Technical Information
The XA 39MKii works by switching back and forth between two
different sets of preamp inputs when 12 volts is sensed on either of its two amp
remote inputs. The inputs must be connected to the power antenna (or amp remote)
leads from BOTH head units to switch back and forth properly from either source.
If for some reason though, one of the units does not have such a lead, it is
possible to use a toggle switch with 12 volts on one side as long as the
customer doesn't mind having to remember to switch it manually for that source.
The MK2 switcher also features an amplifier turn on lead output that will turn
the amplifier(s) on with either head unit. This unit requires 12 V accessory
power and ground in order to work.
