Ring's Smart Lighting Floodlight is a powerful motion-sensing floodlight, but if you connect it to your Ring ecosystem using the Ring Smart Lighting Bridge (sold separately), it can do more than shine a light.
When someone enters the motion zone, it will not only turn on the ultra-bright LED floodlights, but it will also send a notification to your phone to let you know. And if you have it grouped with other lights, it can turn those on, too.
If you are a Ring Protect subscriber, you can even have it trigger recording on your other Ring cameras and doorbells so you catch motion events even earlier.
Alexa, turn on the lights
When you connect your Floodlight via the Bridge, you can use select Alexa-enabled devices to control your lights using your voice. And Alexa can speak up when one of your lights or motion sensors detects motion.
Choose the right Ring Floodlight
This Ring Floodlight has to be hardwired. If you aren't replacing an existing floodlight, check out the Ring Floodlight Battery instead. They are both available in your choice of black or white.

Overview: Ring's new Smart Lighting products can light specific areas around the exterior of your home for added safety and security. This hardwired Floodlight can illuminate your driveway, yard, and high-traffic areas when motion is detected. The Floodlight can turn itself on automatically when it detects motion, in sync with other Ring Smart Lights*, or manually through the Ring App*. The Floodlight is hardwired into your home's electrical circuit (100-240V), and can easily replace an existing floodlight, or installed in a new location. The light comes with installation tools and hardware, and is protected by a 1-year limited warranty.
* Note: The Ring Bridge (sold separately) is required for setup and interacting with other Ring Products or the Ring App.
Ring Bridge: The Ring Bridge integrates Ring Smart Lights, Motion Sensors, and Transformers into your Ring system. The Bridge uses your home Wi-Fi to connect to the Ring app. It also connects to other Ring Smart Lights using a proprietary long-range protocol. During setup on the Ring app, you can control groups of lights at once, and receive notifications via the app when any light or motion sensor detects movement. You can also integrate Smart Lights with Ring Doorbells or Security Cameras for enhanced security, and control the lights via voice control with Alexa. Without the Bridge, Ring Smart Lights function only as standard motion-sensing lights.
Floodlight: The Ring Floodlight has two independently adjustable, high-efficiency LED lights that illuminate the important areas of your home with 2000 lumens of brightness, at a 3500K Color Temperature. The light has an adjustable auto shutoff time of 30 seconds to 2 minutes.
Motion Detection: The Ring Floodlight features adjustable motion detection with a field of view of up to 180°. It has a range of up to 70 feet, with the detection angle dependent upon the distance from the unit. The motion detector unit is mounted to the Floodlight fixture with a 4-way adjustable ball-and-socket joint which allows you to aim the detector in any direction or angle.
Installation: The Floodlight is designed to be mounted on an exterior wall of your home, replacing an existing floodlight. It requires a 4" diameter round weatherproof junction box with AC power wiring. The included mounting bracket installs over the junction box, and has multiple length threaded mounting posts for securing the Floodlight. Average install time is approximately 15 to 30 minutes.
Included Hardware: The Floodlight includes the Bag o' Screws, which consists of seven small packets of screws and a bag of wire nuts for wiring and installing the light. Each packet is marked with a letter to designate the type of screws included: standard screws (bag A), longer standard screws for recessed junction boxes (bags B & C), screws for older boxes with smaller screw holes (bags D & E), screws for securing the plastic mounting plate (bag F), wire nuts (bag G), and screws for mounting the Floodlight to the plate (bag H). Ring has thoughtfully included an extra screw in each bag, just in case you drop one during the installation.
Weather Resistant: The Floodlight is designed to be used outdoors. It is resistant to inclement weather and temperature extremes (-4°F to 118.4°F).
