Stay compliant with Garmin's easy-to-use logging device
There's a lot of romance associated with being a long-distance trucker, thanks to great songs by C.W. McCall, Johnny Cash, Del Reeves, Red Sovine, and others. But let's face it: driving a rig's a lot of work, and there's a fair amount of drudgery involved, especially when it comes to paperwork. Garmin's eLog ELD for truckers is here to help reduce the headaches of keeping track of hours, miles, and the like. This convenient device plugs right into your truck's diagnostic port and offers continuous coverage without any additional costs or fees.
Compliant with FMCSA
The eLog tracks your driving time accurately and automatically, and allows you to update your driver duty status with ease. It'll even show you your remaining driving hours by day or week. The Hours of Service (HOS) recording is within FMCSA ELD guidelines, and the data is stored securely on your phone, not to the cloud. If you need remote access for roadside inspection, the eLog's USB port accommodates a flash drive for quick data transfer.
Works with most trucks
The eLog's compatible with 9-pin J1939 and 6-pin J1708 diagnostic ports, so it'll likely work just fine in your rig right out of the box. All you need to do is download the free Garmin eLog app to your smartphone and you're good to go once you've got the eLog plugged in.
See your info on Garmin's dezl truck navigators
Got a Garmin dezl? The eLog's compatible with newer models, so if you pair the ELD with your navigator, you'll be able to see your info and change your driver duty status right on the navigator's touchscreen.

Features
Overview: The Garmin eLog Compliant ELD (electronic logging device) is a subscription-free solution to your hours-of-service (HOS) recording compliance. Garmin eLog is approved by the FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) to meet ELD mandates. The free Garmin eLog app completes your ELD compliance, allowing you to store your records on your smartphone for viewing anytime. You can pair the eLog with your Garmin dēzl GPS navigator to view your logging information in real time. Right out of the box, eLog fits a 9-pin J1939 diagnostic port. With the included adapter, it also works with 6-pin J1708 ports.
Garmin dēzl Navigator Compatibility: Garmin eLog works with many Garmin dēzl GPS truck navigators, including dēzl 570LMT, dēzl 580LMT-S, dēzl 770LMTHD, and dēzlCam LMTHD. Your dēzl device automatically tracks and records hours-of-service, and allows you to view your duty status, HOS information, and more on the dēzl's display.
Garmin eLog App: The Garmin eLog app needs to be downloaded to your smartphone to complete your electronic logging compliance. As you drive, the eLog device automatically records your driving data where it can be securely transferred via Bluetooth and stored in your smartphone. The data is never in the cloud. The Garmin eLog app is available for free download from the Apple App Store for devices running iOS 9.0 or later. It also works with Android devices with version 4.1 and up.
