About the Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro

Upgrade your floodlights
Upgrade your floodlights
I have two Ring Floodlight Cams, and I love the crystal clear view they give me of my front and back yards. This new Floodlight Cam Pro builds on an already great feature set with brighter LEDs, enhanced audio, High Dynamic Range (HDR), and more advanced motion detection. It does need to be hardwired, but it connects to standard junction boxes and easily replaces existing wired floodlights for a substantial home security upgrade with minimal effort.

Ring's Floodlight Cam Pro comes in black or white to complement your home's exterior.
Bird's-eye view
Ring's Floodlight Cam Pro uses a new radar technology to deliver a couple of cool features that work together. Older iterations of Ring's motion detection allowed you to create custom motion zones using the app. The Pro expands on this with 3D Motion Detection. You set a perimeter between five and thirty feet from your camera, and a recording will be triggered when someone or something enters that area. You'll also be able to see their path as a series of dots using Bird's Eye View, a feature that uses satellite imaging to give you an aerial view of motion events around your home.
Optional cloud storage
The camera streams live footage to the app 24/7, but if you want to save or send video clips, you'll need a Ring Protect plan. Ring Protect is a subscription-based cloud storage service. The basic package ($3.99/month or $39.99/year)* covers a single camera and allows you to save and share your Ring videos from that camera. You get a free, 30-day trial subscription when you activate your Ring device.
Installing multiple Ring devices? The Ring Protect Plus plan ($10/month or $100/year) includes cloud storage for unlimited Ring devices at a single location.

Just ask Alexa
I also have good news for Smart home fans — Ring cameras will work with Amazon Alexa-enabled devices for voice control. If you have an Amazon Fire TV, or an Echo Show or Spot, you can ask Alexa to show you the live stream from your Floodlight Cam.

More details on the Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro

Product Research
Features
Overview: The Floodlight Cam Wired Pro is Ring's most advanced outdoor security camera. It is equipped with dual, motion-activated 2000-lumen floodlights that can light up a wide area. With built-in dual-band Wi-Fi, you can view the streaming video on the Ring app directly from your computer, tablet, smartphone, or Alexa Show device. It has a dual microphone array for enhanced Audio+ plus a speaker that allows two-way talk capability. The Floodlight Cam is hardwired into your home's electrical circuit (100-240V), and can easily replace an existing floodlight.
Camera: The security camera has a wide-angle lens with a 140° horizontal and 80° vertical field of view. The camera produces bright 1080p HD video in a Live View that you can watch on your phone, tablet, or computer. High Dynamic Range (HDR) gives your video better detail, especially in shaded areas. Even with the lights off, the camera's infrared LEDs will enable the color night vision.
3D Motion Detection: The Floodlight Cam Wired Pro uses radar-powered 3D Motion Detection which identifies where and when a motion event is recorded. Using distance measurements and the angle of objects in front of the camera, the camera provides more specific motion detection alerts. The adjustable motion sensors cover a 270° arc, and can detect movement up to 30 feet away (based on a 9-foot mounting height). When motion is detected, the 2000-lumen, 3000 Kelvin floodlights will automatically turn on, and a notification will be sent to your smart device through the Ring app. The app lets you lay out custom zones for the motion detection, marking where on the property you want the camera to start recording when an object passes through the zone.
Bird's Eye View: When 3D Motion Detection flags a motion event, the Ring app will send out a notification to your smart device. When that occurs, the app shows an aerial Bird's Eye View of your property with an indication of the path that the visitor took through the motion zone.
110dB Siren: The camera features a 110-decibel siren alarm that will help scare off any intruders. The siren is remote activated from the Ring App on your smart device or computer.
Weather Resistant: The Floodlight Cam Wired Pro is designed to be used outdoors. It is resistant to inclement weather and temperature extremes (-5°F to 118°F).
Installation: The camera is designed to be mounted on an exterior wall of your home, replacing an existing floodlight. A new 4" diameter junction box should be installed for optimal performance. The included metal mounting bracket installs over the junction box. The plastic mounting plate attaches to the junction box, and has 1-1/2" threaded mounting posts for securing the Floodlight Cam. After hardwiring and installing the camera, you're ready for setup with the Ring App and position the lights and camera.
Wi-Fi: The Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro operates on an 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi connection on the 5 GHz or 2.4 GHz band. The Floodlight Cam requires a minimum upload speed of 1 Mbps, however, 2 Mbps is recommended for best streaming performance.
Ring App: The free Ring - Almost Home app pulls together all of your Ring devices, including Video Doorbells and Security Cameras. The app sends you an instant alert when someone triggers the camera's motion sensor, or rings your Ring Video Doorbell. You'll be able to see, hear, and speak to anyone on your property using your smart device. In addition, the app lets you create a virtual Neighborhood Watch and receive alerts from your neighbors. In the app, you can zoom and pan for a better look, flash the lights, activate the siren, customize the Motion Zones, edit the times for receiving (or not receiving) alerts, and how often to be notified for motion events. The Ring App is available for Apple iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch running iOS 14.0 or later, and for Android devices running version 9.0 and up. The Ring desktop app has been discontinued, however, all of your settings and Ring features will be accessible in your account on Ring.com.
Works with Alexa: The Ring Floodlight Cam Wired Pro is Alexa-enabled, allowing you to hear custom notifications from Amazon Echo Dot devices, and view video on Echo Show devices.
Optional Protection Plans: The Ring Always Home app keeps you connected to your home in real time, with instant alerts sent directly to your smartphone or tablet. If you have Ring security cameras or Video Doorbells, you also get live view and 2-way talk. A free 30-day trial of Ring Protect Plus is included when you initially set up your Ring device. Ring Protection Plans do not require contracts or long-term commitments. You may cancel your subscription at any time. As of July 1, 2022, there are two subscription plans available:
