Features
Optics: The Sony SEL35F18 (E 35mm F1.8 OSS) prime lens is compatible with the Sony α E-mount mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras. The lens provides a 35mm equivalent focal length of 52.5mm, and is recommended for a wide variety of photos, from snapshots to portraits. The bright F1.8 aperture makes it a good lens for low light situations.
Note: Using this lens on a full-frame camera may result in vignetting -- causing the corners of the image to become darker than the center.
Optical SteadyShot (OSS): Equipped with Optical SteadyShot (OSS), the lens compensates for blur caused by camera shake for normal handheld photography. OSS also reduces the reliance on high ISO settings when shooting in dark environments, which greatly enhances the effectiveness of the Hand-held Twilight and Anti-Motion Blur shooting modes. Optical SteadyShot gives you a 4-stop shutter speed advantage when activated.
Quiet Smooth Focus: The SEL35F18 has a high-speed linear motor controls the focus while an in-lens stepping motor in the actuator controls the aperture. The two motors work together to provide extremely quiet operation and smooth focusing, plus quiet and fluid aperture control. This makes them ideal for shooting video because it is unlikely any lens noise will be picked up by the microphone.
Lens Hood: The lens includes the ALC-SH112 Lens Hood to reduce flare and ensure maximum image quality. The lens hood should be removed when using the camera's built-in flash to avoid blocking the flash light. You can store the lens hood by mounting it onto the lens backward. When installed, the lens hood adds approximately 1-3/16" to the total length of the lens.
Focusing: The lens can be used with Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras in the auto-focus, Direct Manual Focus, or manual focus modes. You can switch between focusing modes in the camera menu.

Perfect combo for 6000/6300/6500. For the price it does the job very well, almost close to Zeiss option at 40-50% of the price. Silent and fast auto focusing. Have seen chromatic aberration though. Overall happy with the results.
