Easy to understand. Exactly what I wanted. Most negative thing was one Allen screw was cross threaded out of the package so kinda difficult to tighten ground wire without excessive force.
Pros: Great idea to keep space when needed.
Cons: One fastener less than optimal.

I purchased two of these connectors for the setup in my 2002 Camaro. Both the amp and the subwoofer are in the spare tire area and these provided a good solution for disconnecting the power in case the amp and sub needed to be removed from that confined area. The fit of the two halves seems to be good. Not too easy to come apart and unlikely to separate on their own. The suggestion for the tape over the set screws for the cables is a good idea. Perhaps being covered with some silicone or other type of rubber compound would work also.
Pros: Nice solution for a quick disconnect of audio equipment.
Cons: Holes for cables are barely large enough for 8 gauge wire. I drilled mine out slightly so I could also use ferrules and, amazingly, they still work! One of the plugs came with the correct allen wrench while the other did not have a wrench at all.

This is a great solution if you want to have the option of removing an amp or powered subwoofer from time to time, or if you want to move it between vehicles.

Good quality I like to remove my power sub out of my boat when I'm not using it. Just unplug it!
Pros: Easy to install. Good quality
Cons: Just wish it came with a plug cover for the power side to keep dust and moisture out while the amplifier is not being used.

4.5 Stars!!! Not going to lie, this thing works wonders. Super easy to unplug and plug on the go to remove equipment at a quick notice. Only complaint is it comes in 8awg and is a tight fit. Make sure you twist your wire while going into the slot or some outside wires won't make it in. Would definitely recommend and buy again.

Well worth the investment if you're constantly tinkering with your amps. The plugs are sold construction, and don't feel like they'll slip apart during turbulent rides.

I haven't installed it yet waiting on my new saddlebags. but I can tell you from what i have on my old setup this is a lot better. more compact. I just wish it came with a rubber cover or boots for a some what water resistant seal.

This thing is the cat's pajamas for standard sized amp wiring. It fits up to 8 gauge wire and is a must-have if you need to take your sub out from time to time.
Pros: Well made, compact, comes with mounting screws
Cons: Make another that can handle bigger gauge wiring.

Quick Disconnect

This is an awesome quick disconnect setup for an amp. It works perfectly, without blowing a fuse or whatever. 4 stars and not 5 only because the metal set screws that tighten the wires are not covered in any way, so while they are flapping around in the vehicle bad things could happen. Heavy electrical tape solved that potential issue.

Make Sub Removal a Breeze

I have a Ford Explorer and installed a single 12" subwoofer and mounted the amp to the box. Having this now makes it a breeze to remove it for those times that I need the extra cargo space. No more having taped wires under my seat when I need cargo space, plus I can remove the subwoofer now in under 30 seconds.
Pros: Makes removing the subwoofer easy and quick
Cons: No allen wrench supplied, so make sure you have one handy in order to install. No big deal, just make sure you have one (metric 3mm)

I installed a 1250 watt amplifier in my motorcycle fairing and needed something to serve as a quick disconnect for the 8 gauge cables for power and ground. When washing the bike, I like to remove the fairing to clean under and behind it. The KwikPlug was perfect for the job. I can unplug the amplifiers cables and then remove the fairing in just a minute.Perfect for my application. Also I am new as a Crutchfield customer and very satisfied with the service and expertise they offer. A friend recommended them and I'm glad I took his advice. Great company and easy purchase.
