Great watch!

This watch is fantastic. The basic features, like heart rate monitor, work great (comparing to chest strap HR monitor to check for differences, both were nearly the same during exercise). Sleep monitoring also works well and has been very insightful. It also integrates nicely with other services (e.g. stationary bike) and its very easy to log workouts, such as running and weight lifting. Highly recommend!

Nice modern upgrade

I upgraded from my older Forerunner 45. This has more features and seems more intuitive. Works well with my Garmin app and I can still use my old charging cable, and didn't break the bank.

Garmin vivoactive 5

Love my Garmin vivoactive 5 watch. It's so easy to use and keeps me motivated to be active. It can track so many different activities and the cost was within a reasonable price for me. It's perfect!

Happy so far

I have only had my new Garmin for two days, but, so far, I love it! I had a Garmin Vivofit 2 for many years and was very happy with it, but then it stopped tracking my sleep (was too old to update), so I upgraded to this. It does so much for a reasonable price.

I've had an hr, a vivoactive 3, a 4, and now the 5. With the added sleep data(which I've become something of a freak about), this is the best garmin I've owned!

Might have to look for another option. Disappointed that the advertised WI-FI connectivity only applies when you want to sync with Garmin Connect or for downloading music. Everything about the the VivoActive 5 is great except for the WI-FI. It should have the ability to connect to my own home network when out of Bluetooth range (30ft. or less) in order to be able to receive notifications. It takes away from the convenience of having a smartwatch if you have to make sure you take your phone with you when moving from room to room in order to stay connected. Garmin should have allowed for a menu option to turn WI-FI on and off with the ability to auto connect to memorized Wi-Fi networks.

Garmin

I purchased this watch for the options and the purple color. I have another Garmin watch and I love them. Crutchfield was the only place with an option for direct delivery via UPS or FedEx.

VivoActive 5!

Was a gift. It also was an upgrade from my Venu SQ which I loved. Still getting use to it, but so far it is excellent. Give me a lot more detail especially for my sleep. Bar in has always been my favorite for running.
