Work great

Easy and quick to install (with a little help from manual). Perfect fit to RS-175. Wish there was a cloth option that didn't flake after a couple of years. They'll flake just from time even if you rarely use them. Sennheiser manual claims the planned deterioration is for the sake of hygiene. Cost more than need be for short longevity of product.d

Original Equipment; Original Comfort

My 89 year old mom needed these, having worn out the ones on her TV headphones. She called to tell me how pleased she was with them and that she easily "installed" them herself. You can find cheaper elsewhere but these are OEM which I prefer to knock-offs. Crutchfield had the best price out there and delivered them promptly. You can't go wrong with Crutchfield.

Earpads need a fix...

This is my third set of Sennheiser RS 175 earpads within several years. They are easy to remove and replace, fit nicely, are comfortable and reasonably priced, but the quality of the earpad's covering is a major flaw. Whatever product is used invariably begins flaking off within a few short months. There must be an alternative that works better.hopefully someone will do a little research to improve this product. I'd give these earpads three and a half stars if that were possible.

Great Genuine Replacement

After a little over two years the thin leather like cover on the ear pads started flaking off. Considering I wear these at least 4 hours a day I cannot complain. The new pads are simple easy to replace. Just a CCW turn and they are off and reverse the process and they are on. Takes about a minute at most.

It is a shame that the fake leather coverings keep on wearing out on a product that other wise meets my needs, but it is cheaper to replace them than buy a brand new product.

Proper replacement, limited durability

Why are they manufactured with such inferior material? This was my 2nd replacement. They received little usage. Yet after a period of time, the foam covering just deteriorated.

No More Sennheiser Products For Me

While these replacements seem to be identical to the "originals" that were on my HDR -175 headphone that I just purchased last year, they are still substandard, in my opinion. Years ago, Sennheiser used cloth coverings on their headphone earpieces. Those lasted forever!! These cheap, micro-thin vinyl covered earpieces that Sennheiser switched to are unacceptable - they deteriorate in less than one year under normal use. I will continue to purchase other items from Crutchfield as I have for the past 30+ years, but I will never again purchase Sennheiser products.
