With the Garmin GHS 11 remote handset, you can control your Garmin VHF 210 radio (sold separately) from your boat's flybridge or another location. The user-friendly, water-resistant design features soft keys, a 2" diagonal dot matrix display and a coiled cable that stretches from about one foot to nearly five feet.
The rotary/push knob controls the volume, squelch and channel selection, plus there's a dedicated button for access to channels 16 and 9. Garmin wisely made sure the buttons and knobs resemble the ones on the VHF radio, so everything will be easy and intuitive. In another clever touch, the built-in microphone can serve as an intercom. A 10-meter cable connects the handset to the VHF 210.

Overview: The GHS 11 is a wired VHF handset for select Garmin VHF radios. With the handset, you can have full functionality of your radio from a remote location. Attached to the handset is a coiled cord that stretches out to nearly 5 feet. The GHS 11 comes with a 10-meter cable (33 feet) to connect the handset to your VHF radio. Mounting hardware for the handset and cable connector is included.
Handset: The GHS 11 has a backlit 2" diagonal dot matrix LED display with three soft keys. It has a rotary knob for volume, squelch, and channel selection with a push to select action. There's also a dedicated button for channels 16/9. The buttons and knobs on the handset are designed just like those of the compatible VHF radio. When connected to a speaker, the GHS 11 has intercom capabilities.
Installation: The GHS 11 handset is designed to be installed in a location away from the VHF radio, but close enough that the supplied 33 foot extension cable will reach back to the radio. The included hardware lets you mount the cable connector through a wall or other flat surface. The connector can be protected with a plastic weather cap when the handset is unplugged. When not using the handset, you can place it in the supplied cradle mount, or hang it on the microphone hanger.
