Installing a Ring Video Doorbell or Security Cam? The Ring Chime Pro acts as a bridge between your router and your Ring devices, extending the Wi-Fi range and increasing the signal to the rest of your Ring system. It also amplifies alert sounds so you know when someone trips a motion sensor or presses the button on your Ring Doorbell.

I put my Chime Pro in the mudroom between my front door and my router.

Plug the Ring Chime Pro into a power outlet and connect it to your Ring devices using the free mobile app. Chime Pro will then let you know when one of those devices is activated. You can even customize the tone and volume of the alert sound using the app. “Chime Snooze” allows you to temporarily silence the speaker for a selected length of time.

My Chime story

I have a self-imposed rule that my phone is put away when we're watching a movie. But that meant I nearly missed a visit from my sister because I didn't see the Ring notification on my phone, and she didn't think to knock. That was the day I decided I needed to pick up a Chime Pro.

I chose a classic "ding-dong" sound for the doorbell chime. But I love that I can pick a different notification — including a spooky "woooooo" sound on Halloween — for motion alerts. And the alerts mean that I can sometimes beat my guests to the door, instead of almost missing them entirely.
