I like look of it overall, for what you pay for you definitely get your money's worth. Should not have purchase another a/v receiver anytime soon. Would recommend. Unfortunately the cable labels where not in the box. I plan to get a new subwoofer from you soon, so maybe you can ship the cable labels Then. Thank you, David R.
Pros: Looks great on any rack or a/v furniture Value for money XLR input for phonograph XLR outputs L/c/R. pre outs XLR outputs 2 independent subs outs AM antenna plugs straight in no wires.
Cons: heavy then an average a/v receivers Remote is ok, but all plastic.

This is an update of my previous review. Integra has recently done a software update that has upgraded the streaming to support up to 24/192 bit rate ( 16/44.1 was the original limit) Dirac has also recently updated the software. These are definite improvements in sound
Pros: Improved sound Higher streaming bit rate
Cons: Lacks a actual manual Over 200 pages online only

Integra DRX-8.4

I am so very happy and pleased with this Integra receiver. I has and dose everything i was expecting it to do. To all future buyers of this piece, don't hesitate. You will enjoy it as much as i am.
Pros: All * * * * * stars. I have had top of the line Pioneer, Onkeo before. This machine beats them all, hands down.

Integra DRX-8.4

This unit replaced an older 7.8 Integra that died. Unit good for movies , music not so much. The Dirac does help , without Dirac sound seems to be out of phase while playing 2 channel music. Unit has an abundance of inputs and outputs. I'd recommend a separate amp for 2 channel music. Using tidal through the 8.4 isn't good , for some reason it doesn't play above 16/44.1 & the format isn't great. I'd expect more for a flagship model. My older 7.8 Integra was a fine unit and this was one of the reasons I chose Integra again.
Pros: All the inputs & outputs one could ever want
Cons: Tidal internal software is poor Unit is excessively complicated Clicking relays not very reassuring 212 page online manual Lack of manufacturer support

Integra 8.4 os amazing!!

The 8.4 has blown me away!! Movies sound amazing, I still need to make add'l tweaks with Dirac for even better sound. I've actually spent most of my time with the 8.4 listening to music. The clarity is unreal, I'm hearing things in songs I've never heard before. I tried Sony's 5000ES receiver, but was very disappointed with the sound quality, hiss thru speakers, remote control, and their calibration. Buy the 8.4 you won't be disappointed!!
Pros: Plenty of power, Dirac makes movies awesome, and clarity with music is amazing!
Cons: It's a heavy beast :)

Upgraded from a Yamaha RX-V6A. Huge improvement. The DAC must be really good because the sound quality is awesome. Dirac works wonders. Has XLR pre-outs, and I was thinking about stepping up to a separate amp. That plan has never come to fruition, because the Integra has loads of power. Distortion free to ear splitting levels. Discovered it can biamp the center channel, so I modified my CSS 2TDX to take advantage of that too. Love this thing.

Integra DRX-8.4

Bought Dent and Scratch model. I can't see any scratches, unit works well so far and all the expected parts and documents were in the original packaging double boxed. Even the box was perfect.
