger screws and screwed directly into the door panel without snap tabs.
Pros: Free with speakers and fit speakers well.
Cons: Need larger screws and nuts to fasten to the door panel.

Close, but no fit.
JohnW from Pennsylvania on 6/25/2015
It came for free with my speakers for my front doors, but they did not fit my door. I had to drill new holes in my door, and even then, the bracket did not even cover the entire speaker hole. Drilling holes was easy and not a problem. But I just wish it actually covered the speaker holes. I might have to add some kind of sound deadening as support and to close up the rest of the hole.
Pros: - Free with speakers
Cons: - Doesn't fit my car - Holes don't align with factory holes, so be prepared to drill

Speaker Install Made Easy!
Fern&o from Aliso Viejo, CA on 4/24/2015
Purchased a set of 6-1/2" speakers and Crutchfied threw in these brackets for FREE! This was very helpful. NOTE: I had to install them inside out due to the diameter of the speakers which would have not fit otherwise. All I had to do was drill the four holes on brackets. Also, I aligned the outer rim with 3M automotive double-sided tape to prevent raddle.
Pros: Worked perfect for my Subaru BRZ install.
Cons: Had to use it inside out in order to make it work.

Didn't fit 2013 Ford Explorer and Infinity Primus 6502is
DW from Plano, TX on 9/23/2014
These really didn't work at all with the Infinity Primus 6502is speakers in a 2013 Ford Explorer. The speaker mounting tabs were of a larger bolt circle than the adapter bracket had. I had to located an adapter flange at my local hardware store, and with some modification got it to fit both the speaker and the adapter. Also, the mounting tabs on the adapter didn't fit the stock holes in the Ford, so I had to drill a hole in the door to get 3 mount points. Actually a little disappointed, first time after many purchases from Crutchfield that something they supplied didn't fit. Unfortunately, there wasn't a better solution offered by Crutchfield.
Pros: not many,
Cons: didn't fit my speaker and car

Didn't work for my application
ShaunA from New Port Richey, fL on 8/28/2014
2004 Mercedes-Benz C-Class
Ordered these by themselves separate from any speakers to aid in installation in our Mercedes C240. The factory speakers were built in to a special OEM enclosure that brought the speaker farther forward to meet the door panel and had a foam surround incorporated to help channel the sound waves into the cabin. These brackets set to far back and some sound would have been lost behind the door panel. I was replacing blown speakers so I cannibalized the factory enclosure and basket and remounted the new speakers in that enclosure for a better fit and sound channeling.
Pros: None for my application
Cons: See review.

Not so much
Chris L from Richmond VA on 12/17/2013
Did they work - yes, did they work well-far from it. This is for the 6x9' Toyota to 6.5" adaptors. The build of the brackets is so flimsy that it doesn't seal around the outer edges as it should. Even with foam stripping the plastic frame bent badly. It also did not meet up to the factory hole on one side to seal up as needed. After pulling the door panel a few times I finally spent a couple of hours modifying the factory speaker frame and this bracket to make a unit that worked well. Without this I would've had to build one from scratch so it was helpful but far from the correct piece needed for a quality install.
Pros: Crutchfield is awesome as always. served the purpose of fitting the speaker
Cons: low quality-mass build feel with subpar results.

I called the help line because the way these mounting brackets work wasn't apparent to me. You have to force the screws into the sides of the bracket. The screws provided weren't long enough do successfully accomplish this, so I used slightly longer screws of my own. Once everything was mounted and secure, they worked fine.
Pros: Adaptable to the car doors as needed.
Cons: Hardware provided wasn't useful.

Not for 6 1/2 in speakers
dnardi from Mass on 4/8/2013
2010 Toyota Tundra
Bought these to mount Infinity Kappa 62.9i speaker in the rear door of a Tundra. The bracket fits the truck door properly, but they do not hold a 6 1/2" speaker by default - they are too small. In order to mount a 6 1/2" speaker you need another bracket that mounts to a the speaker to a 5 1/4" hole and then has a flange to mount the 6 1/2" speaker to it. Luckily the Infinity speakers came with such an adapter. Though using the second adapter with these makes the speaker mount farther out of the door by 1/4"causing the tweeter to contact the door grill. I had to grind down the honeycomb plastic on the back of the door pannel grill to make room.
Pros: mounts to door properly and securly solid mount and well made
Cons: doesn't fit 6 1/2" speakers by default.

Did not fix 06 Subaru Impreza WRX STi
Andrew K from Annapolis,MD on 6/28/2012
2006 Subaru Impreza WRX STi
None of the mounting holes to the door lined up even remotely close. The best trick I figured out was to cut an outline of one of the speaker adapters out of the cardboard from a pizza box. Punch holes in the cardboard exactly where the existing holes are first. Then tape the template onto the door so the holes already in the door line up to uncut areas of the cardboard, then use a knife to punch holes in the cardboard where the right mounting holes need to be drilled. Then actually screw the cardboard template to the door to make sure all the holes fit. After a good fit then I taped the template to the plastic speaker adapter and used a drill to drill the new mounting holes. Once this was done the plastic speaker adapters worked fine. With all that work I question why it would be easier to use these plastic things over just cutting some rings out of MDF in the first place. I'm sure these things probably fit other cars right out of the box, or they expect you to just drill holes in your door. The later I wasn't willing to do.
Pros: Adapters came for free with my new Kicker speakers.
Cons: -None of the mounting tabs or pre-drilled holes lined up at all with the factory mounting holes in my door. -As much fabrication necessarily as to just make your own speaker brackets out of MDF.

