I picked up the previous model of Ring Chime Pro when I nearly missed a visit from my sister — I was watching a movie so I didn't see the Ring notification on my phone, and she didn't think to knock. Now I always know when someone is approaching my door, even when my phone isn't in my hand.
The new second-generation Ring Chime Pro has a streamlined design you can fit almost anywhere.
In addition to amplifying doorbell and motion alert sounds, the Ring Chime Pro acts as a bridge between your router and your Ring devices, extending the Wi-Fi range and increasing the signal to the rest of your Ring system. And as if that's not enough — this second generation version also has a built-in nightlight.
Easy to set up and use
This new model is more streamlined than the first, so you can plug it in discreetly pretty much anywhere. Use the Ring app to connect Chime Pro to one or more Ring devices, then Chime Pro will let you know when one of those devices is activated. You can even customize the tone and volume using the app. “Chime Snooze” allows you to temporarily silence the speaker for a selected length of time. The app also gives you control over the nightlight.

Overview: Ring Chime Pro (2nd generation) is an accessory for Ring Video Doorbells and Security Cameras. Whenever your Ring Video Doorbell or Security Camera sends out a notification, you'll be able to hear it on Chime Pro, even if you aren't near your smartphone. It also acts as a Wi-Fi extender to boost your network signal and eliminate dead zones. Chime Pro plugs into any standard AC power outlet (110-240V AC), and connects to an unlimited number of Ring devices through your dual-band Wi-Fi network (5GHz and 2.4GHz). Chime Pro allows you to get notifications in any room of your home that has Wi-Fi. In the Ring app, you can set up multiple alert tones, and adjust the volume of the notifications. There are over 30 classic and seasonal alert tones to choose from. Ring Chime Pro has a Do Not Disturb mode that allows you to turn off notifications in the app, whenever you want some quiet time. In addition, Chime Pro has a night light on the bottom panel to light your way in the dark.
LED Indicator: The Ring Chime Pro (2nd generation) features an LED status indicator in the upper right corner for setup and power status.

I bought this chime pro to upgrade from the original ring chime , the night light feature is very convenient and able to be turned on or off and the ring app is great at controlling the options on the chime , its nice to be able to hear the doorbell when your in another part of your home.
