Need a headset system for your fitness classes? Shure's BLX14/SM31 wireless headworn system includes the SM31FH headworn microphone, a BLX1 bodypack transmitter, and the BLX4 single-channel receiver. This package will connect you to your PA system, while giving you the freedom of movement for fitness instructors or other moisture-sensitive applications.
Simple setup
It's simple to set up the system's transmitter and receiver. Press the Group button on the receiver and it automatically scans for the clearest group and channel. Then just set the transmitter to the same group and channel settings and you're ready to go. You can also set the Group and Channel manually, plus you can run up to 12 systems simultaneously depending on channel availability and RF environment.

The SM31FH headworn microphone features moisture-resistant construction to allow you to work up a sweat without endangering the headset, while the BLX1 bodypack transmitter completes a light and portable wireless solution. The BLX14/SM31 system offers understated appearance and freedom of movement, delivering Shure sound quality in a simple package.
When considering a wireless system, you'll want to pick the frequency band with the least interference from local TV stations. Shure's Wireless Frequency Finder will show you the TV stations in your area, along with a list of recommended channels. Choose the frequency band that gives you the most open channels.

Overview: The Shure BLX14/SM31 Wireless Microphone System consists of the BLX4 Wireless Receiver, the SM31FH Fitness Headset Condenser Microphone and the BLX1 bodypack transmitter. You can operate up to 12 compatible systems per frequency band (depending upon your region). This system operates on the H10 frequency band (542 to 572 MHz), and has a transmitting range of approximately 300 feet.
BLX4: The BLX4 Single Channel Wireless Receiver features one-touch QuickScan frequency selection to help you find the best open frequency for less interference. You can also manually change the group and channel assignments, if needed. It has an XLR mic output, as well as a 1/4" instrument-level output jack. The BLX4 is simple to set up, and has a microprocessor-controlled internal diversity antenna system. It has two LED indicators: an Audio LED to indicate the strength of the incoming signal (glows green for normal and red for overload), and a Ready LED to indicate the system is ready for use and receiving the transmitter signal. It is powered by the supplied 12-volt DC power supply.
SM31FH Mic: The SM31FH Fitness Headset Condenser Microphone is a water-resistant headset microphone for use with a wireless bodypack transmitter. It features hydrophobic materials and a moisture-repelling cartridge housing, making it ideal for fitness instructors and in situations where the microphone may be exposed to moisture. It has a unidirectional cardioid polar pattern provides excellent off-axis rejection for higher gain-before-feedback when used with a stage monitor. The flexible gooseneck design lets you adjust the microphone to the ideal spot. The SM31FH comes with two foam windscreens and a clothing clip to keep the cable secure. The 45" cable is terminated by a 4-pin TA4F connector that plugs into the BLX1 bodypack transmitter.
BLX1: The SM31FH is paired with the BLX1 bodypack transmitter. It is powered by 2 "AA" alkaline batteries (included), which provide approximately 14 hours of battery life. The BLX1 has independent group and channel buttons for easy setup. The transmitter has a convenient clip for attaching it to a belt or pocket.