Sufficient
Alex C from Los Angeles, CA on 5/29/2012
2007 Toyota Corolla
Some installation feedback: The adapter brackets came with sheet-metal screws and "fast clips." I was unable to use the clips in the fashion for which they are designed because the mounting holes are too far from the speaker hole (about 1 to 1.5 inches away, and the clip is only 1/2 inch total width). My solution was to duct tape the clips on the back side of the screw holes for the 2 holes I was reusing. For the one hole I had to drill, I could match the drill bit to the screw. Also, the sheet metal screws for the bracket required a washer for at least one of the holes, since the screw head easily slips through. These should be included in the bracket hardware.
Pros: They work and the material seems substantial
Cons: Hardware is lacking or requires improvisation.

Nice solution
AllanC from Orlando, Florida on 4/2/2011
I got a set of speakers as a Christmas gift and when I attempted to install them in my Toyota Highlander, I realized that I needed a special set of brackets to complete the mounting on the car doors. I called Crutchfield and their customer service team was able to point me to this set of brackets. They were almost perfect. I had to do a couple of minor adjustments (drill an extra hole on the brackets) for the front doors. After that, the installation of my speakers went pretty smooth. Excellent solution.

Be sure to get the right ones!
ToyotaMan from Williamsburg, VA on 2/26/2011
My 1999 was built in May 1999, which meant the GM/Jeep brackets that Crutchfield sent did not fit. These, which are for a 2000, fit. So, check your door plate to see which ones you need. The others do not fit at all, and modification is far less desirable for this part than getting the right one.

These adapters fit perfectly and were very easy to install. I used them with Kenwood 6 1/2" speakers into a 2000 Toyota Celica and they worked great. The only modification I had to make was to use my own screws because the provided screws didn't work quite right with my car but this was a very minor adjustment. The shipping was very fast and you can't beat the price!

Well I got burned with this one they said it would fit my car and so I ordered it having ordered things from other places and having them doing what the site store said it would fit/do with little or no problems. There is no way I will modify a standard part so this thing will go to a garage sale and be done with.

Im glad these were included with my speaker purchase otherwise I would not have been able to mount my speakers. The window mechanism was hitting the magnet on the speaker when the speaker was directly mounted to the door. I did the driver side first and it was a little tricky to figure out how to position it. Passenger side went much smoother after doing the driver side. If Crutchfield offers them with your speakers, you are most likely going to need them.

I was very disappointed these adapters did not work as well as the others I had purchased from Soche. They fit the Alpine 600 series speakers perfectly but they did not fit into the factory door panel on my 2008 Toyota Tacoma double cab. I had to turn the adapter inside out and make and additional template so the speaker would seal tightly to the door with no exposed gaps etc. Between Alpine and Soche they did provide plenty of screws to use.

Doesn't fit at all
Keith from Seattle, WA on 1/18/2010
2005 Subaru Impreza 2.5 RS
These adapters didn't fit the Boston SX65 speakers they came with at all. Luckily, I was able to use the adapters that came with the speakers to make it all fit. I'm not even sure why Crutchfield would include these brackets with the Boston SX65s. The problem was that the brackets had the right size hole for the speaker to slide into, but there was no way to attach the two together. The speakers screw holes are on tabs that extend out from the frame and the brackets didn't have anything that the screws could tap into. I guess I could have glued the speaker to the bracket, but I found a better way.

Brittle, useless with 6-1/2 inch Boston Acoustics SX60
akoudriashov from NH on 6/24/2009
2007 Toyota RAV4
Got these with Boston Acoustics SX60 component speakers. The brackets are too small for BA 6-1/2 woofers, so not sure why Crutchfield provides them with BA SX60. When I attempted to drill holes for BA woofers, the brittle plastic just cracked all over the place. Fortunately, I was able to install BA SX60 woofers without these stupid brackets. Mr. Crutchfiled, please do a better job selecting speaker installation brackets!

Although this bracket makes the install possible, all of the mounting tabs had to be snapped off and new holes had to be drilled. The brackets are made of a very brittle plastic becareful when drilling or fabricating.

2009 Yaris 5 door LB install
Richie from North Port, FL on 5/16/2009
2009 Toyota Yaris
These brackets are too small for the 6 1/2" Infinity Reference series speakers. I had to mount the metal spacer rings that came with the Infinity's to this by drilling them out and using small bolts (that I had to cut down) and nuts before I could mount the speakers to it. I had to drill all new holes in the rear door panels of my 5 door Yaris liftback and add washers to the screws because the mounting holes in these brackets are too big for the screws. It was do-able. But if anyone thinks it is a plug and play replacement for the factory speakers be prepared to get creative. As for the front doors, I just used the black plastic speaker mounting adapters that came with the Infinity's and just redrilled new holes.

These Speaker Brackets worked good. When I looked at the Pic on the web site, they didn't look tall anuff. I didn't think they were going to be what I needed. When I got them, they ended up to be exactly what I needed.......... The only down side was the slots that the speaker screwed into didn't leave one with the real secure felling that they were in there good & tight, expecally with the vibration the speaker goes threw, but you need them, so what can you do? ALL-in-ALL. the front door brackets work great, the back door brackets are OK.

2006 Subaru WRX - terrible fit!
C.M. from New Hampshire on 5/13/2009
2006 Subaru Impreza WRX
None of the holes in the adapter fit the existing inserts in the front doors of my '06 WRX. I was faced with a choice of drilling the doors, or re-drilling the adapters, which i did after cutting off all tabs to make the bracket physically fit the door. The speakers roughly fit the brackets...but it wasn't a perfect fit. You would think that would line up with a standard speaker mounting pattern, but it wasn't perfect. If you're remotely good with hand tools, you can make these work, but they may as well be any random speaker spacer. They do not fit this car. Rating of 2 stars because they are able to be massaged into working; I have no doubt I'll be back in the doors to fix things in the future.

worked pretty good
chris from germantown, wi on 4/2/2009
These came with my Alpine SPS-600 series speakers. I bought for the front and rear door of my 2005 Highlander. I don't think the speakers would of worked with the mounts except the fact Alpine provided an adapter bracket with the speakers. This proved to be the ticket. It all fit perfectly onto the mount and the mount went right to the original speaker attachment screws. I did have to wedge one of the screws at an angle but the plastic allowed for it without cracking. This was the easiest speaker install that I have ever done with the free mounting hardware provided by Crutchfield. Thanks Crutchfield - I be jamming!

Scosche SAT6 Speaker Mounting Brackets
Heriberto from Miami, FL on 4/2/2009
I did not like the brackets for the 6.5 speakers on my Corolla. The material is fine but the rim where you attach the speaker is not wide enough to fully screw in the speaker. I had to screw in at weird angles to be able to reach plastic because the speaker was wider than the adapter. One thing that doesn't make sense is that the clips that are meant to be screwed into for the screws not to back out are not long enough to reach where the holes are in the adapter.

Only one drawback
Jar from Georgia on 3/24/2009
These brackets worked great other than the slight modification (according to Crutchfield advisor) to the rear door panels. It ended up being a pretty hefty modification to make the 6.5" Infinity reference work in the rear doors of 2007 Toyota Tundra Crew Max. I shaved all of the rim around the waffling completely off to get them to fit. Set me back 20 minutes on the install. The front door mounting brackets were incredibly easy in comparison!!

I installed these in my 2005 Prius and they worked perfectly. Other reviewers said that they had problems with 6.5" speakers, but I tried them with a set of Sony XS-GT1626A speakers and they worked great. The only snag was that the speed clips do not attach to the body of the car door--if they even fit (which mine didn't) they wouldn't line up with the holes in the adapter. Also, there was a lot of unnecessary hardware to confuse the installation. But they worked!

Scosche SAT6 Speaker Mounting Brackets
Mike from Massachusetts on 4/6/2008
i bought these to install my MB quart 5 1/4" speakers in the front doors of my 2008 Toyota Corolla. I had to file a little off the mounting cutout to allow the speakers to fit. I cant see how a 6 1/2" speaker could possibly fit. The heads of the screws provided to secure the adapter to the door, were too small, so I had to place washers behind the heads so they wouldn't slip through the holes. The slide on speed clip/nut doesn't slide on the door panel of my Corolla because there is a lip on the door cutout(not the adapters fault). So you have to reach in and hold the clip from the back. However.... If you are using these with foam speaker baffles(as I was to protect from rain)there is no way to reach your hand in to hold the speed clip/nut for the screw. I had to use some glue to hold the clips to the inside of the door while I attached the screws. I ended up cutting the back of the foam baffles so I could reach in and hold the clip by hand. You have to be careful screwing the speaker to the adapter and not screw too tight, as they easily strip the plastic adapter. I stripped one hole in each bracket, and could have easily stripped more. Overall I believe these are easier than having to make your own adapters.

Fit great in door panels with some additional drilling for speaker mounts when installing 6 1/2" speakers. For the rear speakers, I had 6 1/2" for the rear also, and these will not fit for this speaker size; 5 1/4" might though. I was able to mount the new speakers directly to the subframe by drilling new mount holes and using machine screws to secure. If I had this information when buying, I could have saved myself $12 and only bought one set.

These will work great to mount your 5.25 speakers in the rear of your Scion tc. They will not however work on your door speakers. Also when mounting these in the rear you need to break off a few tabs, at first try I thought they didn't fit at all. The fit isn't perfect you'll have to be careful as one hole would alwasy be just out of alignment and would try to strip the bolts.
