Former Fitbit user, went through two of those in the last 3 years-didn't feel like investing in a 3rd one.so decided to try out Garmin! I have had the Forerunner 165 for a month now, and it's FANTASTIC so far. I researched all the garmins, chose this one due to being the "beginner" watch, the price, and the size of the watch face-not too large, and not too small. I'm not a techie guy, I don't care to know all the details of how my foot strikes the pavement when I run. But I would like to know my heart rate, the distance travelled, and steps taken. Bonuses go to the weather forecast, the current temperature, the sleep tracking is phenomenal, and this watch straight out of the box is super comfortable-I've only taken it off to charge it, which the battery life has been excellent, and it charges very quickly. There's soooo much more this watch can do, but I'm not the expert to let you know all about that. If you're like me, not very techie by choice but very active outdoors, I would highly recommend the Forerunner 165, especially at this price point.

Terrible product. Says that it records your heart rate but it's never right. It has said that my heart rate is over 200 when I'm just walking around the park. It also doesn't show up when you turn your wrist (the gesture feature). Yet it is overly sensitive when you don't want it to be such as in the shower. All the water droplets activate it and mess with the settings. The sleep feature stoped working also just simple saying that "no sleep was recorded". I've only had it for 4 months and I can't believe I spent good money on this crappy item.
